Story

Athena is a 4 to 5 year old female Cane Corso . She was found at Hubbard Valley Park in Seville tied to a tree. If you know her and where she belongs please call our office. Athena weighs 92 lbs. Athena is very scared and confused and will take a few days to decompress. Athena is working on her trust issues. She makes a little bit more progress each day. We will post more info on her as we get to know her better. Athena walks nice on a leash. She can sit and give paw. She is a dog that you will not be able to come in and meet her and take her home. She will need several meet and greets to get to know you. She does not trust strangers. But Athena has made huge progress in the past couple weeks. We recommend a home with no small children as she is very nervous around them. She is a no drama kind of girl. ****Update****** Athena is waiting for her right person.. I am so proud of how far she has come. She is now being walked by some of our volunteers. She is still shy with strangers. She is not the same dog that came in. She is more of a ladies dog but with time may learn to like men too. . She is picky about her dog friends a meet and greet is a must!!!! Lets find Athena a home for the holidays. Because she truly deserves it. Dogs are available to meet before their adoption date. The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, a current year dog license, and a certificate to be spayed or neutered (The Dog Shelter pays for it). If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:30PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.

Zeke is a big lover boy all around! His only concern is being around his person cuddling and napping! He had ACL surgery in November of 2024 and made a full recovery but is meant to be getting exercise daily and unfortunately we have come to realize we won’t be able to give him the attention and care he deserves. He’s an amazing companion and looking for someone he can spend his life beside! Preferably no other male dogs, any kids and cats are 100% fine though, possibly a female dog would be fine too! Come meet him and fall in love, it hurts me to think of him gone but he definitely isn’t getting the life he needs here

Greta is currently completing advanced, professional training at Canelot Canine and will be ready for adoption very soon! She has made incredible progress and is truly a different dog thanks to the dedicated work of their trainers. Greta is learning all basic commands, recall, and proper socialization with people, and she continues to thrive in a structured environment. Due to the trauma Greta endured earlier in life, she does have some limitations. While her training has been highly successful, her future home must be understanding of her boundaries and committed to continuing advanced training. An ideal home for Greta would be adult-only, have Cane Corso or large-breed experience, and be willing to maintain consistency and structure. I took Bucc-ee in to foster him because he was attacked by a smaller dog and he severally injured the chihuahua who attacked him and the original owner was going to have him euthanized i couldn't bare to hear what they were going to do beings it was not his fault. A mutual friend was telling me about it and i agreed to take him in until they moved but once they moved they changed their phone number and blocked me on social media. I recently had to move and the household i am staying in has other pets that have tried to attack him. I have tried to find someone to take him in as I am trying to split from the household and the landlord does not allow that breed.
