Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. NEW RESCUE! Hi! I’m Nova Scotia! I’m a one-year-old boxer mix (my foster family thinks I might also have some German shepherd and pitbull in me). I’m on the lookout for my forever family, and I think you should know—I’m kind of the whole package! I live with five other dogs right now, and I get along with all of them. I’m playful and love a good romp, but I’m also respectful and know when another pup doesn’t want to play. I’m great with kids too, so I’d fit right in with a fun, busy household. I’m house trained and love using my doggy door. I’m also crate trained and feel extra safe enjoying my meals in my crate. I’ve got plenty of energy and would be happiest with someone who takes me on daily adventures. I’m super smart, eager to please, and treat-motivated—so I’d be a dream dog for anyone who likes to teach tricks or maybe even try out dog sports. Even though I’m athletic, I’m also a total cuddlebug. I love being near my people and being part of whatever they’re doing. At the end of the day, nothing makes me happier than curling up with you for some snuggles. So…what do you say? Do you have room in your heart (and on your couch) for me? Story
LION – Male Boxer | 2 Years Old - DOB 11/25/2023 |    50 lbs | Healthy, Vaccinated & Neutered Introducing Lion, the sweetest big-hearted Boxer boy you’ll ever meet! At 2 years old, Lion has that perfect blend of Boxer goofiness and soulful loyalty. He’s playful, affectionate, expressive, and absolutely loves being near his humans. Lion is the type of dog who wiggles when he’s happy, leans in for cuddles, and charms everyone he meets with his warm, gentle nature. Breed Info: Boxers are known for their intelligence, athleticism, and famously silly personalities. They are deeply loyal, people-oriented, and incredibly loving companions. Boxers thrive on interaction, bonding, and being included in family life. Lion reflects the best of his breed — goofy, devoted, and full of heart. Owner Responsibilities: To help Lion thrive, he’ll need: Daily exercise (walks, play, and engagement) Structure, training, and positive reinforcement Plenty of affection and time with his family A safe, stable home where he won’t be left alone too long Give him routine, purpose, and love — and Lion will give you devotion for life. Things to Consider Before Adopting Lion: Are you ready for a medium-energy, highly social dog? Do you have the time and stability for daily exercise and bonding? Is your home and landlord dog-friendly? Are you prepared to commit to a dog for the next 10+ years? Are you ready for a dog who wants to be included as part of the family, always? Dogs are forever — not until convenient. Vet Care: Lion is healthy, vaccinated, and neutered. Please take him to your own vet shortly after adoption to set up ongoing care and ensure his continued well-being. The 3-3-3 Rule & Lifelong Commitment: First 3 days: He decompresses and starts to feel safe. First 3 weeks: Lion learns your routine, expectations, and begins trusting fully. First 3 months: He bonds deeply, understanding he is truly home at last. Adoption is forever — and Lion is ready to give his heart unconditionally. Why Lion Would Be a Great Addition: Lion is a loyal, affectionate, and joy-filled companion who will bring warmth and love into any home. His expressive Boxer charm, playful energy, and gentle nature make him the kind of dog who forms bonds that last a lifetime. He’ll make you laugh, comfort you on hard days, and love you with everything he has. He’s not just a dog — he’s family. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. Story
Nala is a 5-year-old boxer whose entire mission is to love her person with her whole wiggly heart. She greets you with full-body tail wags, leans into your legs, and curls up beside you— or on top of you! She has the goofy boxer charm — dramatic butt wiggles, crooked sits, paw “talking,” playful twirls, and joyful laser-pointer zoomies — plus a tender, sensitive side. Nala loves closeness, human touch, and being someone’s emotional companion. She’s a true Velcro dog who will quietly comfort you when you’re upset. Nala is past the wild puppy phase and is house-trained, crate-trained, sleeps well, and is stable and playful. She thrives as the only dog and does best with a calm, quieter lifestyle and a person who values connection over crowds. She has made progress with training (including K9 Lifeline) and will do best with someone who understands her world should expand slowly and without pressure. She doesn’t need a busy life — just a loving home where she can belong.

Story
Meet Sockhop! The cutest kid in town with the best playful energy! He’s a growing boy and is motivated to learn all of the things! He is getting trained in his foster home to be the bestest friend ever! Did someone say crate trained?? Oh yeah! He is a stylish guy with socks on all 4 feet and rocks a bandana like no other! He is full of love and ready for his future family to find him! We believe Sockhop is a boxer mix around 6 months old and weighs approximately 35 pounds. He still has some room to grow and is sporting the best lanky limbs in this phase! Due to him being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. But what we can’t guarantee in genetics, we can guarantee in love! This boy loved to be around every single person he met while he was visiting us and every single person loved to be around him! Check out Sockhop here: https://youtu.be/771PR4bKdB8 Sockhop is fortunate enough to be fostered in a home setting which is awesome! This is a great source of enrichment as he waits for his forever family. It provides structure and a sort of example of what it is like to live in a home when he gets adopted! It’s obvious he is comfortable being around dogs because he effortlessly meshed with all of the new friends we introduced him to when he was with us! He met a couple of friends with various temperaments out in the yard and was ready to play with all of them! He tended to hang around the dogs with higher energies over the more docile friends! He is definitely a guy that wants to be where the party's at! He would do well in a home with another medium energy pup that can bring the fun and run but also settle down and chill as well! Sockhop is definitely a bundle of fun and wants everyone around him to know it! He wants even his feline friends to know what it’s like to play and run! Due to his joy and love for an exciting play life, Sockhop will do best in a home that doesn’t have any cats. We want to make sure that every animal in the home appreciates the love that Sockhop gives! He has that puppy heart that wants to show affection to anyone who is willing to receive it! We believe that he would do well with older children who know how to properly enrich and handle a bouncing puppy boy! He would also do best in a home with a yard over an apartment so that he could get his zoomies out! What I loved about Sockhop is how easily he settled down once we came inside. He didn’t try to continue being a ball of energy. He showed me that he knows how to balance his excitement and even offered to lay down on the couch with me. He was showing off his “sit” and “lay” and made it apparent that he will be the one to get an A+ in puppy training school. He would be a great guy to take out on adventures because of how trainable he is! He is young and full of life and will be a great addition to his future family! Does Sockhop sound like your guy? Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
