Story
I got him from another shelter when he was about 1 year old, and he is now 4 years old. He has been a loyal and loving dog, and this is not an easy decision for us. Because of our busy work schedule, we want to find him a home where he can get more time, attention, and consistency. He is very good with people, especially people who are handicapped or may need a gentle, patient dog around them. He has a calm and loving side, and he connects well with people. I would describe him as loyal, protective, smart, gentle, and affectionate. We are looking for a responsible new home with someone who understands large dogs and can give him love, structure, exercise, and attention. We want him to go to a safe home where he will be treated like family.

Story
Steel is a 7-month-old Cane Corso who is truly a gentle giant. He has a calm and laid-back temperament, not overly energetic, and can be a bit anxious at times. He is very sweet-natured and does well in a quiet, stable environment where he feels safe and comfortable. He is crate trained and good with kids, making him a loving companion for a family. He would do best in a home that can provide patience, consistency, and the time to help build his confidence as he continues to grow.

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Diesel Coal is of cane corso/lab/pit mix, is 5yo, weighs 77lbs, is neutered, is microchipped, but is not up to date on his vaccines.  Diesel Coal's guardian adds:  "He is such a loving boy who wants only love and to be able to trust in someone who won't hurt him.  He is alone at home 10-12 hours/day, is crated during the day and night, dislikes/fears the vacuum and other dogs, and is active but great during car rides.  I try healthy foods such as Pure Balance at Wal-Mart."   Diesel Coal's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him:  His guardian recently experienced an abrupt and unexpected housing situation and the premises in which she currently safely/securely lives doesn't offer enough space for his comfort. Diesel Coal's guardian states the following regarding children:  Diesel Coal lives with children (starting at age 6 and up and are currently 13 and 11yo), so his guardian recommends his living with children, stating "Loves to be petted by kids and play games of chase with a ball, not much of a fetcher". Diesel Coal's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Diesel Coal hasn't lived with dogs, so his guardian doesn't recommend his living with dogs, stating "He will sometimes whine and growl". Diesel Coal's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Although Diesel Coal lives with a cat, his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats, stating "He likes our cat, but she doesn't like him..lol..he boops her with his nose, paws her to play or chases her".  Diesel Coal's guardian describes him as: Very active Playful Affectionate Independent Protective House-Trained Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Diesel Coal's guardian describes his ideal future home:  "Diesel Coal would best go to a family who will love him unconditionally be patient and able to train him better.  Maybe a couple or older kids as he still is a big guy and can knock over small kiddos." Story
🐾 Meet Ribeye 🐾This 1-year-old brindle Cane Corso has clearly had a rough start in life—but you’d never know it once he lets you in. Ribeye is learning what love, patience, and safety feel like, and he’s making progress every day. He can be a little timid at first and may submissively pee when he sees a leash, but his foster has been working with him and he’s already improving. What he needs most is someone who understands that trust takes time—and is willing to give him that space to grow. Once Ribeye warms up, his true personality shines through. He is a total attention seeker and loves being close to his person. He’s also the zoomie king 👑 and would absolutely love a yard where he can run, stretch his legs, and show off his full-speed happiness. Because Ribeye loves his people so much, he prefers not to share the spotlight with other dogs and would do best as the only pet in the home. For the same reason, we’re recommending a home without small children, so his space and boundaries are respected. Ribeye is a sensitive soul with so much love to give—he just needs the right person to see him for who he is and help him continue to heal. 💙📍 📩 Apply to give Ribeye the second chance he deserves.

Story
Meet Angel — a big, beautiful girl with an equally beautiful heart. Formerly known as Shenzi, she was surrendered back to her breeder, and when no one wanted a “used dog,” rescue stepped in to give her the fresh start she deserves. Angel is powerful yet incredibly sweet and gentle, with the softest expression — which is exactly how she earned her new name. She quickly bonded with her foster dad and has become a total velcro dog. She also fit right in with the resident pack and can usually be found snuggled up beside them. She gets a little excited at the start of walks but settles nicely and is nonreactive around other dogs. Angel does have some separation anxiety and can be vocal, but she is making steady progress with consistency and patience. We would love to find Angel her forever home soon… mostly because we’re pretty sure her foster family is dangerously close to foster failing, and then their pack may be too full to help future fosters in need.
