After being found as a stray, he now gets to enjoy the things every puppy should have: a safe home, lots of love, playtime, and a family to call his own.Zuko is curious, friendly, and playful. He enjoys being around other dogs and is always ready for a little puppy adventure. Whether he is chasing a toy, wrestling with his puppy friends, or settling down for a nap, Zuko is sure to keep his family smiling.At this age, Zuko is still learning all of his puppy basics. His new family should be prepared to continue working on potty training, crate training, leash manners, basic obedience, and socialization. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, he will have everything he needs to grow into a happy and well-mannered adult dog.Zuko does well with other dogs and kids. His experience with cats is unknown, so careful introductions would be important if his new home has cats.Zuko made it safely to Wisconsin and is settling nicely into his foster home. He may have started life as a stray, but his future can be anything but uncertain. Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, that works too!Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable
