Story
In early March, a lovely calico cat appeared in the neighborhood. She was very sweet and friendly, right from the start. She was quite thin and was desperately hungry, so several neighbors began feeding her. In early April, two little kitten heads popped up from under our deck. Apparently, she had five kittens around the time she appeared in early March. Since then, we've fostered her, and her kittens indoors, and have placed almost all the kittens in their forever homes. Mama cat needs a loving, indoor home with no other pets (the reason we can't keep her). She may be more aggressive now because she's been protecting her kittens, so she may mellow soon with other animals. She's super affectionate and loving, and we absolutely adore her! Anyone would be lucky to adopt her!

Story
I found her abandoned. Was mere skin and bones at first. She is an inside cat. She constantly communicates. Greets you every morning and throughout the day. I've never seen her interact with dogs or other cats. Like most cats she needs someone to allow her to be a cat. She requires a cat lover. Someone who knows how cats behave. She definitely has anxiety issues. Uncrumpling plastic bags and pulling out aluminum foil makes her hide. Catnip spray helps her nerves. Doesn't like being held for more than a few minutes. Lays at/on your feet. Catnip spray helps her nerves. She's affectionate. Loves to lay inside boxes, doesn't like to be off the floor most of the time. I have to give her up because I don't want to take care of a her any longer. I must focus on self-care at this time.

Story
Please contact Dana (DanaCC4C@gmail.com), (925) 586-6408 for more information about this pet. Want to meet? [Fill out the Application], then email it to the contact in this bio. Coffee’s story starts with resilience. She was rescued on March 1st from a condo complex in Concord, along with her four babies, from a person who didn't bother to fix her cats, moved out and left them behind.  She’s a stunning calico with a playful, quirky personality. She’ll follow me around, chirp when she wants something, and then, just as suddenly, dart away from pets if she’s on the move. Coffee likes to visit the toy basket frequently and pick out new ones to toss in the air and play with. She’s quite content to play by herself with the toys! Although sometimes the other kitties joined in with her and she’s good with that too. She hangs out with me while I work from home, making biscuits in the cat bed on my desk before settling in for a nap nearby. While she can be a little skittish during busy moments, when she’s relaxed—curled up on a bed, perched in a cat tree, or held in your arms—she’s very content to be petted and happily purrs away. She settles into new homes and around new cats quickly, though she definitely prefers to be the alpha cat. She does best with easygoing cats who either let her be in charge or simply ignore her, like my 17-year-old cat does. More than anything, she loves having the run of the house and, once she’s comfortable, doesn’t enjoy being confined to a single room. She recently started sleeping at the foot of my bed, and naps in the cat trees in my room—especially the ones by the windows. She loves watching the bird feeder and will intensely chirp and twitch her tail while keeping an eye on the birds outside. Coffee is a fine-boned, petite kitty at about 8 1/2 pounds. She was likely born around June of last year, so she’s about a year old now and probably won’t grow much more. Meet her on Saturday 1-4pm (June 27) at the Pet Food Express in downtown Walnut Creek.  CC4C Sponsor: Dana, DanaCC4C@gmail.com, 925-586-6408 Foster: me, Walnut Creek DOB: June 2025Click here to watch a video of Coffee.June 23, 2026, 8:21 pm

Please contact Helen (hmdoughty3@gmail.com), (925) 588-4867 for more information about this pet. Want to meet? [Fill out the Application], then email it to the contact in this bio. Williamina is a striking polka-dotted calico, about 1 1/2 yrs old, with quite the rescue story. She was found waddling the streets heavily pregnant and gave birth to her kittens the very next day. Needless to say, she seemed incredibly relieved—and appreciative—to finally be safe indoors. Now that she’s finished raising her babies (all have been adopted!)-- it’s finally Williamina’s turn to be cared for. She’s ready for a forever home where she can relax, be spoiled, and enjoy life as someone’s beloved companion instead of a young mama struggling to survive outside. Williamina likes being in charge and would do best as the alpha cat of the household. She's content as an only-cat, or with another mellow cat as a roommate. Or a dog, she's living with two cattle dogs and does just fine with them.  Meet her at the Pet Food Express in downtown Walnut Creek (1388 S. California Blvd) on Saturdays 1-4pm. Story
🐾 Meet Birdie — Part Cat, Part Garden Supervisor, Part Expert Hunter 🐾 Birdie is a 5-year-old rescue cat with a big personality and a soft heart. Adopted from a pet adoption pop-up in Napa, she has spent her life around young children, dogs, and even puppies, making her wonderfully adaptable to a busy household. Birdie is the definition of independent. She enjoys her indoor-outdoor lifestyle: spending her nights patrolling the property, hunting moles and gophers like a pro, then coming inside to sleep the day away in a sunny spot. If you’re working in the garden, don’t be surprised if she follows along to supervise your efforts. She has a delightfully bossy demeanor and knows exactly what she wants, especially when food is involved. (Treats are the fastest way to her heart!) Birdie isn’t the type of cat who wants to be carried around, but she tolerates it with good grace. She takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once you’ve earned her trust, she’s incredibly affection

Story
We have two cats Frannie and Mabel, but this post is mostly about Mabel. She is social and loves being around people. She loves a good lap to sit on or bed to sleep on. She is very attached to my daughter and is always snuggling with her. She is currently an indoor and outdoor cats, but Mabel would be very happy to just be an indoor cat. We live in a busy home with three kids and a dog. The cats have let us know that they are stressed in our house and it is not the right place for them. We think that the dog is the main reason they are not happy in our house. In the last 6 months the cats have marked areas of our house mostly at night or when people are not around. They are 3 years old and this new behaviour coincide with our dog getting bigger. We have worked with several people and done MANY things to try to make the cats for relaxed in our home but unfortunately we believe they will be happier in a dog free home. They cats would be fine adopted together or separately.
