Story
Meet Lavender! This absolute cutie is ready to bloom in her forever home! Lavender is a 6-month-old, 18-pound pup who looks like a Carolina Dog mix, though she’s on the smaller side and likely has a fun mix of breeds in her. She’s super friendly, playful, and adores people—she soaks up all the attention she can get! Lavender gets along great with other dogs but prefers to enjoy her meals solo. We pulled her from a shelter just in time, and now she’s looking for a loving family to call her own.If you’re looking for a sweet, happy pup who’s ready for fun and cuddles, Lavender is your girl!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Say hello to Tennyson! Tennyson is a 2.5-year-old, 50 LB Carolina dog who is so excited to find his forever home! Tennyson is an extremely friendly and loving dog with a lot of personality! He’s got an affectionate nature, and his amazing eyes will win you over in an instant! He is also eager to please his handler and loves anything having to do with being with his people and playing with other dogs. Tennyson LOVES other dogs, so having a canine companion in the home would help him build confidence and give him a buddy to romp around with as he is VERY playful and still thinks he’s a puppy with lots of playful energy to share! Tennyson can be shy in new situations and would do best in a standalone home with a fully fenced yard for him to run and play. No apartment or busy city life for him. He walks amazing on leash and likes to stay close to his handler as well. If you are looking for a friendly and loveable boy to join your family, come meet Tennyson! He’s ready to steal your heart and will be a very loyal companion! Tennyson is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
Tawny is a delightful Carolina Dog mix with a heart full of love and an adventurous spirit. There’s nothing she enjoys more than being with her family, making her the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal and affectionate pup. Whether she’s lounging in the sun, playing in the yard, or going on an outdoor adventure, Tawny is always happiest when she’s by your side. This sweet girl rides well in the car and is fantastic on a leash, making her an excellent travel and walking buddy. She absolutely loves water, so if you enjoy hiking, camping, or trips to the lake, Tawny will be right there, ready to join in on the fun. Her favorite backyard pasttime - playing a good game of fetch! She gets along wonderfully with all dogs, making her a great addition to a multi-dog household. She would fit right in with a dog that wants to play. She does have a habit of jumping when excited, so a home without toddlers would be best. She has met cats and hasn't tried to chase. Tawny is very affectionate and thrives on attention and affection. She is still working on her potty training but is making great progress in her foster home. With consistency and patience, she will continue to improve. She is content in a kennel but prefers to be around her family on the couch or bed! Currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, Tawny is looking for a forever home where she can be part of an active and loving family. Her adoption fee is $250 for in-state adopters and an additional $300 for out-of-state transport. If you’re searching for a playful, adventurous, and affectionate companion, Tawny is ready to be your best friend! To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. This gal was abandoned by her owners when it was 20 degrees.  She likes children, dogs her size and okay with dog tolerant cats.  She will play with cats like they are dogs, so probably not cat house best.  She loves walks and car rides.  Loves hanging with her people on the couch or in your chair.  Potty trained, leash trained and crate trained. Story
Quick Facts  Name: Sang Age: 6 years old  Gender: Male Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Jindo & Shiba Mix Color: Black & Tan Weight: 12kg   All About Me I was abandoned in front of the shelter with my five siblings, but now I’m ready to find my forever home where I can finally feel safe and loved. I might be a little shy at first, but with some time and patience, I’ll warm up and become your most loyal companion. Good with kids: We’re not sure yet, as Sang hasn’t had the chance to meet any children. However, he has a very gentle and calm temperament, so we believe he would likely do well with kids.Good with other dogs: Yes, once comfortable.Good with cats: Slightly scared, but less than with dogs.   My Personality Shy but Sweet: I’m a bit timid when we first meet, but give me a little time, and I’ll become your best friend. I might not be too interested in snacks, but I’m definitely interested in getting to know you! People-Focused: I rely a lot on people for comfort and security. Once I know you like me, I’ll follow you everywhere and shower you with affection. You’ll always have a loyal companion by your side! Not Much of a Player: I’m not very interested in other dogs, but I feel more secure when they’re around. While I might not play with them, I do like having them nearby—it makes me feel safe. A home with other dogs could be a good fit for me! Outdoor Enthusiast: I enjoy outdoor activities and have a normal energy level. After some fun outside, I’m happy to rest quietly and relax with you. Easygoing Eater: I’m very laid-back when it comes to food—I don’t guard my meals, and I’m always polite during mealtime. Quiet and Calm: I’m not much of a barker, and I’m calm when resting in a kennel. I prefer to keep things peaceful and quiet. House-trained:Yes, Sang is fully house-trained and only goes potty outside. He has never had an accident indoors. Energy Level:Sang has a moderate energy level indoors. He enjoys quietly following you around the house and just being near you. However, when he's outside, he becomes very fast and loves to run around. He doesn’t play with toys—he’s actually a bit scared of them—but when I take him to a private off-leash area, he enjoys chasing me around. Sang doesn’t really know how to “play” like a typical dog, so I just talk to him a lot and engage with him that way. He understands “pee pee poo poo” in a high-pitched voice as a cue to go outside, and he gets excited, sometimes even cries a little (in a happy way) because he’s eager to go out. Leash Trained:Sang may pull at first due to nerves, especially in unfamiliar areas. He gets startled by certain noises like car doors closing or beeping, and large vehicles passing by. Once he’s used to the environment, he walks at a normal pace. He usually needs to pee or poop in the morning, so if he’s pulling harder than usual, he’s probably just looking for a good spot to go. After that, he settles down. He can get scared when large dogs approach and might try to pull away. Please be careful—he may slip out of his harness if it isn’t secure. I always make sure the harness is snug and pulls from the chest area. Barking:Sang doesn’t bark! He only makes sounds in his sleep—it’s really cute. He might bark softly for a few seconds while dreaming, but otherwise he doesn’t bark at all. He sometimes cries when he’s excited, but it’s never loud or disruptive. Car Travel:Sang loves car rides! I try to bring him with me whenever I can because he enjoys being in the car. I think he likes it even more because he usually ends up at fun places like his dog friends’ houses, the cottage, or my parents’ home. He seems to assume we’re going somewhere exciting when we drive. He’s very calm in the car and gets visibly excited when I shift into “park”—it’s like he knows we’ve arrived somewhere good!   Special NotesI’m a gentle, loyal, and affectionate dog who’s looking for a patient and loving home. I might be shy at first, but once I trust you, I’ll be the most devoted companion you could ever ask for. I’m great with other dogs, even if I don’t play much, and I’ll always prioritize my human friends. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving friend who will follow you everywhere, I’m your perfect match! Ready to give Sang a loving home? Let’s start our journey together—I can’t wait to meet you and be your loyal companion!   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nfrKkcuPUk&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JwExxMEjohV4q2hawhiGaY3 ##2260902##

Story
Quick Facts  Name: Max Age: 4 years old Gender: Male Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Jindo Shiba Inu Mix Color: White All About Me I’m Max, a delightful 4-year-old male Jindo Shiba Inu mix eagerly searching for my forever home. I found myself in a City shelter around November 2020, wandering the streets. Thankfully, I was rescued just before being put down. My PersonalityI’m a people-loving pup with a heart as warm as a summer day. Meeting new faces is one of my favorite things, and I easily make friends with both humans and fellow furry pals. I’m ok with sharing my food with other dogs. I’m polite and greet unfamiliar dogs with a friendly wag and a sniff. Energy and ActivitiesWhile I might pull on the leash a bit (I’m just excited), I’m generally well-behaved during walks. I haven’t had much experience with strolls, so I might need some guidance initially. I have high energy though, after a good walk, I’m more than happy to curl up for a relaxing nap. I’m not a barker and outdoor potty breaks are my preference, so a backyard or regular walks would suit me well. Training and HabitsHaving spent most of my early years in a shelter, I’m ready for some home training adventures! Patient guidance and positive reinforcement will surely bring out the best in me. Special Notes If you’re ready to add a splash of sweetness to your life, I’m the Mango for you! Reach out to the shelter and let them know you’re interested in making me a part of your family.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Max's YouTube Playlist ##2260962##

Story
Quick Facts Name: Jigu  Age: 4 years old  Gender: Female Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Shiba Jindo Mix  Color: Brown  Weight: 18kg    All About MeShe was a dog waiting for euthanasia at a shelter in Cheongju, Korea. But thanks to a warm helping hand, she was rescued and given a new chance at life.Jigu is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, but she is otherwise in good health and adjusting well. She can be a little shy at first and needs time to open up to new people, but she will gently accept treats, even from strangers. Once she warms up she becomes affectionate and enjoys being petted. She tends to bond faster with women and may need a little more time with men. She hasn’t had much experience around young children, so she may need slow and gentle introductions. She also doesn’t like being picked up with arms under her belly, as it makes her feel uncomfortable.   My PersonalityJigu is a calm and smart dog with a balanced energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities, but after a good walk, she’s happy to rest quietly indoors. She’s independent but shows deep affection once trust is built. While she doesn’t guard food from people, she may be cautious if another dog approaches during mealtime so she need own time when she is eating. She also may bark to express her needs or when encountering strangers, but she settles well once she feels secure. She tends to get jealous and would do best as the only pet in the home.   Social SkillsWith people – She needs time to open up but becomes affectionate and enjoys being touched. With children – she may feel a bit unfamiliar with young children and don’t have much experience. With other dogs – She may react if another dog is confrontational, so the first meeting should be supervised and slow. She has little jalouse and prefers to be the only dog in the household. With cats – she hasn't lived with cats, and there are no observed responses.   On My Walks‍Jigu has lots of walking experience and walks very well on a leash without pulling. She enjoys her outdoor time and likes exploring calmly by your side. She prefers to go potty outdoors, though she’s capable of doing so indoors if needed.   Life at HomeJigu is quiet and well behaved. She settles down nicely in a kennel and enjoys having a peaceful space to relax. She doesn’t guard food from people and appreciates a calm mealtime without interruptions. Jigu would thrive in a gentle, stable home where she can adjust at her own pace. With patience and love, she’ll open her heart fully and form a deep connection with her family.   Special NotesFor those who offer her time and understanding, Jigu gives back the kind of trust and love that’s truly special, quiet, loyal, and full of warmth.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Jigu's YouTube Playlist ##2370143##
