Story
Eva is a loving wonderful girl that just needs a better space with one person. We currently have Eva and two other cats, which was fine for a really long time. Eva is a one-person-cat which we are not. She wants and needs to be just the one cat. We aren't able to afford this for her at this time as we have the two other cats and three small dogs. If you feel you are the right fit for Eva she would love that! She just needs her own space, not with other cats and dogs. Just her one person to love her, and snuggle. She is absolutely gorgeous for sure! Eva is litter box trained but with wee wee pads not litter. She doesn't like litter for whatever reason. Eva, eats well. Mostly dry food, Royal Canin, and also Royal Canin wet food. She is not aggressive and does get along fine with with dogs but I feel it would be better for her to live in a home without other dogs or cats going forward. Must be an indoor cat, has never been outdoors. Please reach out if you're interest

Story
Meet Sophie! This little lady loves chin scratches and head rubs. She is very affectionate and loving but can get a bit overwhelmed with pats so a home where her boundaries are respected and understood would be best. She`s a very sweet girl, but emotions can be hard sometimes and she handles it the only way she knows how. Someone who is knowledgeable of cat body language and is patient enough to give her space and time to acclimate on her own would be perfect. Sophie would thrive in a calm, single-resident or single-couple home, as we don`t feel she would do well with children or in a high-traffic household. Sounds like somebody you could love? Sophie is now part of our extended stay program and her adoption fee has been reduced!Fill out an application today!Apply for Sophie today at: capeannanimalaid.org/catapp

Story
Majic is a beautiful, gentle boy just over 2 years old with a story that tugs at the heart. He arrived at the shelter after being left behind in an apartment with his brother, Panther. Understandably, he’s a bit shy and nervous in this new environment, but underneath that uncertainty is an incredibly sweet and loving cat waiting for the right person to help him feel secure. Majic has previously lived with both cats and dogs and has done great with them, making him a wonderful candidate for a home with other calm, friendly pets. And while he and Panther aren’t considered a bonded pair, the two brothers share a strong connection and would be more than happy to start their new life together if someone can open their home to both. Majic is considered a special-needs adoption because he has a heart murmur. At this time, he appears comfortable and unaffected, but he will need monitoring for symptoms such as coughing, exercise intolerance, or difficulty breathing. An echocardiogram and a cardiology consultation should be discussed with your veterinarian to fully understand and manage his condition. Majic is ready to put his past behind him and begin a new chapter with someone kind, loving and devoted to giving him the safe, happy home he deserves. Could that someone be you?Apply for him today at capeannanimalaid.org/cat app

Story
Meet Mister Misty, a gentle 3-year-old soul in search of a very special kind of home. This sweet boy was surrendered after his owner had to move and couldn’t bring him along, a heartbreaking change has left him feeling unsure, shy, overwhelmed, and a bit shut down here at the shelter. Underneath that worry, though, is a cat who truly wants to feel safe, understood, and loved again. Mister Misty is hoping for a quiet, calm environment—ideally a single-person home where he can take his time and hopefully one day build a deep bond with one special human. He has previously lived with another cat, and may do well in a single-person home with a calm feline companion he can eventually befriend. What he needs most is someone who will offer him consistency, gentleness, and, above all, patience. The most important part of his next journey will be patience—lots of it. The 3/3/3 rule is an essential guide for Mister Misty’s transition:• 3 days to decompress• 3 weeks to adjust to a new routine• 3 months to settle in and feel truly safeMister Misty knows it may take a lot of time for him to build trust, but he’s hopefully on his way to finding the one person who understands him. With a calm home, gentle routines, and someone who’s willing to move at his pace, he can slowly begin to feel safe again. It won’t happen overnight—but for the right person, watching him grow braver, settle in, and finally choose to trust will be an incredibly meaningful experience. Hopefully, with patience and love, Mister Misty will one day feel truly home.If your willing to give Mister Misty the patience & time he needs apply here today at: capeannanimalaid.org/catapp
