Story
🐾 Meet Ronix (Courtesy Post!) Breed: Presa Canario | Age: 8 years | Size: Large Traits: Protective, loyal, quiet, couch potato, loves car rides Ronix is an 8-year-old senior stud muffin looking for an experienced, understanding home to spend his golden years. He’s a quiet, laid-back guy who loves naps, attention from his people, and going for car rides. While he enjoys getting outside and exploring, he’s happiest relaxing close to the people he trusts. Ronix is a large, protective dog and will need an adopter experienced with strong breeds and dog-reactive behavior. He must be leashed in public and handled carefully around other dogs, as he can be triggered during walks. Because of this, and the fact that Ronix has not been around cats, we believe he would do best as the only pet in the home. Despite his protective nature, Ronix is a loving companion who simply wants stability, affection, and a family that understands him. He has never required crating and does best in a calm, structured environment. 🏡 Ideal Home: • Experienced large-breed owner • No other pets • Calm, predictable household • Secure handling and continued structure Ronix deserves a soft place to land and someone willing to love him for exactly who he is.

Story
Ivy, formerly known as Skylar, is a silver bouncy velveteen hippo goddess with striking Tahoe blue eyes. Born in December, this Cane Corso Neapolitan mastiff is a true Sagittarius. Her curiosity is boundless and her optimism infectious. This 6-month-old 60 lb rock star is your future soul mate from the stars. Ivy loves her canine and feline foster siblings. In fact, she loves that cat so much that she tries to impersonate him by playing with his tiny toys. Also known as the collector, she uses her impressive jowls to gather all the dog toys in her mouth and prance around the home with them. She finds toys irresistible, and who can blame her- she's just a big baby! Of course, she loves to play with her siblings as well, but her toys are a little more tolerant of her clumsy antics than her dog and cat siblings. Ivy also loves cuddling with anyone that will indulge her- cat, dog, human. She knows basic commands and obedience, such as sit, down, come, SPIN, and stay. Very impressive for such a young girl. In addition to these academic accolades, Ivy is an eager dog puzzle enthusiast and highly food- and treat-motivated. Ivy’s ideal family would be one that will continue to nurture her and understands guardian breeds. She had a traumatic start to life- bred in a backyard breeding ring, purchased, under socialized, kept in a crate, and neglected- although the owner did love her as best she could. In her foster home, the endless love, patience, and guidance her foster parents and siblings provided allowed Ivy to blossom. However, city life is too much for beautiful Ivy. She would thrive in a home that can show her the world is not so terrifying. New people and animals scare her. She does not realize she is 60 lbs of super soft fabulous power. Ivy believes she is a 10 lb dog with the heart of a survivor- filled and ready to love. Ivy loves people, but might be too much for little humans at this time. She would love to be in an adult home or one with older children. If interested in adopting or fostering  Ivy, please complete an application, which can be found on our website at www.twentypawsrescue.com/forms-applications. Story
This is Fenrir, Fen for short. He is a Cane Corso, Pit mix. He turned two on Halloween. We got him when he was 6 weeks old and made it a priority to socialize him with other dogs, puppies, cats and multiple farm animals, as well as adults, children and babies. It hurts my heart to rehome him, but I had a baby nearly 8 months ago and Fen absolutely despises her. Hes always done great with my friends babies, so we thought he just needed time to adjust, but he hasn't gotten any better. When shes out of my room, Fen has to be in his crate and when hes out of his crate, she has to be in my room. Its not a proper or good life for either of them, nor is it fair. Now that my daughter has become mobile, being in a crate is no longer a viable solution, as she can stick her hands through it and it would just be setting Fen up for failure. He does great with my other children and has been on a wait list to be neutered, we called all the vets in the area and none have availability until July.

Story
Cooper is a very sweet, smart and affectionate three year old boy. Cooper comes from a champion bloodline and he has gone through a 4 week training program when he was a year old. He has done very well with all his training but still tends to pull while walking unless actively corrected. He can be reactive on walks and can suddenly pull very hard which can be dangerous. He has knocked me down and injured me several times from pulling although he will rarely pull my husband. Cooper loves to play with both adults and children but Cooper does not know his own size and will knock down small children who try to play with him. As much as cooper likes to play he loves even more to snuggle everyone. Weighing 130lbs Cooper is fully grown and is up to date on all shots, is neutered and is currently taking Simparica Trio. Cooper has a very sensitive stomach and does best on a bland diet.

This big sweet boy was abandoned by his owner in the apartment they once shared. He sat alone, without food or water, wondering why they never returned for him? And then more trauma was heaped on him, because when people finally came for him, he was dragged out of his home and dumped at the scary uncertain shelter.
