Story
Julia is one of the larger puppies in this litter, and possibly has the biggest heart. You can tell that this gentle, sweet soul will grow into a good size – she will be perfect for all sorts of adventures with you and have no problems keeping up. Gentle Julia is surprisingly delicate for her size; she’s actually quite deliberately dainty, and we love just watching her romp and play. Julia watches everything closely, and is quite playful and social. She adores a good belly rub and will catch your eye and roll over, just in case you were thinking about giving her one. (You definitely will – she’s irresistible!) Julia is mostly light brown and white, with dark ‘eyebrows’ that allow her to give you the most plaintive looks (here’s where the begging for belly rubs really kicks in). Her body is brown with white accents – all four legs have adorable knee-high white ‘boots’. Her tail is brown, except for the very tip, which is a white blur because this happy girl is always wagging her tail. Julia has a thick white stripe on her head blending into a white snout, neck, and belly. If you can resist her cheerful attitude and the cute little freckles on her belly, you are stronger-willed than us! You are sure to be entertained by all of Julia’s classic puppy antics. She loves to jump, roll, and play with all eight (8!) of her siblings and would do well in a house with other dogs, or as the sole star of your attention. This litter was born in care, and Julia is one of the six girls of this litter (that also has three boys). Julia is currently just 3 months old and 16 pounds, and we think she may be a Black Mouth Cur/Boxer mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place. Julia is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Story
Sweet, sweet Selma, the girl who loves everyone with enthusiasm, is ready for her forever home. Just look into those big brown eyes and your heart will be mush. With this cutie around, you will never feel lonely because she will want to be with you every chance she gets. We estimate Selma is about 1 year old and possibly a Boxer and Shepherd mix, but with rescue that’s just our best guess. She currently weighs around 50 lbs but her weight is still balancing back out after having puppies. She has been a wonderful mom to her sweet babies, but now she’s ready to enjoy the empty nest. As long as that nest doesn’t have any felines, Selma says “no thank you!”. She does well in a crate and has done great with her potty training since day one. A social butterfly through and through, she’s never met a human she doesn’t like. Yelling, crying, rambunctious kids? No problem! She has so much love and compassion for people. When she is on a walk and sees a friend, she wiggles her body and gently heads their way to say hello. She then nuzzles her head into your arms and you can’t resist petting her soft fur. In our rowdy barn Selma offers a calming personality and helps keep the energy down for our boarding dogs. She’s new to playing and hanging out with dogs but she’s starting to get the hang of it. She would do well with a dog that has a calm or gentle play style like her. Just like a boxer she uses her front paws and does that cute boxer play. Selma was found as a pregnant stray. While she was in our nursery barn tending to her babies she enjoyed when staff came to spend time with her. She loved her daily bully stick and would carry it to one of the behavioral staff to hold for her. She’s starting to get the hang of being a home pup and taking treats gently is a new trick she’s proudly learning. But she would also like to learn how to cook in the kitchen with you so make sure your cookies are in their jars. She’s a dream on a leash, she’ll be great to take on walks. Enjoying the flowers and the fresh air are her favorite parts of her stroll. Selma is silly and is waiting to go to her forever home. Currently fostered in Texas, she is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to travel to their forever home in the PNW or NE areas. Story
Sadie is an absolute lady with a love of squeaky stuffies, tennis balls, and people! This amazing girl stole all our hearts with her ease and smiling face, we hope she reaches yours too! In rescue age and breed are details about a dog we can never know with 100% confidence but we believe Sadie is a boxer/lab mix and possibly 4-5 years old, weighing 40 lbs. Her face gives off an older look than her physical health and energy level show. Those details don’t speak to who Sadie is at her core though, this is a dog that only sees the goodness and reflects it right back. Everyone who met her commented that she “made my day” or “her happiness is contagious!” It was hard not be overwhelmed with a smile for seemingly no reason at all, no silly tricks or attention getters, just her company. She is something really special in this world and we can't even imagine how much more she will shine once she finds her forever family. Sadie’s easy-going nature can be seen in all her interactions- with other dogs she was friendly and content in their company, and with our house cat she was perfectly respectful. An ideal home for Sadie is one where napping is encouraged and dog-toys will be purchased. For a canine companion, Sadie would love an easy-going partner-in-chill and cats are welcome! Thanks to her calm and quiet nature, and size, Sadie would be a great fit for the apartment life or a house with a yard. All we think she absolutely needs is a family of her own and a home where she is loved! Sadie does have a mild case of dry eye in one of her eyes, which is eased with daily drops, and six-month supply is included in her adoption. Sadie is available for adoption now! The sooner you get her home the sooner the love can start flowing! The best days of Sadie’s life are ahead of her and she can’t wait to spend them with you! If you have any questions about Sadie or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
**Fostered in Hillsboro, OR and ready for meet & greets** *Find more photos and videos on Instagram @PDX_Adoptables* In typical bulldog fashion, Misty Grace is the center of attention. She greets everyone as if they are her BFF! She’s silly, sweet, affectionate, and adora-bull! You don’t want to miss adding this precious girl to your family. Misty is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She is happiest when getting love and attention! She loves to nuzzle you with her face, lean into your body, and get ALL the love! She doesn't give a lot of kisses, preferring to just nuzzle you instead. She is a chill girl who would prefer a nice TV binge watching session over a 2 mile run. You may need to turn up the volume to cover up the sounds of her snoring though. She truly enjoys being with people more than anything and will happily follow you around the house. Pretty easy on a leash, she’s curious but doesn’t pull too hard. She will enjoy those neighborhood strolls with you. She's great in the car too, making her an excellent companion for errands, road trips, and adventures. She is the kind of girl you could easily take on walks, or go to dog-friendly hang-outs, pet stores, Home Depot, etc. She will just soak up all the attention and munch all the treats. Already crate trained and potty trained, the hard work is already done. She has learned "sit" and is working on learning more in her loving foster home. She is friendly with her doggy pals and likes to run around and play, but doesn’t play too rough. She even ignored the cat during her cat test. Misty is great with kids too. She loves to nuzzle them and follow them around. She is gentle and doesn't jump up on them either. She is currently living with a 4 year old and a 14 year old and does great with both. We estimate Misty is about 3 years old and she may be an English Bulldog and Boxer mix, but of course it’s just a guess with rescue. She currently weighs 48 lbs so she’s a perfect medium size for couch cuddling! Misty is an easy addition to just about any home. She’s lower energy so she could easily live in an apartment/condo. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for her forever home. Don’t miss out on your chance to add this little ham to your family! Apply at the link below! Our dogs travel in style in our transport vehicle, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. Local adoption in Texas is also available. The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2-6 months of heartworm preventative according to age, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with a free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby, you also receive many other additional perks such as a • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program, prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! Story
Kobe turned 4 in November of 2023. He is my oldest daughter's dog that I have been solely taking care of for a few years now. I am a single mom still supporting my 3 adult kids and their dogs, on a single income, as well as paying for rehab for 2 of my kids. I just cannot afford the cost and care of everything by myself anymore. We love Kobe - so much - but he deserves a home where he can get proper care. He is very sweet, and goofy, and cuddly, and is a great listener. However, he would be best as an only pet. He does not get along with other animals. He has not had any formal trining - we have just done the best we can on our own. He loves toys. His very favorite thing in the whole world is his ball - and will fetch and bring it back to you for as long as you're willing to throw. He takes his ball everywhere he goes. He loves his people and is incredibly sensitive to your emotions. If he senses any kind of sadness or distress, he will immediately come and sit with you.
