Story
Sweet, easy going, gentle, petite, kittenI am sweet, calm a very loving young cat. I still have the spirit and disposition of a kitten and get along well with sweet cats. I was found roaming around a cat-lover yard by myself. I was just looking for food when I found a nice person that took me inside to protect me from the storm. Nobody has claimed me as their pet and I didn't have a microchip to find my owner. I am fully vetted now ( spayed, vaccinated, microchiped) and searching of my forever family. if you are looking for cat companion contact my foster human at Adoptablecatshouston@gmail.com for an application to adopt me.July 24, 2024, 7:30 pm

CALICO LAP CUDDLER  DOB 6/27/21 Lyra would like a quiet house with a person or two who will get to know her gently, as she is very attached to her foster mom.  Lyra thinks her foster mom is the berries, so Lyra won't be won over in a minute.  She also hates cats except for her little black nemesis Trudy.  Lyra loves playing the game "aggravation" with Trudy.  She's a fabulous biscuit maker, if she adopts you!    HOPE ID 21-0807-E010 If you are interested in Lyra and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at hope@homelesspets.net and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
THUMBS UP!  DOB 3/22/22 Hey there, everyone! I’m Mittens, a sweet, gentle, very submissive dilute-calico gal who’s friendly and sociable with hoomans of all ages. I'm a 'bicolor,' which means that I'm mostly white with blue and cream patches on my head, back, and tail. I’m what’s called a “polydactyl” because I have more toes on my front paws than most kitties. I’m very petite, and although I’m full grown, I’m the size of a seven-month old kitten. My future foster meowmy was on a TNR mission when she found me, friendly but pregnant and living paw-to-mouth in a feral-cat colony at a very low-income immigrant apartment complex in southwest Houston. Thank heavens Foster Meowmy scooped me up and brought me home with her to foster me. I’m adjusting well to my safe, secure indoor life with brimming food and water bowls, climate control, and toys to play with. However, trying to survive at that feeding station had been a very bad experience because I’d had to fight for food amongst the intact toms. So I’m understandably fearful of other cats and need to be an only-cat child in my forever home. If you’re looking for an affectionate baby-doll kitty who’ll always be the size of a kitten, I’m the polydactyl girl for you! Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave many-toed paw prints all over your heart – not just because I’m eye candy but also because I’m so affectionate and loving. HOPE ID 24-0322-D003 If you are interested in Mittens and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at GNARHouston@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home! NAME: Steffie Sex: Female Color/Pattern: calico orange white black Breed: calico BDAY approx: April 25 2022 Description Steffie is a gorgeous, quiet calico. Personality Steffie is the most introverted in her litter but loves being pet. She is always out and about finding things to play with and crawl on. She is unassuming and a joiner with the other kittens. She isnt shy at all, but can get spooked if you touch her when she didnt expect it. But then she leans into your hand for the scritches. She might become a lap cat if she goes to a household where there arent so many other kittens who keep her so amused. She likes attention but acts independent and not needy about affection. Background Steffie and her litter were born in a trailer park in north Houston to an outdoor momma who the finders didn't trap. Fleetwood, Mick, Steffie and Lindsay were scared when they came to their GNAR foster home at 6 weeks old, but quickly became very sweet. Compatibility Dogs - yes Cats - yes Kids - yes If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at GNARHouston@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!

Story
Description Black, Orange and White (medium fur) Female Calico with white paws. Personality Pepper is a very mild-mannered, well behaved, litter box trained cat. She is extremely polite and affectionate and a perfect indoor kitty. She prefers to let you know when she wants to be held and if you sit in a chair she happily jumps into your lap for affection. Pepper is patient and has a gentle nature. She can seem shy when adapting to a new place, but quickly will begin to happily explore. Background Pepper was found behind a garage parking lot with no shelter, food or water. She was extremely thin, malnourished and very friendly, even to a stranger. Her finder left her food and water and then returned two more days to feed her. On the third day they brought a cat carrier and she walked right into the carrier. She must have either been lost or dumped. They posted her as a found stray and tried to find her home but no one claimed her. She was spayed at The Greater Good on April 29th, dewormed, vaccinated, and given flea treatment. Pepper will make a wonderful pet for a small family with older children or a single person or couple looking for a wonderful companion. To meet me please contact my foster home via GNARHouston@gmail.com
