You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.rescued from Angleton shelterHi!  I'm a dilute calico - and I do mean dilute!  I'm not exactly feral - but not exactly friendly either - very skittish.  Unfortunately that makes me unadoptable because people would like to pet their cat once in a while.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 16, 2024, 8:36 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.rescued from neighborhoodHey there!  my name is DOT!!!   Know why?  Uhhh...I have an orange spot on my head!     I'm a little shy but sassy at the same time.    I  like humans but sometimes cats make me nervous...depending on the cat.  So, in those cases, I just hiss!   I did fine with the other cat I lived with, but when the humans gave us up, we got separated.   Checkers was adopted first. My personality is coming out more and more.  When my foster mom pets me , I meow and talk to her.  I like to stand up on my legs and put my paws on her knees to check things out!  I'm mild mannered and sweet natured.   Just want attention and some loving and petting.   Mom says I have a lot of potential to be a lap cat!   If you want to meet me, contact my foster mom, Janet, at catlady5555@yahoo.com.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 16, 2024, 8:36 am

Story
Hello applicants!  Meet our adorable Angelina.  This sweet girl is just perfect!  She loves all humans, cats and gets along with dogs too.  Angelina like many other Spring Branch Rescue intakes was found on the streets of Houston.  Probably dumped or got away from her home.  When we took her in she had a litter of kittens with her.  We have been able to find homes for all except this amazing girl.  She is fully housebroken and extremely obedient.  She will do great in any living situation.  Her transition from our foster home to yours should be a very easy one.  Our dear Angelina is FIV positive.  You take a chance when rescuing a cat that they will be FIV positive.  Back in the days it was a death sentence for them as many were not educated enough on this.  THERE is nothing bad about FIV.  WE love our FIV intakes!  They live long happy lives.  They will require a little more attention to upper respiratory issues.  Kinda like someone who has allergies.  You will need to stablish a relationship with a vet and keep up with all your yearly shots as expected.  FIV cats can live with other FIV cats and Dogs.  Unfortunately, cats that have FIV cannot live with those that do not have it.  Some adopters have adopted in the past and kept up with yearly shots for their health cats.  That's up to you as an adopter.  We have to let you know what we were told by our vet.  We have found homes for so many!!!  Absolutely NOTHING bad with their adoptions.  Lived long happy lives.  Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.   If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue Transport:  We also have our own rescue van and offer transport from Houston to your area every 2 weeks.  We have delivery points in Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and for our Canadian adopters with a passport there is a stop in Bellingham WA just for you to meet us and drive/fly/or take the ferry with your new pet back to Canada!!!!  We didn't forget about you guys.  Everyone will receive an envelope with your pets required medical records to enter Canada without any issues.    Adoption Fee includes:  This adoption fee will cover everything we have spent so far in Houston in Medical expenses, Training, Food, and Microchip.  If you are adopting outside of Texas or live in Canada your new baby will come with a Health Hertificarte to Travel Accross state lines.   Our adoption fees:    Kittens & Puppies up to 1 year are $400.  Adult Cats & Dogs are $350.  Seniors (7 years & older) $250.   Any pets traveling to the Pacific Northwest will have an additional transport fee of $200.     With your adoption and transport fees we are able to help another animal in need that will join our rescue.  Rescue never sleeps and the cost of doing so keeps increasing.  We keep going thanks to our adoption fees and donations.  We are a registered 501 (C)(3) Non Profit.   If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, please go to www.springbranchrescue.org for an adoption application. ##1657175##

CALICO LAP CUDDLER  DOB 6/27/21 Lyra would like a quiet house with a person or two who will get to know her gently, as she is very attached to her foster mom.  Lyra thinks her foster mom is the berries, so Lyra won't be won over in a minute.  She also hates cats except for her little black nemesis Trudy.  Lyra loves playing the game "aggravation" with Trudy.  She's a fabulous biscuit maker, if she adopts you!    HOPE ID 21-0807-E010 If you are interested in Lyra and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at hope@homelesspets.net and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
Grumpy But LovingMy name is Clancy and I am a pouncy, fun boy that loves to play.  I have an issue with change and need a little patience the first couple of days. I make friends easily and love humans so much. I am just grumpy when I move to a new surrounding.  I will growl and sound like I am angry, but I will not scratch or bite. Just letting you know that I need time to adjust.  I also get grumpy when things do not go my way. I am a little extra and need someone with understanding. I am a young boy that has brought so much joy into my Foster family’s home. I made best friends with the Labrador on my first day. I wanted to play with the other kittens, but it took them a few days to get used to me.  But the Human I would jump in her lap, growl and purr at the same time. By the 3rd day, I was her bestest buddy and slept in bed with her, purring all night long.  When playing, I growl like I am angry, but I am just playing and will do no harm.  I get along with younger kitties and kitties that are not timid, because my growling is intimidating, the timid kitties will hide.  I love chasing anything that moves, and playing with my sister running around the house, the laser pointer is lots of fun.   I love to pounce and play. My expressions are priceless!  Give me a Churu stick (or other puree type treats) for kitties and we will be forever besties!  I prefer to be where ever my Human is. I love to sleep with my Human and give midnight kisses.  My Foster says that I have brought so much joy to her and wants me to share it with others. She thinks I would be happiest as the only cat in the house with lots of human interaction. I would be ok with one friendly dog too. My bestie is Spring, my foster sister. Spring and I do everything together and will make a great Duo if you would like to adopt a pair.  My adoption fee is $85. Apply to adopt: toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=DCMHRQZTJune 18, 2024, 7:47 pm

Story
Petite sweet girlSpring is a sweet petite girl who is very vocal. When you enter a room, she will say hello and loves a lot of attention and affection. Spring was raised in one foster home with many other foster siblings, including a Labrador Retriever. She loves to play and is very outgoing.   At the adoption events, people always comment about how silky her fur is. She is very soft and sleek. Spring is besties with her Foster brother Clancy. It would be awesome if she was adopted along with one of her besties, but not necessary. Spring is such a great furbaby at home, but at adoptions events, she can get a little grumpy.  Spring's adoption fee is $85 which includes all of her vetting. She can also be transported to the Northeast for $200 on 3/14/2023. https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=DCMHRQZTJune 18, 2024, 7:47 pm
