Story
Gotcha is a 8.5 year old boy who came to us from a home that could no longer care for him. Adorable Gotcha would love to be your new friend! This friendly boy adores attention and showers his people with head bonks and snuggles. He would be a perfect companion for someone who enjoys a cozy night with a good book. He can be timid when meeting new people, but once he realizes pats are on the table, he warms up quickly. Gotcha loves being patted! He has a cute little meow and enjoys mealtime chats. Gotcha likes the company of other cats and is also great with the small dog in his foster home. This handsome boy is a real catch! Gotcha is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Gotcha has been diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetes is a condition where a cat cannot regulate their own blood sugar due to an inability to make enough insulin. Our adoption counselor would be happy to chat with your more about Gotcha and any questions you may have about diabetes. Adoption Fee: $175 If you have already submitted an application with us, you do not need to do another one, please email adoptioncounselor@mrfrs.org if you are interested in adopting Gotcha. We will take inquiries on a first come, first served basis via email. If you have not completed our questionnaire, please do so here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MER/Cat

Story
Buttercup is a sweet, just-over-a-year-old kitty who’s looking for a calm, understanding home to call her own. She’s quite shy and will do best in a quiet household with someone who truly understands that trust takes time. Buttercup may need weeks—or even months—to fully come out of her shell, and that’s okay. Gentle voices, slow movements, and a patient heart will help her feel safe and secure. Once she starts to trust you, she will accept gentle pets and will headbutt you for more. While she may not be the type to seek immediate attention, Buttercup has the potential to blossom into a loving companion once she knows she’s safe. For the right person willing to go at her pace, watching Buttercup gain confidence will be incredibly rewarding. Does Buttercup sound like the right fit for you?Apply for her today at capeannanimalaid.org/catapp
