Buddy is dealing with an unresolved gastrointestinal condition that has caused significant weight loss despite a strong appetite and good energy. He has had extensive veterinary care, including bloodwork, Addison’s testing, and a prescription diet. While the cause has not yet been identified, he remains bright and affectionate. Buddy is crate trained and views his crate as a safe space, responding best to calm and patient handling. He will thrive in a stable, loving home that can provide routine veterinary follow-up and plenty of affection.

He doesn’t pull much, loves his treats, and is quick to make eye contact with his person. This handsome guy already knows “sit” and “paw,” and once he’s comfortable, his playful side begins to shine through. Theo came into the shelter with two other Cane Corsos—one thought to be his mom—and volunteers believe he may be younger than originally noted. With consistency, love, and a safe place to land, Theo will grow into a deeply loyal best friend.
