Story
Good With Kids: Yes, 8 and up. Good With Other Dogs: Yes Good With Cats: Tested, but has not lived with cats. Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes House Manners: Good Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes, Tess is an easy walker Knows Basic Commands: Sit Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High):Couch Potato to Moderate Special Needs: None Physical Fence: Preferred / No Invisible Fences Nickname: Dutchess Favorite game: Fetch Arrival story: Spent a long stint at the Saginaw County Animal Shelter. Approximate age / Weight: 10-years-old and 66 lbs. Personality: The Duchess has arrived. The Duchess of Waggin’ Tails that is! Ruler of the foster dog kingdom or errr… her foster home. Tess is a spunky lady, who loves to snuggle, go for walks, play with her tiny toys and zoomie around the yard. Queen Tess is a pretty easy-going lady and loves to just hang out with her people on her throne (couch) after taking you on a parade around her kingdom (neighborhood). She knows sit, and has more of a refined palate and leans into being more of a meat and potato type of girl. Tess is kind to all her subjects (cat and dog-tested). She is nervous around new people, so a slow introduction with lots of treats is the way to this queen’s heart. New Home: She likes to hang out with her people and is a great daily walking buddy. Would be happy living with other animals, but would also be happy to eat up all the attention she truly deserve as the only Queen in your home. Are you willing to roll out the red carpet for her? Contact: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application. ADOPTION INFO: We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar on our website for the date and time of the next adoption event. Arrangements can be made to meet a dog outside of adoption events after an application is submitted and approved. Our adoption process includes an application and in-home meet-n-greet with the dog. -Adult Dog Adoption Fee - $250 -Senior Dog Adoption Fee - $125 -Pup Adoption Fee - $250 plus $50 spay/neuter deposit refunded upon proof of surgery by 6 mos.

Story
🐾 Meet Magnolia 🐾 3 years old | 95 lbs | Gentle & soulful Magnolia is a calm, sweet girl with a soft heart and an old soul. She loves peaceful days, sniffy walks, sunshine, and carrying her favorite stuffies around the house. She’s low-energy, house-trained, and happiest in a calm, loving home. ✨ What to know about Magnolia: • Gentle, affectionate, and quiet • Great with respectful dogs and cats • Loves calm kids and kind humans • Excellent in the car, easygoing at home • Enjoys walks, outdoor exploring, and lounging • Dog-selective but polite and social with the right matches 🩺 Care note: Magnolia has a manageable medical need where she may leak a bit after her morning potty break. She wears a diaper during that time and handles it like a champ. She’s otherwise dry, comfortable, and doing well — and the rescue is continuing to monitor her care. 💛 Magnolia would thrive in a patient, peaceful home with people who value a gentle, loyal companion. She’s not demanding — just quietly wonderful. 👉 Apply to adopt: https://www.underdogrescueranch.com/adopt

Story
I’m currently a cute, squishy baby with oversized paws and zero awareness of personal space. Don’t be fooled though—those paws are a promise. I will grow into them. Probably faster than you think. I’m searching for a human (or humans) who: Understands that “large breed puppy” means big dog energy loading… Is prepared for training, patience, and the occasional stolen sock Doesn’t mind being lovingly body-checked by 60+ pounds of enthusiasm in the near future My hobbies include: Sitting on laps that are clearly not built for me Chewing things I definitely shouldn’t Learning commands… selectively Practicing my future career as a couch-stealing professional I will need: Consistent training (because I’m cute now, but I’ll be huge later) Exercise, structure, and enrichment Someone who laughs instead of panics when I trip over my own feet If you’re ready for a loyal best friend who will grow from “adorable potato” into “majestic, slightly chaotic giant,” then congratulations—you might be my person. Apply now. I promise to love you forever and only eat some of your belongings. We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. December 26, 2025, 10:53 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Slim – the Sweetest Survivor  Please note: The second photo is a BEFORE picture—Slim is healthy and thriving now!  From the streets of Detroit to a journey of healing, Slim has been through more than most—but you’d never know it by the way his tail wags. This stunning Cane Corso came to us severely emaciated, weighing under 40 pounds when he should have been closer to 100. But Slim didn’t let that hardship define him. Despite everything, all he knows is love. Slim is a true gentle giant in the making. He adores other dogs—yes, even the tiny 20-pounders—and plays with them like he’s one of the pack. He’s goofy, affectionate, and loves rolling around on his back with his favorite toys. If there’s attention to be had, Slim is all in! He’s still gaining weight and working toward his healthy goal of around 100 pounds, but he’s well on his way and doing great. His spirit is strong, his belly is full, and his heart is even fuller. &#226&#156&#133 Good with dogs &#226&#156&#133 Kid-friendly (ages 10+ recommended due to his size) &#226&#156&#133 Toy enthusiast and belly-rub champion &#226&#156&#133 Ready to find his forever home Please note: The second photo is a BEFORE picture—Slim is healthy and thriving now!
