Story
Casper is a handsome, solid white, shorthair ( tail-less) cat that is for a CAT SAVVY individual! He's very intelligent and resourceful and has a lot of "outdoor stray" kitty skills! He was brought into a S. Carolina County shelter & never claimed. He is very athletic and requires a good amount of mental stimulation such as running around the house, climbing a kitty tree, playing with balls, stuffy toys, catnip mice and kitty game puzzles! He sometimes gets very rambunctious and he will mouth your hand a little bit, but he is a fresh and feisty boy not meaning any harm! He simply doesn't know how to be a household pet (but we have been working on this). He loves human companionship and seeks out human attention and affection. He is a gymnast for sure, curious and quick and he would most assuredly be a very good housemate that would keep your indoor premises free of rodents! Casper must remain an indoor cat, he enjoys sitting in the window to admire the view and watch the birds! He is a solid built boy, a very good eater and likes his kitty snacks! He will play with the interactive ring toy with the balls and also likes catnip mice, jingle balls and the bungee cord toy with the feathers! He will play with almost any toy, whether it be intended for cat or dog, and he is able to amuse himself for a long periods of time. He has accompanied me on trips via car to the stores (in a cat carry bag) and he is not easily frightened by outdoor noises. Although he has tolerated the small dogs (very laid back dogs!) he does enjoy chasing them around in circles (& vise versa) but he has a tendency to play "rough". He has a tendency to play roughly with other cats and therefore, it would be better that he be an only pet. We also feel that due to his very rough play nature that he be in a home with NO CHILDREN. He is neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped!

Story
Beautiful Schnee ("Snow") is an affectionate and loving boy! He came to us via rescue, as his previous family surrendered him to a shelter due to his being DEAF. Due to his handicap, he has some misunderstood behaviors which prove difficult for some individuals to cope. Firstly, he can startle easily if he does not know that you are there. and prefers you to approach him within his direct view. He has built up a trust with us and knows that we have been compassionate, loving, and patient. He no longer does this with us. We hold him and hug him daily, and he has relaxed and has bonded with us. He is very affectionate and sweet natured, and loves making the "biscuits" in his comfy bed or on your bed as well! He will purr very loudly when you are holding him and snuggling and he will let you know when he's had enough. Also, he requires mental stimulation during the day that he takes in through his other senses. He has a small ball that lights up and flashes different colors and of course, it fascinates him! We have provided toys to him that move, have bright colors, and vibrate instead of making any noise. He very much enjoys sitting where he may stare out the window for hours, just watching birds and other wildlife in the meadow. At night, when it is dark and he does not see people walking around, he feels insecure and will howl incessantly until he sees someone. He now wears a close fitting sweater or shirt all the time, and this makes him feel more secure. He has gotten along with a small, gentle Chihuahua, but we thinks it's best that he not have a dog in his home. He has gotten along with another cat, but he startles if another cat approaches from behind and become frightened. A home with NO CHILDREN or CHILDREN that visit often (as his behaviors can be unpredictable) and low activity home is necessary. He must wear a GPS tracking collar(goodness forbid!)in case he should ever escape the house... as he would become very frightened an difficult to find. A very special home is necessary for this sweet, very special boy. He is microchipped, neutered, and UTD on all shots.

Story
Fig is one of six beautiful young cats who are all related or close friends. They are 8-10 months old, except for mama Hope who is 2-years-old. We will only adopt these cats out in pairs. These kitties were rescued when they were already half-grown. They are still shy of being petted, although they enjoy human company and playtime. They will need cat-savvy, loving homes where they can continue to deepen their trust in humans. With a little time and patience they will become loving pets in the right hands. Food is the way to their hearts. Fig is a very handsome long-haired tuxedo boy. Once he comes out of hiding, he is a goofy, playful chap. Hope is the 2-year-old mother and auntie of the younger cats. They all love and respect her. She is the shyest of the group, but there is something very endearing about Hope and her gentle presence. She has gone through very hard times and would love to be in a safe and caring home. Winnie is a gorgeous long-haired calico girl who likes to lounge on a cat tree like a princess. Dahlia is an orange/white longhair girl with beautiful amber eyes. She purrs up a storm when her caretakers visit. She wants to be close and will soon dare to be petted. Brie is a sweet little calico girl and the most outgoing of the group. She is very curious, always first at the door when meals are offered or when interesting things are happening. Ariel is a very observant, bright little tortoiseshell girl. She likes to lie on a high wall shelf and slow-blink with you from a safe distance. She loves to explore new spaces and find out what's going on. You can visit these cats in the 'Romper Room' at Kingdom Animal Shelter on Saturdays from noon-3pm. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a 'same day' adoption shelter. Story
Ozzy is an affectionate 1.5-year-old little guy who likes to snuggle and play. He is very handsome with his shiny tuxedo coat. Ozzy is a sweet, energetic young boy who loves attention and being around people. He is an explorer, always busy looking for new places and things to discover. He is still quite young, and a little insecure. He likes to be loved on, reassured, and played-with. Ozzy is not a couch potato. He would love a home with people who like to relate to an affectionate, active cat as part of their family. At the Shelter he gets worried and stressed around other cats. Therefore he would do best as the only cat in his new home. You can meet Ozzy at Kingdom Animal Shelter on Saturdays from noon to 3pm.
