Rocky is a male 2.5 yrs old 60 lb Boxer/Retriever mix. He is last one in litter and is the BEST family dog ever!!!!!!   He is an energetic, affectionate lad that likes other dogs and pups.  He is a great companion for an active family with a secure fence, children over 6 years of age and another dog. Large breed experience is recommended.  He is an indoor dog.  He likes walks, car rides, toys, dog beds, human beds/couches.       L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with  rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. He’s playful and fun, but overall a pretty calm, chill guy who simply enjoys being around his people. ​  If Louie were human, he’d absolutely be the class clown - the one making everyone laugh while still being the friend you can count on. He’s a happy dog who loves attention, leans in for affection, and is known to give the sweetest hugs (especially to his foster dad, who he absolutely adores). Butt scratches are also very high on his list of favorite things. ​ Louie is social and enjoys meeting people. He’s well-mannered in public, does great on walks, and has even impressed everyone during trips to the pet store where he happily sniffs all the toys. He knows commands like sit and leave it, rides well in the car once he settles in, and was a total gentleman at the vets’ office where the staff loved him. ​ But the best part of Louie’s story might be his special friendships he forms with other dogs that come through his foster home. He seems to take comfort and give comfort in their presence and would absolutely love to have some canine friends in his new life. Louie may do best in a home without small animals or with someone able to manage, correct, and redirect some hard focus behaviors. He'd mostly love a family that appreciates a loyal, affectionate dog with a playful streak. Maisy is a wonderful dog. She’s an amazing walker, does great with kids, other dogs, and cats. She is happy going out on long walks and playing in water, but is also always ready to snuggle on the couch. We would love to keep her but we have a senior dog who regardless of all our efforts, is not acclimating well to her. For her safety we have to keep her separated from the senior and I feel she deserves more attention than we can give right now.

Rosie has lots of love to give! She loves to play and be goofy. She loves people and other dogs, and is always looking to make a new friend. We have worked on positive-reinforcement based training throughout our daily routine since I adopted her 2.5 years ago. She has made great progress with leash walking, impulse control, engage/disengage, and boundaries. She loves training games and I am so proud of how far she has come in our time together! Rosie has a very high prey drive triggered by squirrels. She would not be able to live with cats. She also needs lots of engagement/mental stimulation, so will need a home where she can keep her happy with play time, training/games, and exercise. She is on anti-anxiety medicine and has allergies, which she also takes seasonal medication for. Sadly, I no longer am able to meet her needs with my work schedule and life changes. I used to be able to modify my day to support her but that is no longer possible. I live alone in an apart
