DOB: 5/1/2021 Weight: 55 Pounds Energy level: Moderate Overall drive: Moderate Location: Santa Clarita, CA Louie is a fun-loving, typical middle-aged boxer who enjoys some solid play time during the day! He is super excited to go on walks and hikes and shows zero dog reactivity, and he also enjoys meeting new people. Sounds like quite the catch! If Louie had a human job, his foster thinks that he would make the perfect class clown in any educational setting. He is always doing something that will make you laugh. I don’t think anyone has ever seen a serious boxer dog, and if they did, we can make 100% certain it was not Louie! To him, the world is a giant playground, and he is the main character; expect nothing less than super dog energy and enthusiasm for life with this fella. #JustPositiveVibesOnly Louie does ok during car rides; they can make him nervous, but he usually calms down and just takes a nap for the duration of the ride. During his visit to the vet’s office, they loved him, and he showered them with the typical boxer kisses and drool. He was not super stoked after his neuter, but they gave him some good meds, so he doesn’t remember much of it. #TheyTookMahBeans Not only does Louie show zero issues with similarly sized other dogs, he also does not show any signs of food aggression either, which is always a plus with a foster dog coming from an unknown background. During Louie’s time in foster care, he has mastered Sit, Stay (ish), and Leave It commands. He is still working on some manners such as Down and Leave It. During training sessions, he loves food, so food is the key to this man’s heart, much like the rest of us as well. He is not destructive in the house, but he is still working on “marking,” as he is just trying to let everyone know that the entire inside of the home is his territory. If he is doing something that is not allowed in the home, usually a firm verbal correction is all that is needed for him to stop said action. Outside the home, he wants to play with the local horses (must think they are large dogs as well), can be somewhat pushy with small dogs, and has an affinity for pursuing cats. So, he is somewhat of a work in progress, much like the rest of society at this point. Louie is looking for his forever home that more than likely should not contain small animals or children, as his exuberant play style can be a little much for the little ones, both 2 and 4 legged. He would be a great dog for a single person or a couple that is looking for an outdoor adventure partner who is the world's largest love sponge. So, if you are looking for a dog like Louie, guess what, he is looking for you as well!

Story

Tito is a 5 year old pure bred boxer. He has champion blood line but was the runt of his liter so he’s on the smaller side for a boxer. He’s got plenty of energy and loves to play with all sorts of balls. He does amazing with kids and is house trained. He pulls when he’s on a leash but nothing crazy. When he initially meets other dogs he can seem aggressive but once they’ve been introduced he does great. He is up to date on all his shots but he is not neutered. We tried getting him neutered a few months ago but the vet said his liver levels were slightly high so they didn’t feel comfortable doing it at this point. He also has some skin allergies. I haven’t been able to figure out what he’s allergic to but allergy shots do help. We just had a baby that has some health stuff so we’ve been in the hospital nonstop. Poor buddy isn’t getting the love he needs. Looking for a loving home that will give him attention, has a yard, and will give this dude the attentions he deserves.

Lola was rescued from LA County in April and I had her transported to WA. I was hoping my older male dog would take to her as a companion but that’s just not the case. My male dog isn’t very nice to her and I’m afraid it will get worse the longer she’s here. She’s super sweet, good with my kids, calm, likes to lounge around. Loves a good walk and snacks. Does not like water at all. Listens well and really doesn’t have any special needs. She understands commands and listens. I don’t know much about her previous life prior to adopting her.
