Lucy is a sweet, calm 6-year-old domestic shorthair who has been part of our family for years. She’s spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and sadly, we’re having to find her a new home because we’ll be moving in the future.Lucy is such a sweet girl and really enjoys having a quiet, peaceful space to call her own. She would do best in a calm home where she can have some room to herself and take things at her own pace. She has lived with other cats her whole life and can do well with them once she gets comfortable, but she definitely prefers having her own space.Lucy does have some litter box preferences, and if those needs aren’t met, she may sometimes go outside the box. We want to be honest about that so she can find someone patient and understanding.This is incredibly hard for us because Lucy is loved so much. More than anything, we want her next home to be one where comfortable, and loved for the sweet girl she is 🤍

She does take a little while to warm up to a new space and people, but once she's able to feel comfortable and confident, she loves to explore, nap, and watch the world go by through the windows. While Willow is dog- and cat-friendly, she would do best in a calmer environment, as she's previously been overwhelmed by living with too many other pets, but will happily make friends with other respectful pets. She is a very independent girl, finding hiding places to sleep during the day or watching the room from her window perch, and will come rub up against my hands or legs when she wants affection. She's also been finding her voice more lately and will pepper me with the cutest little meows when she needs something or simply just wants a little attention. She also sleeps next to me in bed at night, often in between my legs or curled up next to me. Quick movements tend to frighten Willow and she's quick to dart away from loud or moving people. However, as she's gotten more comfortable around my family and home, this has gotten much better with a little time and patience. Willow would be a great cat for someone who has a busy schedule, as she's happy to spend time alone when necessary and then catch up at the end of the day with some love and affection. She'll let you know she missed you with some happy meows and a bump of her head against your hand. (Her adopter will also get her automatic feeder, which you can program to feed her at certain times every day!) He has been an absolute joy to have in our home. Bert would do well in a home with children who are calm and respectful. Because he is a bit more sensitive to loud noises and quick movement, he would also do well in a home that provides him with stability and routine. Bert is one of the sweetest cats I have ever met! About Me: Hi, I'm Bert! I tend to find a quiet, dark spot during the day to rest. Currently, that is in my foster mom's closet on top of her bookcase behind her hanging clothes. I sleep with my foster mom or sister at night; she's 14 and loves me so much! The other 2 resident cats are starting to accept me. I'm very respectful towards them. She was found abandoned, underweight, and sick from both injuries as well as infections. The kind lady who found her kept her in a garden shed until we took her in as a foster.  Velvet is very food motivated; loves to play with the other one year old kitten we have and she is fearless! She approaches all five of our cats and two dogs with interest, curiosity and really wants to cuddle with the dogs who each are 60-70 pounds each. She would do best in a home with at least one more cat to play with and would enjoy cat tolerant dogs if they were in the household. She is the energizer bunny, though over the last few weeks has finally slowed down to enjoy naps with, and pets from humans. She is in the process of learning boundaries, as she can get into the other animal’s space and doesn’t respond to their clues to “move along”. She loves her cat condo and is an impressive climber. She only scratches on her cat condo and has never failed to use the litter box.  About Me: Hi I’m Velvet! I am a “rambunctious bundle of joy”, or so my foster mom says. I love to sit on her lap for pets and sit behind her on the couch when I nap with my paws up against her. She serves the BEST kitten food ever! I used to not have food, so I do love feeding times! The beginning of my life was not very good. I don’t dwell on it, but I was very sick when someone finally listened to my cries for help. Since then, I just love the world! I have a play buddy here and we wrestle and tumble, having so much fun. I like having the other animals around and the big fluffy cat holds me down and licks me! The dogs are so calm all the time, so I try to bring excitement to their lives. They aren’t so sure about that, but I think they are great! I love sitting in the windows and chittering at the birds outside. Everything is an adventure! I would love to find a forever home with another or few animal friends I can play with and spend time with. I would be lonely alone, I think. With slow introductions, I think we would learn to be buddies. I do enjoy people but ones that don’t try to force me to do things at their pace. I learn quickly but want to do it at my own speed.
