Hey there Delilah, what's it like in Kitty City? Delilah was found locked in a closet in an abandoned rental. Thankfully she landed in good hands who took care of her and got her into the rescue. Despite the cruelty she experienced, Delilah is a very sweet girl who loves people and attention. She enjoys playing with toys, rubbing on your legs, getting pets (on her own terms, though, of course) and meowing for treats. She is a little under a year old. Delilah is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, defleaed, dewormed and fecal tested. Stevie is an older adult cat who was rescued from euthanasia in July of 2024. She was confiscated from a hoarding situation with many other cats. Stevie LOVES people but pretends to be shy! Once she's comfortable with you, her purrs can be heard throughout the room and she even coos like a dove. She loves pets, butt scratches, and wet food. She just needs time to feel safe with you first. Stevie has an adhesion in one of her eyes likely from infection at one point, but she has been medically cleared and it doesn't affect her sight! Meet Nellie!! Nellie is an approximately 1 year old black domestic short hair. She is full grown and weighs 7.5 pounds. She came into the rescue in mid-October after walking into her foster parent’s garage. All of the efforts were made to reunite her with her owners but with zero luck. Nellie is extremely affectionate with people. She gets along great with other cats and tolerates dogs. She can easily live in a home with dogs who don’t care about cats, but she does tend to hiss at them if they get too close. However, this has gotten much better while in her foster home. She has done great with a feeding routine and has had no issues with using a litter box. When Nellie was found she had a major skin infection on her stomach. After a few rounds of antibiotics and steroids she is healed up and ready to find her new home! Nellie's adoption fee is $75 and she will come fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. If you’re looking for a new best friend who lives life with 110% enthusiasm about everything, makes biscuits at the speed of a commercial bakery, and has a purr as loud as a hybrid engine, Hozier is your guy! Hozier was found with severe injuries that required the amputation of his rear right leg. A subsequent infection of his incision site required another surgery. Through it all, Hozier remained an absolute ray of sunshine and won the hearts of everyone who met him.  Hozier’s quickly learned how much he loves to play! He especially likes toys he can bat to chase and wand toys. Squeeze treats are his favorite. When he takes a moment to relax, he’s a snuggle bug. He loves to cozy up on a lap! Hozier’s met the other cats in his foster home and shows an interest in them. While he occasionally struggles with phantom limb pain and is a little hesitant about jumping, he’s done a fantastic job of adjusting to life as a tripod. Paisley is looking for her forever home! She is a very sweet, gentle, quiet young adult cat. She takes a little bit of time to warm up, but once she does, she is very affectionate, purrs a lot, loves rubbing on your legs, and enjoys pets. She also likes sitting on the cat tree looking out the window. She does hide a lot of the time, but that's just what helps her feel safe! She would probably do best in a calmer home. Paisley came to us with stones in her bladder and needed surgery to remove them. She is on a prescription urinary care food and would need to stay on urinary care food for life unless advised otherwise by a veterinarian. Meet Bart! Bart is a loveable 4-year-old ex-tomcat who loves attention and playtime. he could play with string toys and toy mice for days. he has BIG cheeks and an even bigger heart! he loves people and receiving alll the pets and scratches, although he does give warning bites when he’s ready for some space. Bart is currently on a prescription diet (z/d hydrolyzed protein) with probiotics (fortiflora) because he was having persistent loose stools following antibiotics. his stools are healthy now and he will probably be able to transition off this diet with the guidance of a veterinarian! Bart is also FIV+. FIV has a lot of stigma but is not known to shorten a cat’s lifespan and is usually not a very big deal. it spreads to other cats via deep bites (not playful bites), so a slow, proper introduction would be important to ensure no aggressive fighting occurs in a home with other cats.
