Gandoff & his brother Merlin were transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. First off, let me assure you that we know his name is spelt incorrectly, but since his previous shelter spelled his name this way, we have to keep it. Now that that's out of the way, meet Gandoff! This big beefy fellow - weighing in at almost 18 pounds - is the shy brother of the pair. He has spent most of his time with us hiding in his favorite cubby hole. We suspect that it is the hustle & bustle of shelter life that is bothering him - his previous home was a much quieter environment, and we believe that Gandoff would prefer a calmer household. That's right, Drago is a loverboy who adores spending time with humans. He is social, outgoing, and always ready to make new friends. At six years old, Drago is a mature gentleman who will still show off his playful side when he's feeling silly. He likes fuzzy mouse toys, and he finds the crinkly brown paper that comes in Amazon packages irresistible. Since he is also a huge fan of snack treats, he'd probably love it if someone sprinkled cat treats in the crinkly paper & then let him hunt for them while playing. Lightning was transferred to the NHSPCA from a foster home in Texas. She is a glamourous and tenderhearted senior lady who has been through a lot in the last few months. Our purrfect girl was the beloved pet of an adoring owner who unexpectedly passed away. Lightning suddenly found herself without the person she trusted most and she is now hoping for a fur-ever home where she can feel safe again. Despite the big changes in her world, Lightning is adjusting well. She's friendly & likes humans, but she can be shy at first and will need an understanding adopter to give her the time & patience she deserves. Once she feels comfortable, her gentle purrsonality truly shines. Lightning would do well as a solo kitty or with another kitty companion.
