Story
Meet Duke (aka Sir Duke) 🐾👑 Duke is a 7-year-old Boxer mix with the heart of a true gentleman. Affectionately nicknamed “Sir Duke” by his foster family, this handsome boy is finally coming out of his shell — and what’s inside is pure gold. Duke is calm, cuddly, and happiest when he’s close to his people. The closer he is to you, the more content he feels. He’ll happily sit for hours soaking up pets if you’ve got the time. Loyal and trusting, he bonds quickly and just wants a family to call his own. He’s currently fostered with two other dogs and has blended beautifully into the pack. He’s gentle, easygoing, and has shown no signs of aggression. Loud household noises — even construction sounds like saws and nail guns — don’t faze him one bit. He has a deep, booming bark that sounds impressive at the door, but inside he’s nothing but soft and sweet. Duke is now housebroken and continuing to polish his manners. He’s learned “come,” is working on “sit,” and is very food motivated — which makes training a breeze. He takes treats with the softest mouth and will politely sit back if food is dropped in the kitchen (even if his foster siblings beat him to it!). Duke does enjoy exploring, so a secure wooden fence is important, as he can climb chain link. He will go into a metal crate if needed, but it’s clear they may remind him of a difficult past. Despite whatever hardships he’s endured, Duke remains one of the sweetest, kindest, most gentle dogs his foster has ever met. He’s proof that resilience and love can shine through anything. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a calm spirit, a loving heart, and the soul of a survivor, Duke is ready to be your devoted best friend. 💛🐶 a rough life.

Story
Matilda is a sweet soul! She is definitely laid back. She was in a local shelter long-term and through many foster home placements, we learned she really needs a home without other dogs. That makes it SO hard for a dog like her. Besides that, she's an angel. Her sleepover home mom said she loved to follow her around the house and really enjoys bathing in the sun. Could you be the perfect laid back match for Matilda? Contact us to learn more about this special dog! Local & Nationwide Adoptions Welcome Local adopters are always welcome and encouraged!
