Story
Meet Bella — your calm, cozy, snuggle-loving best friend 🤍🐾 Bella is a 4-year-old sweetheart with the gentlest soul and the silliest little personality. She’s the kind of dog who brings a peaceful, comforting energy into your home… and then makes you smile with her adorable blanket “nesting” habits (seriously—she LOVES making herself a cozy little spot 😂). Bella is housebroken and crate trained, and she settles beautifully—especially at night. Once she’s comfy, she sleeps like a dream and won’t budge! She’s also wonderful on a leash, walking calmly by your side, and already knows “sit” and “stay.” This girl is all about the simple joys: soft blankets, quiet moments, and being close to her person. She LOVES to snuggle and will happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. Her gentle nature makes her such an easy, comforting companion. Bella gets along well with other dogs, especially ones that match her calm vibe. High-energy small dogs aren’t really her thing, but she does great with respectful, easygoing companions.

Six of his siblings have found furever homes, but he and his brother, Muttley, are still searching. He is a resilient and brave dog, having had a scar on his back and an umbilical hernia as a pup, which have both been corrected and proven no further complications. Scrappy loves to run, play, and explore, and would be a good companion for hiking trips and other outdoor activities. He is very food motivated (and prefers to eat alone) and could use some obedience/leash training paired with regular play time and exercise. He enjoys making friends with humans and dogs alike and would make a wonderful dog for an active family. Story
If you’re looking for a dog who brings joy everywhere he goes, look no further. This 3‑year‑old charmer is house‑trained, respectful in the home, and loves his toys like they’re treasures. His favorite thing in the world is people—he lights up when he has company. He’s still polishing his leash skills, but he’s a smart boy who’s already making progress. Since he’s strong and sometimes jumps when excited, he’d be happiest in a home without small children. He hasn’t shown much interest in other dogs—he’s the type who minds his own business on walks and doesn’t react to neighbor dogs—so he may do well with slow, thoughtful introductions. He’s playful, affectionate, and ready for someone who will enjoy his big heart and fun personality.

Story
Meet Odie — your goofy, lovable shadow in the making 🧡🐾 Odie is a little over a year old and still very much a BIG puppy at heart! Think of Odie — sweet, a little clumsy, full of love, and always ready for attention. That’s our boy. He’s housebroken, crate trained, and absolutely thrives on human connection. Odie LOVES being around his people—whether that’s soaking up pets, tagging along on walks, or just quietly watching the world go by at the park (one of his favorite hobbies 🐶👀). Odie is still learning his manners and will need gentle reminders not to jump when he gets excited. He does best on a harness (he’s a bit of an escape artist with collars!) and is continuing to build confidence with leash walking. At his core, Odie is a sensitive, shy soul. New things can feel a little scary—sometimes even his own shadow! He’ll need a patient, understanding home that will help him grow at his own pace. Thunderstorms are especially tough for him, and he’ll look to you for comfort—usually tucked safely behind you or curled into his bed.

Six of his siblings have been adopted, but he and his brother, Scrappy, are still looking for furever homes! He is a playful and curious pal with very adoring eyes and loves everyone that he meets. While he prefers to dine alone at a table for one, he loves playing with other pups and would enjoy a canine sibling. Muttley wants to be your next best friend to take EVERYWHERE, whether it be Petsmart, family gatherings, or a day out in nature. He would best suit a home with a fenced-in yard and someone willing to continue his training.   Would you consider making him a new member of your household? Rosie is a great family dog. She loves to chill but also loves to play also.   She has minor issue with personal space but thats cause she wants constant attention. She's a cuddle bug. Loves kids and people.  She is ok with cats.  She loves treats and giving paw. She is a Licker. Lots of kisses. House train and semi crate trained but does have accidents very rarely. She good with leash/ harness  Her ideal place would have a fenced in yard so she Can run freely but have access to inside to relax.

🐾 Meet Diesel – Your Dreamy, Loyal Sidekick 🐾 Hey there! I’m Diesel — a handsome 2-year-old, 67 lb pittie mix with soulful eyes (they call me Dreamy for a reason 🧡). I’ve got the looks and the heart to match. I’ve worked so hard to be my best self—I just need someone to give me a chance to shine 🌟 ✔️ Neutered ✔️ House & crate trained ✔️ Smart + eager to learn ✔️ Toy & treat motivated ✔️ Extremely loving I’m a big, strong boy with an even bigger heart. I love my people and form deep bonds quickly. Underneath it all? I’m a total cuddle bug who thinks I’m a lap dog 😄 Personal space? Never heard of it. Snacks? Definitely for me—especially pup cups and cheese 🧀 My perfect home: 🏡 Only pet (I want you all to myself!) 🏡 No cats 🏡 Older kids or adults (I get excited!) 🏡 Someone who can give me structure, consistency, and continued training I’m not “too much”—I just need the right person who will give me the stability and love every dog deserves. 💛 I’m sweet, I’m fun, and I’m ready to love you BIG. 💛

NOTE- ISABELLE IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW Valley View Animal Rescue  email: amybennettwashburn@hotmail.com Phone: (540) 862-1756Isabelle is our oldest rescue and has been waiting for a home since 5/20/2025. In puppyhood, she was transferred into our care from another shelter and was adopted quite early. She was returned as a 1 year old, and after months of waiting, was adopted out again. In her last home, she served as protector of her female owner while her male owner was away on business, and got lots of TLC and training. While she was such a good girl at that home, her owners went through a divorce, and she was returned back to us last May at no fault of her own. Isabelle misses having a big yard to play in and a family to snuggle. She is a very good girl with manners and obedience and while she is near and dear to our hearts, the kennel life is not what's best for her. She would do best in a home with older children as she does not like her belly or booty touched (unless she gets booty scratches- she LOVES those), and does well with young, submissive canine companions (or as an only dog). She would benefit from a large yard to run in as she has loads of energy. We recommend a fenced in yard or a training collar, as that is what her previous owner used. Isabelle loves all people, but is especially a girl's girl. Story
Meet Ariel! At just 1 year old, Ariel is a big-hearted girl with an even bigger personality! This sweet Pit Bull mix came to us as a stray, so her past is a mystery, but one thing is crystal clear—Ariel absolutely loves people. Everyone she meets is a potential new best friend, and she`s always ready to soak up as much attention and affection as possible.Ariel is still very much a puppy at heart. She has lots of energy, excitement, and enthusiasm for life, which means she`ll thrive with a family committed to continuing her training and helping her learn good manners. In return, you`ll get a fun-loving, loyal companion who is always ready for her next adventure. So far, Ariel`s favorite things include long walks, peanut butter-filled treats, Kong toys, and curling up next to her favorite people on the couch after a day of fun. She`s happiest when she`s included in the action and spending time with those she loves.Because Ariel came to us as a stray, her history is largely unknown. Her compatibility with cats, dogs, and children has not yet been determined, so any introductions to resident pets or children should be done thoughtfully and at a pace that sets everyone up for success. If you`re looking for a sweet, affectionate, playful dog who will keep you smiling, keep you active, and reward you with endless love, Ariel may be the perfect addition to your family. Come meet this happy girl and see if she`s the missing piece you`ve been looking for!61 lbsIf you are interested in meeting Ariel, please visit the shelter during open adoption hours:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 10 AM–12:30 PM & 2 PM–4 PMThursday: 10 AM–12:30 PM & 2 PM–6:30 PMSaturday: 9 AM–1 PMIf you do not own your home, please bring written consent from the property owner allowing a dog on the property.
