Story
Athena is a great dog but unfortunately we can’t keep her due to where we are staying and the landlord telling us we can’t have pets. We got Athena from My father’s friend. She is very sweet and mellow and loves to play with her toys and other dogs. She stays indoors but likes being outdoors. Currently is staying at my parents house temporarily but they don’t have time to take care of her there. She gets a long great with my 4 year old nephew. I want her to go to a good home.

Story
Hello there, I'm Tinkerbell. It's a small name for such a big girl! I'm a great big bundle of energy and love. I was quite shy when I first came to the shelter, but now I've made tons of friends with my big soulful eyes and slobbery smile. I'm looking for a home where I have lots of room to roam and play. I'll need lots of exercise! I can be a little much for kids or other dogs, and I prefer to be the only baby in your life anyways. Do you have the energy to keep up with me? Let's GO!!! Story
Hello There - Im DJ, the proud adopter of Kairoh, a 2 1/2 year-old (September 2021 Birth) Cane Corso Amer. Pit Bull mix. He was adopted from Oakland Animal Services and is neutered. He is up to date on shots and is micmicrochips. Im here because, Due to landlord issues - i have to surrender him before June 15, 2024. Although I am disheartened, I am hopeful that, through this medium, a new family can be matched to him. I also am hoping that his new family will have a yard space for him in a home that he can actually be at. Kairoh is a sweet dog who does get along with other dogs IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD. He would need time to adjust with any dogs. His demeanor around children is contingent on how they react to him. He'll get anxious if kids get scared. I mentally prepared to rehome Kairoh as long as a family is willing to adopt him and take care of him ❤️

Story
Meet Nemo! Nemo is a sweet Cane Corso.  He's super clumsy, he still has to get used to his long legs. He enjoys playing and exploring.  He does great in a crate and even sleeps all night long.   He knows how to use a doggy door.  He is completely housetrained.  He loves any and all toys.  He is super affectionate and loves cuddles.  Currently Nemo lives with a Chocolate Lab who he does well with.  He has met a cat but was too intimidated by her hisses.  He is working on simple commands but seems to be a fast learner. Puppy: up to 1 yr $450.00 Our dogs are spayed/neutered and a registered chip. For our puppies they are up to date on vaccinations.  Once adopted it is the new owner’s responsibility to continue the remaining vaccinations with a veterinarian. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match. Please visit https://www.calpaws.org/available-dogs for the adoption application! We are always in need of experienced fosters for the amount of dogs we have coming in. Being a foster is such a rewarding experience. If you are interested please review https://www.calpaws.org/fostering ##2014694##

Story
Lala is a big, super sweet and happy, friendly 65lb goober girl! She is about 2 years young, and loves people and dogs of all kinds. People love her and give her attention everywhere she goes because she's so sweet and gorgeous! She loves to give gentle hugs and offer her paw to hold hands, while gazing softly into their eyes. Lala is gentle with children of all ages, but does get overwhelmed with younger children who want to play with her too much.    Her temperament is gentle and she typically has a low to moderate energy level. However, she is still puppy-like and very playful with other dogs, loves to wrestle and tries to engage in play with every kind of dog. She would love to have a play buddy at home to play with! Other dogs may bark at her due to her size and friendliness, but she does not react or bark back, she's such a good girl!   Lala does require gentle and experienced owners who can help her understand boundaries with other dogs, and continue walking and separation anxiety training, so that she can continue being a good big girl! Lala was likely left in a backyard before and had escaped, as she does dig holes when she's bored and left outside alone. We wish for her to be able to have an engaged forever family who wants to actively experience life along with them, as she is still young and has a lot to see!   At her foster home, Lala has learned how to: &#226&#156&#133 Ride well in the car &#226&#156&#133 Respect older and smaller dogs &#226&#156&#133 Leash walking: Come back when she gets to the end of the leash or when called &#226&#156&#133 Sit, stay, come, leave it, shake, lay down &#226&#156&#133 Loves brush-outs, as she does shed quite a bit! &#226&#156&#133 Stay calm when left in the house   Lala is still working on: Crate training  100% loose-leash walking (Lala still pulls a bit due to her size)  Ignoring dogs that she wants to play with  Staying still for nail trims and baths  Not sure if she's friendly with cats, but she does try to chase squirrels   Contact The Perfect Dog rescue to fill out an application form. If approved, then we can arrange a time for you to meet Lala with her foster home!  We wish for her to be able to have an engaged forever family who wants  Lala  to actively experience life along with them, as she is still young and has a lot to see! Please contact Diana at (510) 333-4420 or theperfectdogrescue@gmail.com or fill out the adoption application:  http://www.theperfectdog.org/TPDadoptapp.doc May 4, 2024, 8:49 pm
