Story
Wednesday is currently in a foster home in HOUSTON, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up. Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio. Once your application has been approved, we'll arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Wednesday. Meet Wednesday! Wednesday and her brother Pugsley were found roaming as strays at a local public school. They both were crossing a busy street and teachers were worried they would get hit by a car. One of the teachers reached out to us for help with getting the 2 off the streets and we were able to take them both in. Wednesday is now in a loving foster home and is flourishing, but she's ready for her forever home! Wednesday is estimated to be about 6 months old (as of 12/13/25) and is fully vaccinated and microchipped. She'll be spayed between 6 months - 1 year of age. Wednesday is a shepherd mix and currently weighs 30 pounds. We do anticipate she will grow to be a medium - large sized pup once she's fully grown. Breed, age & estimated weight are all based off of our vet's best estimate since we don't have any parents to go off of. Wednesday is dog friendly and currently lives with other dogs in her foster home. She enjoys running and playing with her doggie foster siblings. She's young and still has some puppy energy, but her foster mom also describes her as a couch potato who enjoys cuddles on the couch with her human. Wednesday is also cat friendly and currently lives with cats in her foster home. Her foster mom describes her as very calm and says that Wednesday is fine with the cats and doesn't really pay any attention to them. Wednesday is kid friendly and has been around children ages 2 and 8 and she is so sweet and gentle with everyone. Wednesday is potty and crate trained and does well in her crate! She stays in there while her foster mom is away from home for work or errands. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom at night time and is such a good girl. She curls up in bed and sleeps all through the night. Wednesday is still a young pup, so she's still learning to walk on a leash, but she's such a smart girl and a quick learner! Wednesday is great in the car and just sits back and enjoys the ride! Here's a small blurb about Wednesday from her foster mom: Wednesday is the sweetest girl and deserves the best home! She enjoys the company of her human and doggie companions and loves being near you and spending time with you. She's very patient with little kiddos and doesn't pay attention to the cats. She is gentle, sweet and cuddly. She's the perfect companion to take out to a coffee shop and just have her sit at your feet. She truly doesn't know a stranger! We've taken her to multiple events and she loves meeting new people and getting cuddles. She'll make the perfect addition to any loving family! Snowby's nickname is Snowball. He does a little twirl when going out for a walk. He gets along with most dogs so proper introduction is a must. He is very loyal and loving. He loves to run around with his doggie friends. He loves to sleep next his person(s). He would be be best suited to a household without young children. He is a great walking and car companion. He likes to be part of whatever activity is happening. He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He is ideal for house or apartment living due to his smaller size. He can travel anywhere in the US and Canada. ##1499385##

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. Autumn is a very mature and sweet female dog…maybe a Carolina Dog with a mix of Redbone Coon Hound…only DNA will tell. DOB: 11/21/21 (about 4 yrs old) and now weighs 48#s. She has totally blossomed since she’s been in foster. She loves people and plays well with other dogs. She is also good with cats!!! Her luxurious red coat, chocolate brown eyes and perfect perky ears are just endearing to your senses and heart. She can be a COUCH POTATO…loves those restful times and calm moments on the couch with her head on your lap. She enjoys gentle pets and soft hands; but, also loves to play! Rope toys, balls and squeaky toys are her favorites! She Likes her stuffed toys. She ADORES her own doggie bed, and a soft blanket on her bed. She is leash trained; kennel trained; and house trained. She will be good with respectful children. We have no small children in which to test her but she has a great, calm temperament. She is a great dog. FOSTER’S COMMENTS: How does her day go? She enjoys a steady routine, but doesn’t mind some change up. She likes to go for strolls, and loves to play with her dog friends once she knows them! She is vocal when playing with dog friends. She’s not a fence jumper nor an escape artist. Just a little adventurous. This will make her great for the person that likes to hike and take trips. She basically ignores cats. Would be ok with respectful children,6 and up. Ok in an apartment if taken for a stroll twice daily. She prefers to free roam the home, but is kennel trained and is not destructive if roaming. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
We'll also keep you updated on Wednesday's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Hi, I'm Ronnie! I'm a playful, fun-loving dog who loves to be around others. I get along well with most dogs once properly introduced and have lived with cats - I love to bark and chase them in a friendly, playful way. I enjoy kids too and always try to be gentle when playing. I can have fun with all kinds of toys (and even things that aren't toys!). I'm potty-trained, know my basic commands, walk nicely on a leash, and enjoy car rides. If you're looking for a lively, loving companion, I'd love to meet you! This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.
