Story
Lucy will cuddle with you all day on the couch or go hiking for miles. She's a sweet girl who needs someone who can focus on her as she ages. In July '23, she had surgery to have her anal glands removed after years of complications with scooting and licking. This relieved much of her discomfort, but she still has minor seasonal allergies and a bit of anxiety. With busy work schedules, frequent out of town trips, a growing family, and an upcoming move this summer, we do not feel like we are giving her the attention and focus she deserves. She gets along well with other dogs and cats and we prefer that she goes to a home with other pets. She does best with children who are older and understand that she likes her space, but we have had no problems with Lucy and our toddler. Lucy needs a loving home who has time and desire to care for a dog in her senior years. She has lots of life left in her! Please reach out with any questions we can answer.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. SCOOBY is a big boy...at least 65#. His estimated DOB is 1/5/2020...so he is almost 4 yrs old. He is a very FUN dog and loves playing with other dogs but he is exuberant and easily intimidates smaller dogs. He would be a great companion dog for a large breed dog. He loves everyone and just wants to play. He has not had in-house training...in a shelter with lots of dogs, the big ones don't necessarily get the royal treatment. He has been leash trained and loves to go on walks. After he get rid of the initial excitement about going out, he walks gently on the leash. I do not trust him with a cat. If it runs, he will chase. He sees them as lots of fun. Scooby would be great with a family with older children. Smaller ones would probably get knocked down during playtime. He needs a home with large back yard, I would not recommend him for an apartment. Check out our YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/KD9BUCFmQCs This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. HICKORY cute 3 mo old puppy, DOB 2/8/24. He is expected to get up to about 45-55# when grown. This litter literally had at least 2 daddies...the 2 brown pups are probably hound/Lab mix (both girls). The two brindles could have some boxer (both boys). The Red Heeler mix (boy) is not from this litter...but came in at the same time. The Red Heeler is about 2 mos older than the rest. He is probably Heeler/Beagle mix. (See his individual advertisement with the name of LINUS.) These pups were found in a water culvert after a good rain. The lady that found them had her hands full with so many pups. They were in great need for all the medical… deworming, de-fleeing, and de-ticking. Of course, we also did the vaccinations. It took about a week of good food and they were looking 100% better…running and playing and barking at the top of their lungs. It was such a wonderful sound. They love to play with toys and people. They will make such great family dogs. Check out our YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/_LLCPjJQ9-I This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Google is your typical high energy boxer mix. He loves to walk and play in the yard. His ideal home would be with an active individual, couple, or family. He is very smart and loving. He is best in an only dog household. He is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Give Google a home and he can be transported to you. ##1549887##

Story
Ziggy is an older distiguished gentledog. He loves to be a couch potato. He does love going for a walk. He is always happy to see people and give them his paw. He follows commands and is crate trained. His nickname is "Tiger" because of his coat. He is very loving to people and selective to other dogs. Proper introduction is always a must. He wouldn't be ideal with a house that has small children. He is always eager to please. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He would love to travel anywhere in the US or Canada. ##1545628##
