Story
Meet Rose. She is a petite 40lb, 2 year old. Our best guess is that she has boxer, staffy, or bulldog in her or a combination of those breeds. Rose started her life in Tennessee being bred, only to be turned in to a shelter and finding she had heartworms. She now starts her new life in PA as a heartworm survivor, spayed, and ready to find a place to call home. She is a low to medium energy girl that likes to cuddle on the couch with you and give kisses or chew on a bone. Rose is create and house trained. She is treat motivated and has learned sit, paw, down, and roll over. She is people friendly and will roll over to get belly rubs. Rose would prefer to be your one and only but may do well with another calm dog that will respect her space. We recommend no cats or small animals. Rose is currently being fostered in Littlestown, PA. Her pictures don't do her justice, come meet her in person to see what a cutie pie she is! Story
I’m called Lil’ Dude, but my foster mom likes to call me Iggy, short for Igor. I guess it’s because of my adorable smile. What makes me smile? Cuddling! I love snuggling with my foster mom. She calls me a big giant baby. Ooo, and cheese. Cheese always makes me smile! I’m learning a lot from my foster big sister - I can now sit, come, go bedtime, and sometimes even stay! I’m even 95% potty trained - I can stay home for 5 - 6 hrs without having an accident, but if I can’t hold it, I know how to use a pee pad. My foster uncle says I’ve come a long way and would be the perfect dog for someone who can keep helping me with my manners. Oh, and if they have a fenced-in yard where I can jump and smell?! That would be doggie heaven! I might be open to a new friend, if you have someone you`d like me to meet. I can`t promise we will be best buddies but I would be open to meeting a friend and we can go from there. Check out a video of Lil Dude here: https://youtu.be/zJKJxe1YA0sInterested in adopting me? I am in a foster home so things need to be done a little differently. We recommend submitting a general online adoption application and then calling the shelter to let them know you are interested in meeting me!. Please note: all applications are considered general until the animal has been met. If you have any questions, please contact animalcenter@bmorehumane.org or 410-833-8848 Ext/Opt 2.

Story
Meet Benny, the Boxer mix! This sweet girl is about 6 years old and an 80lbs ball of love. Since coming into her foster home, she has been such a lovebug. She is pretty low energy, and wants nothing more than to gaze into your eyes and receive cuddles. Seriously, she loves looking deep into her humans' eyes. Her fosters thought she would sprain her tail because she wags it so hard every time she looks at them. Benny's previous life was clearly hard but family life makes her so happy. She would do well in a home where she is not alone for more than 6 hours at a time because she is happiest with her people. Benny loves the two young boys in her foster home, has enjoyed countless visits from other kids over the age of 7, and is always gentle as can be, despite her large size. She basks in attention from people of any age, strangers included. She spends her time trying to get her entire giant body on your lap as soon as you sit down, and jumping up to give you a full body hug. She is very mellow. Ever content with running around the yard, roughhousing with her dog brothers, having bones to chew, and 1-2 walks a day. She is very strong, and this is only apparent when she is on leash. She goes after squirrels and bunnies and needs a strong handler to walk her. She has not yet been introduced to a cat, but she is exceedingly gently with her family, even the geckos, so she might do well with slow introductions. Ask to meet Benny today!

Story
Dullie is a social, affectionate 2-3 year old Boxer mix. He loves being around people and despite initial observations, has proven to do well around men. He would thrive best in a household where people are frequently around. He gets along with other dogs, although he will need some initial time to adjust. He is motivated by food, so much so that it’s best to feed him separately from other dogs. Dullie is a trusted sidekick, who will stay by your side. He is looking for a bed to rest his head and snore the night away. His pastimes include exploring outside, napping, and occasional play with other dogs.

Story
Daisy-Boxer/Shepard female, ~ 1 yr. (Jan. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application. Daisy was saved by a Dog Trainer when she saw her in a high kill shelter. She knew this sweet girl needed a chance at life, not to have her life snuffed out before she's even gotten started. Daisy is a 'gem'...she's house trained, crate trained, according to her Inmate Trainer. She's been in a Training program at a Men's Prison and has already learned her basic obedience commands. She's learning about vehicle manners, how to load up. She knows about grooming and good care. She's good with other dogs, loves to play, still having puppy mannerism. Her favorite games, according to her foster dad is 'ball, tag and tug'! She loves the recent snow and had so much fun playing with a ball in the snow. Her buddy dogs, both big and small had fun with her. Children are an unknown, although she's been around children at the Trainer's Kennels. Daisy has a big bark, which can be misunderstood to a novice dog owner. She doesn't bark often, but will alert if a stranger wanks in the house. A home with experienced dog owners is preferred and Daisy would love to have a canine buddy. She would be considered medium/large in size and will enjoy an active lifestyle. Hiking and play! Daisy's adoption fee is $300 to help cover the medical expenses of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- DIAMOND IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION. PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.CONTACT DEE AT k9rescueva@gmail.com Diamond- adorable, sweet, loving Blue pittie girl !! Diamond is a beautiful, affectionate blue Bully Girl who is a sweetheart who is very affectionate and loves to lean up against you for a belly rub! She’s such a sweet, humble girl. It was hard to get good pics because she just wants to snuggle, hug, and kiss. She carries her toys around like they are her babies. Diamond is quiet and reserved. She would be best as an only pet as she has tons of love to give her family. She’d be a great dog for a solo or retired person or family. She fits all bills! Ask for her videos. Diamond would thrive in a home with a fenced yard. She is people focused, and is best not having to be leash-walked and can just relax in her kingdom with her people. She loves to run in the yard, and she loves to eat ! Diamond needs a life where she can focus on her people and just give them all the love in the world for years to come. She just needs a quiet home, and she will blossom. She loves all adults, and would be fine with kids. Diamond is reactive to some other dogs, but it depends on their reaction to her. She seems to like beagles and puppies especially !  email Dee at K9RescueVa@gmail.com. She hails from the streets of Houston, TX, where she was found wandering, an unfortunately common scenario in that area. Agnes is a truly special pup in need of a fresh start with defined boundaries so that she can enjoy the world of meeting new dogs again. Aggie is sweet, silky soft, and relishes in snuggles and being close to people in general. She is very food motivated (albiet a sensitive tummy to chicken & abrupt changes in diet) and has decent recall skills (fears missing out so she always came right back whenever she had snuck out). We are confident that with consistent training, leadership and continued love, Aggie can be an excellent addition to your 'ohana' (family). Agnes is currently living in Baltimore. Her DNA report is attached. If you are interested in adopting Agnes, please contact:Jessica Cooper, email: jncooper892@gmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 5, 2026, 8:53 pm
