Story
Meet Buddy! Buddy is a gentle, sweet 5-year-old Carolina Dog mix with a calm, low-energy personality that makes him an easy companion to love. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would fit right into a home with canine friends—or soak up the love as your only pup. This kind boy is also great with kids and would thrive in a calm household or with a family that has older children. Buddy enjoys cozy moments on the couch just as much as he enjoys getting out for walks or relaxed hikes. He walks beautifully on a leash, making every outing with him peaceful and enjoyable. Buddy already knows how to sit and takes treats with the softest, sweetest manners. With his gentle nature and affectionate heart, he’s ready to be the perfect companion for someone who wants a loyal friend by their side. If you’re looking for a kind, easygoing dog to share life’s quiet moments—and a few adventures—with, Buddy might be your perfect match. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:   Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!   Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!   Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Story
Wednesday is currently in a foster home in HOUSTON, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up. Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio. Once your application has been approved, we'll arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Wednesday. Meet Wednesday! Wednesday and her brother Pugsley were found roaming as strays at a local public school. They both were crossing a busy street and teachers were worried they would get hit by a car. One of the teachers reached out to us for help with getting the 2 off the streets and we were able to take them both in. Wednesday is now in a loving foster home and is flourishing, but she's ready for her forever home! Wednesday is estimated to be about 6 months old (as of 12/13/25) and is fully vaccinated and microchipped. She'll be spayed between 6 months - 1 year of age. Wednesday is a shepherd mix and currently weighs 30 pounds. We do anticipate she will grow to be a medium - large sized pup once she's fully grown. Breed, age & estimated weight are all based off of our vet's best estimate since we don't have any parents to go off of. Wednesday is dog friendly and currently lives with other dogs in her foster home. She enjoys running and playing with her doggie foster siblings. She's young and still has some puppy energy, but her foster mom also describes her as a couch potato who enjoys cuddles on the couch with her human. Wednesday is also cat friendly and currently lives with cats in her foster home. Her foster mom describes her as very calm and says that Wednesday is fine with the cats and doesn't really pay any attention to them. Wednesday is kid friendly and has been around children ages 2 and 8 and she is so sweet and gentle with everyone. Wednesday is potty and crate trained and does well in her crate! She stays in there while her foster mom is away from home for work or errands. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom at night time and is such a good girl. She curls up in bed and sleeps all through the night. Wednesday is still a young pup, so she's still learning to walk on a leash, but she's such a smart girl and a quick learner! Wednesday is great in the car and just sits back and enjoys the ride! Here's a small blurb about Wednesday from her foster mom: Wednesday is the sweetest girl and deserves the best home! She enjoys the company of her human and doggie companions and loves being near you and spending time with you. She's very patient with little kiddos and doesn't pay attention to the cats. She is gentle, sweet and cuddly. She's the perfect companion to take out to a coffee shop and just have her sit at your feet. She truly doesn't know a stranger! We've taken her to multiple events and she loves meeting new people and getting cuddles. She'll make the perfect addition to any loving family! 🐾 Meet Elias! 🐾 This sweet 3-month-old Carolina Dog mix is small in size (just 10 pounds!) but big on love and personality! 💛 Elias is a playful little pup who adores chasing toys, exploring new things, and snuggling up close when it’s time to rest. He’s working hard on house training and doing great for his age — but hey, he’s still a puppy, so a little patience and lots of love will help him keep learning. 🐶✨ Elias would make a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loyal, affectionate puppy to grow up with. Whether you’re ready for playtime, adventures, or cuddles on the couch, Elias is your guy! ❤️

Story
Tawny is a delightful Carolina Dog mix with a heart full of love and an adventurous spirit. There’s nothing she enjoys more than being with her family, making her the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal and affectionate pup. Whether she’s lounging in the sun, playing in the yard, or going on an outdoor adventure, Tawny is always happiest when she’s by your side. This sweet girl rides well in the car and is fantastic on a leash, making her an excellent travel and walking buddy. She absolutely loves water, so if you enjoy hiking, camping, or trips to the lake, Tawny will be right there, ready to join in on the fun. Her favorite backyard pasttime - playing a good game of fetch! She gets along wonderfully with all dogs, making her a great addition to a multi-dog household. She would fit right in with a dog that wants to play. She does have a habit of jumping when excited, so a home without toddlers would be best. She has met cats and hasn't tried to chase. Tawny is very affectionate and thrives on attention and affection. She is still working on her potty training but is making great progress in her foster home. With consistency and patience, she will continue to improve. She is content in a kennel but prefers to be around her family on the couch or bed! Currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, Tawny is looking for a forever home where she can be part of an active and loving family. Her adoption fee is $250 for in-state adopters and an additional $300 for out-of-state transport. If you’re searching for a playful, adventurous, and affectionate companion, Tawny is ready to be your best friend! To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link.
