Story
Meet this sweet, energetic Cane Corso girl! ~2 years old, ~70 lbs, and full of personality. She came to me underweight and in rough shape, but now she’s healthy, strong, and ready for a home that can keep up with her. Why you’ll love her: • Super playful and full of energy — perfect for active, experienced owners • Dog-friendly and great with kids • Crate trained, potty trained, and knows basic commands • Some separation anxiety, but does well in her crate • Not spayed, but fully vaccinated — I would not want her bred She thrives when she has space to run and play, so a large yard and owners familiar with big, strong guardian breeds is ideal. My apartment can’t meet her needs, and my older dog has a spinal condition, so I’m looking for a home where she can truly thrive. She comes with her XL crate, bed, bowls I’m happy to foster her while she transitions to her forever family. Vet records, photos, and videos are available — serious inquiries only, please. This girl deserves the best!

Story
Roxie is a shy puppy with a sweet, gentle soul. She may take a little time to warm up, but once she feels safe, her personality blossoms and she becomes a loving, loyal companion. This little girl is eager to bond and will thrive with someone ready to give her patience, reassurance, and lots of positive experiences. We highly recommend positive reinforcement training to help Roxie continue building her confidence and learn that the world is a fun, safe place. She’s a smart pup who just needs the right support to shine. Although Roxie has siblings, we highly recommend that she be adopted separately. Going to her own home will give her the best chance to grow independently and develop her own confidence and coping skills. Roxie is a wonderful puppy ready for a fresh start and a family who will cheer her on every step of the way.

Story
This pup will be available to meet starting on 3/28! Peppa is a 2 year old Cane Corso mix weighing 44 pounds with plenty to gain still.  She has the most soulful eyes and a heart as soft as they come. This beautiful girl has done her job as a mama and is now ready to retire from motherhood and finally be the one spoiled and cared for.   Peppa worked hard raising her puppies and proved herself to be the sweetest, most devoted mama. Now it is her turn to enjoy the good life filled with love, comfort, and plenty of belly rubs.   She is incredibly gentle, dainty, and submissive, with a calm and loving personality that makes her easy to adore. Peppa loves people, absolutely adores cuddles, and will happily soak up all the affection you have to give. Belly rubs are her love language, and she never says no to snuggle time. She is also very food motivated, which makes her eager to learn and a joy to bond with.   Peppa gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive in a home with canine companions where she can feel safe and part of a pack. She walks nicely on leash, knows some basic obedience, and seems to be potty trained.   This sweet girl is ready for a fresh start in a home where she will never have to worry again. She dreams of a cozy bed, a loving family, and a life filled with kindness and comfort.   If you are looking for a calm, affectionate, and gentle companion who will fill your home with love, Peppa is ready to be your girl for once and for all.  Peppa was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here: https://4p4l.org/faqs/  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  ##2687487##

Story
Charlie is a big boy with an even bigger heart. This handsome bullmastiff mix may seem imposing at first glance, but don’t let his size fool you - he’s all softness on the inside. Calm, gentle, and sweet as can be, he’s happiest just being near his people. Charlie loves taking long, luxurious naps, curling up at your feet while you work, cook, or watch TV, and leaning in for full-body cuddles. So far, he hasn’t met a human or dog he doesn’t like. He’s fully house trained and doesn’t seem to mind separation. And he’s working on his commands, which should be a breeze, considering how much he loves treats. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion, Charlie might just be your perfect match. Come meet this gentle giant - he’s ready to snuggle his way into your heart. ##2667155##

Story
Zen is a 6-year-old male Neo Mastiff mix who’s as big-hearted as he is big in stature. Rescued from a shelter after his previous owners surrendered him for being “too big,” Zen is now on the hunt for his forever home where he can truly shine. Zen is a sweet, playful giant with a lot of energy for his breed. He’s very intelligent and learns quickly, making him a joy to train. However, Zen prefers to be the only dog in the home; he can get jealous and aggressive with other dogs, wanting all the attention for himself. When he's your one and only, he’s incredibly loving and will shower you with affection. Though he’s not reactive to other dogs on leash, Zen does best in a home without canine companions. He appreciates careful introductions to new people, especially those who approach unexpectedly. Zen’s ideal owner will be someone experienced with his breed and capable of continuing his training and socialization. If you’re ready to welcome a devoted and energetic companion into your life, Zen could be the perfect fit. He’s looking for a loving home where he can be the center of attention and enjoy all the love he has to give!
