He’s a friendly, well-mannered boy who gets along great with other dogs and is non-reactive to other animals. Hendrix is wonderful with kids and has a gentle, affectionate nature that makes him an amazing family companion. He loves to play—especially when balls are involved—and will happily chase them until it’s time to relax. When playtime is over, Hendrix turns into a total cuddle bug and truly believes he’s a giant lap dog. He enjoys snuggling up with his people and being close to those he loves. Hendrix does have epilepsy, which is currently being managed. With the right care and a consistent routine, he continues to thrive and enjoy life just like any other dog. His condition doesn’t define him—it’s just one small part of who he is. Zeus is an 8 year old cane corso mix and weighs 108 lbs. He gets along with other dogs, kids and strangers, but has no experience with cats. In this big frame is a deeply sensitive soul who has so much love to give. Zeus lost the only home he’s ever known when his owner faced serious medical challenges, and he was heartbreakingly surrendered to the shelter. By July 2025, Zeus found himself at risk for euthanasia. Thankfully, Zeus was rescued, but his journey hasn’t been easy. His foster recently fell through, and he is now in a boarding facility in northern NJ. While the staff are kind, boarding is no place for a senior dog who just wants a cozy couch, a soft bed, and someone to love him. Zeus truly is a gem. He’s affectionate, gentle, and full of life. When he’s happy, he doesn’t act like a senior at all and will even burst into joyful zoomies, especially in the snow. He previously and harmoniously lived with a 5-year-old child, and he gets along with other dogs with slow, proper introductions. Zeus desperately needs a foster or adopter who can give him the comfort and stability he deserves. He has so much love left to give and will make his person incredibly happy. CALLING ALL CANE CORSO LOVERS - MEET -SUKI-FEMALE - 8 MONTHS OLD SUKI IS AT THE SHELETER Suki was adopted/gifted to her owner at 5 months old. Shelter has said she is a loving, happy puppy. Suki’s family can no longer care for her, and had to surrender her. Suki is already 55 lbs. of love. She loves treats and being in her families social circles. Suki will be a wonderful loyal companion. She knows her basic commands sit, stay and down. Suki is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations. She is such a good girl, house broken and happy walking on a leash. She is a young wiggly, happy girl and loves her treats. She can be shy at first, until she gets to know her new surroundings and friends. She is ok with other dogs, and children, she has not been interacted with cats. As always, an introduction would be needed. She is just a baby to and truly suffering in the shelter enviornement and we are using all platforms to find her a home, please feel free to share her story with your friends and family.
