Story
Meet Macy, An energetic and silly pup with a big personality and wet kisses. We believe she is about 2.5 years old and a full-bred boxer with uncropped ears and tail. She loves to play and is always up for a game of fetch or tug. She loves to run but always comes back to be side by side with her people. This clever girl is food-motivated and eager to please. After a day full of play, you'll probably find her napping happily near a window, soaking up some sun. Macy suffers from FOMO (fear of missing out) as she always wants to see what her people are doing. She has never been around cats but has done well with most dogs. Her high energy may not be best for extremely young children and she would prefer to be in an active home where she won't get lonely.

Story
Meet Rose. She is a petite 40lb, 2 year old. Rose started her life in Tennessee being bred, only to be turned in and finding she had heartworms. She now starts her new life in PA as a heartworm survivor, spayed, and ready to find a place to call home. More info on her as we get to know her. What I can tell you now is that she likes to cuddle and give kisses, she sits for treats, and is people friendly. We believe she is dog friendly as well but it will take slow introductions. We are guessing she has boxer in her and possibly some staffy. Whatever she is, Rose sure is a cutie pie! Rose is currently being fostered in Littlestown, PA Pa LIC #17216 https://forms.gle/LDjduj2zTk7vvmHU7

Story
I’m called Lil’ Dude, but my foster mom likes to call me Iggy, short for Igor. I guess it’s because of my adorable smile. What makes me smile? Cuddling! I love snuggling with my foster mom. She calls me a big giant baby. Ooo, and cheese. Cheese always makes me smile! I’m learning a lot from my foster big sister - I can now sit, come, go bedtime, and sometimes even stay! I’m even 95% potty trained - I can stay home for 5 - 6 hrs without having an accident, but if I can’t hold it, I know how to use a pee pad. My foster uncle says I’ve come a long way and would be the perfect dog for someone who can keep helping me with my manners. Oh, and if they have a fenced-in yard where I can jump and smell?! That would be doggie heaven! I might be open to a new friend, if you have someone you`d like me to meet. I can`t promise we will be best buddies but I would be open to meeting a friend and we can go from there. Check out a video of Lil Dude here: https://youtu.be/zJKJxe1YA0sInterested in adopting me? I am in a foster home so things need to be done a little differently. We recommend submitting a general online adoption application and then calling the shelter to let them know you are interested in meeting me!. Please note: all applications are considered general until the animal has been met. If you have any questions, please contact animalcenter@bmorehumane.org or 410-833-8848 Ext/Opt 2.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Steel arrived at the shelter as a fearful stray, but with time, patience, and kindness, he has truly blossomed into a fun-loving, affectionate companion. Once he trusts you, Steel’s favorite things in the world are cuddling close and giving enthusiastic kisses! This smart boy already knows how to sit and shake your hand, and his sharp mind means he’s primed to learn so much more. Steel’s absolute favorite toy is a ball—toss it, and he transforms into a joyful, goofy pup in seconds. Because he can still be fearful and has a rough play style, Steel would do best in a home without young children. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving dog with tons of potential and an even bigger heart, Steel is ready to meet his person. If you are interested in meeting Steel, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12:30p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12:30p & 2p-6:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Adoption application can be filled out and approved during your meet-and-greet. If you have another dog in the home, plan to bring them for a meet before you complete the adoption!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- DIAMOND IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION. PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.CONTACT DEE AT k9rescueva@gmail.comDiamond is a beautiful, sweet, and affectionate blue pittie girl.  She is the SWEETEST thing. She seems to be a very low key lady. She is often catching a snooze in her bed. When briefly in foster she was a couch potato and did well with crate training! She does prefer to be the only pup in your life. She LOVES a good belly rub and butt scratch. Diamond gives kisses and will 'paw' you if you stop petting, she loves to lean against you for her scratches.Diamond now weighs about 70 lbs.  Diamond is quiet and reserved, and will bond quickly with her humans.  Diamond is dog-reactive and defensive when meeting other dogs, and shows a high prey drive for small fuzzy animals (cats, squirrels, possums, etc.);  she should not live with other pets.  Diamond is a big girl, and pulls strongly on her leash, she needs obedience and leash training.  She cannot go to dog parks, and must be handled carefully on walks where she may encounter other animals.  She's not actively aggressive, but will not back down if another dog acts aggressive towards her.  She would thrive in a home with a fenced in yard.  She just needs a home where she can focus on her people, and just give them all her love for years to come.  Diamond needs an experienced bully owner who understands the breed, and is willing to work with her.  IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING DIAMOND, PLEASE CONTACT: DEE AT k9rescueva@gmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 22, 2025, 1:22 am

Story
Meet Ham, the 4-year-old bully mix who’s every bit as charming as his name suggests! With a huge, blocky head and a goofy, lovable personality, Ham is the kind of dog who can brighten any room just by trotting into it.Full of strength, energy, and enthusiasm, Ham would thrive in an active home where he can get plenty of playtime, adventures, and exercise. He’s a smart boy, too—he already knows “sit,” “lay down,” and “drop it”—and he’s always eager to show off his skills in exchange for a treat. Toys are his love language, and he never turns down a good game or a new squeaky friend.Ham’s big body and big personality mean he’ll do best in a home without smaller children, where he can enjoy life with adults or older kids who understand his playful power. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly companion with tons of love (and muscle!) to give, Ham is your guy.If you are interested in meeting Ham, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12:30p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12:30p & 2p-6:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Adoption application can be filled out and approved during your meet-and-greet. If you have another dog in the home, plan to bring them for a meet before you complete the adoption!
