Story
Wednesday is currently in a foster home in HOUSTON, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up. Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio. Once your application has been approved, we'll arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Wednesday. Meet Wednesday! Wednesday and her brother Pugsley were found roaming as strays at a local public school. They both were crossing a busy street and teachers were worried they would get hit by a car. One of the teachers reached out to us for help with getting the 2 off the streets and we were able to take them both in. Wednesday is now in a loving foster home and is flourishing, but she's ready for her forever home! Wednesday is estimated to be about 6 months old (as of 12/13/25) and is fully vaccinated and microchipped. She'll be spayed between 6 months - 1 year of age. Wednesday is a shepherd mix and currently weighs 30 pounds. We do anticipate she will grow to be a medium - large sized pup once she's fully grown. Breed, age & estimated weight are all based off of our vet's best estimate since we don't have any parents to go off of. Wednesday is dog friendly and currently lives with other dogs in her foster home. She enjoys running and playing with her doggie foster siblings. She's young and still has some puppy energy, but her foster mom also describes her as a couch potato who enjoys cuddles on the couch with her human. Wednesday is also cat friendly and currently lives with cats in her foster home. Her foster mom describes her as very calm and says that Wednesday is fine with the cats and doesn't really pay any attention to them. Wednesday is kid friendly and has been around children ages 2 and 8 and she is so sweet and gentle with everyone. Wednesday is potty and crate trained and does well in her crate! She stays in there while her foster mom is away from home for work or errands. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom at night time and is such a good girl. She curls up in bed and sleeps all through the night. Wednesday is still a young pup, so she's still learning to walk on a leash, but she's such a smart girl and a quick learner! Wednesday is great in the car and just sits back and enjoys the ride! Here's a small blurb about Wednesday from her foster mom: Wednesday is the sweetest girl and deserves the best home! She enjoys the company of her human and doggie companions and loves being near you and spending time with you. She's very patient with little kiddos and doesn't pay attention to the cats. She is gentle, sweet and cuddly. She's the perfect companion to take out to a coffee shop and just have her sit at your feet. She truly doesn't know a stranger! We've taken her to multiple events and she loves meeting new people and getting cuddles. She'll make the perfect addition to any loving family! Snowby's nickname is Snowball. He does a little twirl when going out for a walk. He gets along with most dogs so proper introduction is a must. He is very loyal and loving. He loves to run around with his doggie friends. He loves to sleep next his person(s). He would be be best suited to a household without young children. He is a great walking and car companion. He likes to be part of whatever activity is happening. He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He is ideal for house or apartment living due to his smaller size. He can travel anywhere in the US and Canada. ##1499385##

Hi, I'm Ronnie! I'm a playful, fun-loving dog who loves to be around others. I get along well with most dogs once properly introduced and have lived with cats - I love to bark and chase them in a friendly, playful way. I enjoy kids too and always try to be gentle when playing. I can have fun with all kinds of toys (and even things that aren't toys!). I'm potty-trained, know my basic commands, walk nicely on a leash, and enjoy car rides. If you're looking for a lively, loving companion, I'd love to meet you! This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Axle is a 4 year old big friendly giant. We had adopted him from a military family when my spouse and I first got married. He is the sweetest dog, always kind, very gentle with everyone especially children and gets along with other dogs and loves cats. He is a very big dog, last weighing 90lbs. He is house trained, kennel trained however we don’t require him to sleep in a kennel. Axle is a dog who has a lot of energy and needs the space (backyard, or land) to run on. He is not an apartment dog. We are hoping to find him a loving home with other dogs, or with someone who can give him the attention he needs and provide him with the space he needs to have a good life. We feed him kibble from Costco mixed with some chicken food toppers, and he absolutely loves cheese. He does not bark and is not reactive. Axle will only bark if someone rings the door bell or knocks on the front door. We are really hoping to find a loving home for him

Story
Hi… my name is Buddy 🤎 I’m a 2-year-old Shiba × Jindo mix girl, about 15kg — with little “four-eyes” markings above my eyes that make me look like I’m always gently observing the world. People often notice my face first. My expressions are clear and thoughtful. When I look at you quietly, something about it makes your heart lean a little closer. But my real charm isn’t just how I look — it’s who I am. I’m not a loud or flashy dog. I don’t run wildly around the house or constantly demand attention. Instead, I sit beside you quietly, watching your movements, simply happy sharing the same space. My energy level isn’t very high, so I fit beautifully into calm homes that enjoy peaceful daily life. --- On walks, I move at a steady pace. When I play, I don’t overdo it. I have a balanced, gentle personality. I get along well with other dogs too. I’m not the type to lead the group, but I adjust comfortably and build easy relationships. Because of that, I could live peacefully in a multi-dog home. There is something important you should know about me, though. Home life will be new for me — a house, daily routines with people, rules inside the home, spending time alone. I may not understand everything at first. Potty habits, house manners, daily structure — these are things I will need to learn step by step. So yes, I might make mistakes in the beginning. I might seem a little unsure. But those moments won’t be flaws. They’ll simply be signs that no one has ever had the chance to teach me before. --- What I need is not a family who expects me to adjust overnight. I need a family who will wait — who explains instead of scolds, who guides instead of rushes, who understands that patience builds trust. In the right home, where I feel safe and steady, I will slowly show you more of myself — my quiet affection, my loyalty, my calm companionship. I’m a dog who understands quiet happiness. I don’t need to be the loudest to matter. I don’t need to stand out to be enough. Just being beside you is everything to me. With my little “four-eyes,” I’ve been watching the world carefully. Now, I’m hoping to look at just one person — my person — and walk beside them for the rest of my life. Will you move at my pace and build our first home together? 🐾🤍

Story
Hi, my name is Haerang 🐾 I’m a 3-year-old male Shiba–Welsh mix, weighing about 7kg. I have a slim body, short little legs, and bright, sparkling eyes that people often fall in love with right away. I was rescued from a shelter where euthanasia was taking place. Before that, I spent a long time in a shelter environment where I didn’t get many chances to experience the world. I was very shy and fearful back then, often hiding quietly on my own. But I’ve changed a lot since then. As I learned what human warmth feels like, I slowly opened my heart. Now, I truly love people. When you call my name, I’ll happily roll over and show you my belly, wiggling my way toward you for affection. I have a very gentle, calm, and stable personality, and being with me tends to make people feel relaxed and at ease without even realizing it. My favorite thing in the world is my person. I can coexist peacefully with other dogs and even cats, but I’m more of a “one-on-one” kind of guy. I’m happiest in a quiet, calm home where I can enjoy peaceful time with my family rather than a busy, crowded environment. I already know the command “house,” I walk nicely on leash, and I do well riding in the car too. With potty training, I might have a few small accidents in a brand-new environment, but I’m very steady and gentle by nature—if you guide me patiently and kindly, I’ll learn just fine. In unfamiliar places, I may seem a little timid at first. But give me some time, and I’ll be the one coming to you, asking for love. Before you know it, I’ll be following you everywhere like your little shadow—your loyal, affectionate “velcro dog.” I’m not a dog who adjusts instantly. I’m a dog who blossoms when someone waits for me and believes in me. I’ve been learning to trust human arms again, and now I’m ready to give my whole heart to one forever family. If you’re looking for a quiet, gentle companion who will stay close by your side for life, I’m right here—waiting just for you. 💛

Story
Hi… my name is Maesil 🍃 I’m a 1-year-old Shiba × Jindo mix girl, about 10kg — small, bright, and just beginning my real life. I was rescued from a dog meat farm. Since the day I was born, I knew metal bars and loud, unfamiliar noises before I ever knew gentle hands. I spent more time enduring than learning, more time surviving than living. So when we first meet, I might be just a little cautious. But it’s not fear that fills my heart. It’s more like I’m softly asking, “Is this okay? Are you safe?” With one treat and one kind voice, my question melts away. I’ll carefully step closer… and before you know it, my tail will be wagging just for you. --- Once I open up, I’m actually very affectionate. I love sitting close beside my person, looking into your eyes, and asking for attention in the sweetest ways. It almost feels like I instinctively know how to love — I just needed the chance to show it. I get along very well with other dogs my age. I enjoy playing and being part of a group. My energy is bright and healthy, and I carry a natural cheerfulness inside me. And walks? I absolutely love them. When I step outside, the whole world feels magical. Every sound, every breeze, every scent on the ground — it’s all new and fascinating. I haven’t been out in the world for very long, so everything is a discovery. The street noises, passing people, the wind brushing my fur… it’s my first time experiencing it all. --- That also means home life is new to me — living inside a house, learning potty routines, understanding daily rhythms, spending time alone calmly, and learning the rules of living with people. No one has had the chance to teach me these things yet. So I will need patience. I will need guidance. I will need someone who teaches me slowly from the very beginning. But please don’t worry — I truly want to learn. I listen. I pay attention. I try. If you guide me with love instead of scolding, with patience instead of rushing, I promise I will grow into a stable and trustworthy companion. --- I’m still young, and I’ve only just begun my “ordinary” life. I’m waiting to become someone’s joy — someone’s walking partner, someone who shares the start and end of each day. Will you be the family who teaches me all my firsts? Will you fill my world with love instead of fear? If you walk beside me from the beginning, I will stay beside you for the rest of my life. 🐾🤍
