Ida is a six-year-old, pure bred Cane Corso. Originally from Panama, she is a gentle, loyal, and adaptable dog. She is house-trained and loves to snuggle. She is highly trained and responsive to firm cues. A classic Cane Corso, she is gentle by nature but very protective. She is very playful around friendly dogs and defensive around aggressive dogs. She makes both a great guard dog and a loyal companion. Ida is a loving part of our family, and we are looking for a family that has ample outdoor space, a dedication to loving big dogs, and a willingness to open their home and hearts to our girl. It breaks our heart to say goodbye but because of flight restrictions for her breed, it is proving very difficult to bring her overseas with us as we are relocating for work. Say hello to Tinkerbell - this sweet Cane Corso girl is estimated to be about 2-3 yrs old and originally came from California to start a new life in Colorado. She's naturally suspicious of strangers and doesn't always shine at first meeting, but warms up to calm and gentle understanding of her special breed. Once she knows you, she enjoys attention and getting out for sniffy walks. She would do best as the only pet in the home. And just given her size and strength, it would also be best to have a calm and stable home without small children (older kids is OK). Tinkerbell recently had corrective surgery for "cherry eye" in both eyes, but will need another repair on them (this cost will be covered by Big Bones). Sadly, due to the stressful environment of the shelter, Tink's first cherry eye surgery didn't hold, but once she is adopted and in a calm environment in a home, Big Bones will have her cherry eye repair done again. It should have a much more successful outcome, and she will be thrilled to be able to have good visibility again! Sadly she just hit 113 days in our rescue and would REALLY love and benefit to have a home of her very own! She is ready to start the next chapter in life with her hero. Is it you? Gina is a real sweetie! She is very playful and extremely loving and affectionate once she gets to know you, she just wants to be right by your side. She is great off leash on our farm. She has done wonderful with all the dogs she has been around. She was raised with cats as well but sometimes she will still try to chase them a little bit. She is pretty protective of whoever she is bonded with, but if I'm around I can get her to trust people pretty quickly, especially with treats. She will probably take a few meet and greets before she can actually go home with someone new to get used to them. She is a barker outside so we use a bark collar and then she is silent. She is crate trained and potty trained. We had her DNA tested and she is 80% Neapolitan Mastiff and 20% Cane Corso Mastiff. She just turned 1-year-old on April 17th. She doesn't chew up much but she is a counter surfer. Overall she is pretty easy for a puppy that will need a special person. She has not really ever been around kids much. I'm sure she could get used to them but right now she doesn't know anything about them. Please email if you're interested and tell us about yourself. No apartments. She will be spayed before she goes to a new home but we didn't do it early because of her being a large breed and needing time to grow with her hormones for her joint health.
