WARREN COUNTY, NY: A treasure and a pleasure, Darcy is also the kindest, most gentle dog ever who loves all people, all dogs - and don’t forget his toys! Charming Darcy is estimated to be 6 years young and weighs a healthy 63 lbs. When he first arrived at the shelter as a stray in February 2024, he was emaciated and vomiting. He continued to decline, becoming weaker and weaker for the next 9 days until he only weighed 49 lbs. Even though he was so sick, Darcy was always such a good boy - getting along with all staff, all dogs, and always obedient and easy to handle. Finally, Darcy underwent surgery for an intestinal blockage due to a foreign body. Afterwards, Darcy sure was hungry! This handsome boy has packed on some well-deserved pounds and his coat became smooth & silky. In early April 2024 Darcy was rescued from euthanasia and has since resided in a loving foster home. A true gentleman, Darcy is a very sweet and kind boy who plays so softly with other dogs. He seeks attention and is affectionate, leaning in for a snuggle. He is a love bug who enjoys pets and walks, having a medium energy level. His foster recently also took in a nervous puppy and Darcy immediately started loving on him, playing with him to help him feel more comfortable. Champ is a very loving and loved dog. He is 3 yrs old. We purchased him from a breeder in No. Carolina and he has been with us since he was 6 months old. Champ loves attention and loves to be petted. We do not want to let Champ go, but my husband has become disabled, and I have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis so we are no longer able to physically and financially take care of Champ the way he deserves to be cared for. He did attend training classes but after my husband became sick it was hard for me to continue his training, so he does pull when he is walked which is why I can’t handle him. Also because my husband is no longer able to work our finances have drastically changed so that has impacted our ability to make sure that Champ is taken care of medically. He loves children and other dogs. Champ is a gentle giant, he is not a barker, but he will definitely let you know if someone is approaching your home. Champ is a true friend and companion. We live in Willingboro NJ.
