Dori thinks she must be on Santa's naughty list, since no one has wanted to adopt her this whole year! She is the sweetest, silliest girl who will tell you all about it when you get home by woo-wooing at you! Dori loves to go for walks and snuggle on the couch with you. She is a boxer mix, spayed, utd on shots and chipped. Dori is probably almost 3yo now and is VERY ready for her furever home. Dori loves to run around the backyard and be chased by another dog her size or bigger. She should NOT live in a home with small prey-type animals, including cats. Dori has had 2 litters of pups and was a great mama. She can be reactive to other dogs while on leash, but I feel like it's due to excitement. However, obviously any introduction should be slow and on neutral territory. Dori is such a wonderful dog who deserves to have her first (of many), best Christmas of her life. Lucy is a 7 year old, deeply loving, gentle‑souled dog who wants nothing more than to curl up beside someone and be their cozy little shadow. She’s happiest snuggled on the couch, soaking up affection, and being close to her people. She is fully potty trained, and crate trained — though she does best when her crate is in a common area where she can still feel connected. She knows “sit” and “down,” is working on “stay,” and walks well on a leash, though she can pull at times. But Lucy also has some behavioral challenges that we haven’t been able to give her the right environment to work through. She can be reactive and aggressive toward other dogs, and she becomes assertive or nervous around unfamiliar people. She has never bitten, but she has nipped when she feels overwhelmed or unsure. Because of this, Lucy needs a very specific kind of home — one without other animals or children, and with someone who understands reactive behavior or is willing to learn and work patiently with her.
