Story
Peppa is the definition of a devoted companion. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow who will stay by your side through it all, this sweet girl is ready to take that role seriously. She is naturally attentive to her surroundings and likes to keep a watchful eye on her people, giving her that quiet, “guardian angel” presence.
At her core, though, Peppa is all about love. She is incredibly affectionate and fully believes she’s a lap dog, happily curling up next to you or climbing into your lap whenever she gets the chance. Cuddling is easily her favorite activity, and she’s perfectly content spending her days relaxing close to her person. While she isn’t very interested in toys yet, she’s very food motivated and eager to connect, which makes bonding with her feel effortless.
Peppa is fully potty trained and does well when left home alone, where she’s calm and trustworthy. She’s comfortable having freedom in the home, though she may whine briefly if kenneled before settling in. She knows “sit,” understands “stay,” and is both smart and willing to continue learning.
On walks, she can get excited and may pull or show interest in chasing small critters, but she’s very responsive to treats and will benefit from some continued guidance. She is respectful and friendly with other dogs while still keeping her focus on her person.
Sweet, gentle, protective, and deeply loyal, Peppa is the kind of dog who forms a strong bond and gives her whole heart to her person.
Peppa was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico.
Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events!
We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently.
Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog.
If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded.
Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets.
The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
