Story
Wisp is an active and playful girl, she loves bounding around the room, playing with any toy she can find. She is active on the exercise wheel and will run on it at the same time with both of her brothers. This beautiful house panther will fill your home with entertainment. She is a chatty girl when she greets you and asks to be held. She is looking for a home where she will have a playmate of another kitten or YOUNG cat that will want to play with her. She will settle down after playtime and will let you hold her. Are you ready for a little excitement in your life? Wisp will fill that void for you. She has 2 brothers if you are looking for a fantastic pair! _______________________________ Considering adoption? Start by filling out our online application (copy and paste the following link) https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DIX/Cat Once submitted, we’ll review it and reach out to approved applicants by phone or email. A Petfinder Inquiry is not the same as an application - COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a generated confirmation email. DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY READY TO ADOPT. All of our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. We facilitate adoptions through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY. Our dogs travel in comfort with 24/7 care. We have been facilitating long distance adoptions since 2019. ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible. *** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents

Story
If you have ever dreamed of a cat who will curl up beside you, melt into your hands, and purr like you are her whole world — you need to meet Ulani. She is the kind of kitten who doesn’t just tolerate affection… she lives for it. The moment you start petting her, she softens completely, leaning into your touch, eyes half-closed, purring like the happiest little engine. She will stay there as long as you let her, completely content just being loved. If you’re someone who wants a true cuddle companion, Ulani is that girl. Ulani is about five months old and already has the sweetest, gentlest personality. She isn’t overly wild or chaotic — she’s affectionate in the most genuine, heart-melting way. When I spent time with her, she laid with me the entire time, happily soaking up pets and attention. Later, she cuddled with me in bed like she had always belonged there. It wasn’t just cute — it was comforting. She makes you feel chosen. She absolutely thrives on physical affection. Pet her, scratch her little head, rub her back — she will reward you with nonstop purrs and the softest little nuzzles. She would do wonderfully in a home with someone who truly enjoys bonding with their cat through touch and closeness. If you’re the type of person who talks to your cat, lets them sleep beside you, and wants a constant cozy presence, Ulani will fit into your life beautifully. At just five months old, she still has that youthful sweetness and curiosity, but her personality leans heavily toward calm affection and companionship. She isn’t just a kitten you watch from across the room — she wants to be with you, next to you, touching you, part of your everyday moments. Ulani is more than just a sweet cat — she’s the kind of companion who makes a house feel warmer. The kind who greets you softly, curls up beside you at night, and reminds you how special it is to share your life with a gentle soul. If you’ve been hoping for a loving, cuddly, purring best friend, Ulani is waiting for you. And once she curls up in your arms, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without her. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.  We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Handsome Miss Lucy is an indoor-outdoor two-and-a-half-year-old who loves sleeping in the crook of your legs at night or on your chest as you watch TV. An expert huntress, she will bring you a variety of gifts as proof of her devotion. She's used to a free-access cat door for three seasons of the year, so you will only have to clean the litter box in winter. Toys for her are anything on the counter that you don't want scooted onto the floor, dangly chains, or catnip scattered in an empty Amazon box. She was raised from a kitten with a big dog who loved to boss her around, but she loved her dog and will likely do well with another cat-friendly canine. She is used to having her nails clipped, comes when called, and is always up for a conversation with you. Hidden talents include opening doors you thought were closed tightly and responding quickly to just being shown a squirt bottle. We will truly miss her.

Story
Henry is a mild-mannered gentleman of 11 in good health who enjoys his time outside in warmer weather as much as he does snuggling up to you in bed. We've loved hearing him lightly snore beside us in bed. Last year, we adopted him from a friend who could no longer keep him. She had raised him from a kitten with two big dogs. He has a goofy, creaky meow that he uses to call his neighborhood pals, is completely tolerant of having his nails clipped, and loves a sunny windowsill. He is very much a lap cat who loves to give you a good kneading to let you know it's time to get down to the business of petting him. He’s used to a free-access cat door for three seasons of the year, so you will only have to clean the litter box in winter. He has a serious little face with black spots on his lips and a nubbly tail tip. Like many senior cats, he benefits from having a urinary tract health canned food mixed in with a regular dry food. He enjoys a dose of catnip now and again.
