Story
Henry is a mild-mannered gentleman of 11 in good health who enjoys his time outside in warmer weather as much as he does snuggling up to you in bed. We've loved hearing him lightly snore beside us in bed. Last year, we adopted him from a friend who could no longer keep him. She had raised him from a kitten with two big dogs. He has a goofy, creaky meow that he uses to call his neighborhood pals, is completely tolerant of having his nails clipped, and loves a sunny windowsill. He is very much a lap cat who loves to give you a good kneading to let you know it's time to get down to the business of petting him. He's good with a cat door. He has a serious face with black spots on his lips and a nubbly tail tip. Like many senior cats, he benefits from having a urinary tract health canned food mixed in with his regular dry food. He enjoys a dose of catnip now and again.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.facebook.com/ThreeLittlePittiesRescueSavingKitties/ https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue/ *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $87 surcharge for transport. Story
Mr. Char-Char, A.K.A. Charlie, is a playful, indoor-outdoor two-and-a-half-year-old. He was adopted from the Humane Society when he was seven months old. He is almost a "barn cat," as he loves his outdoor time even in winter. Incredibly friendly, he visits the neighbors regularly. He uses cat doors to let himself in and out. His meow is quiet; he was raised with a big dog who loved to herd him, and he got along well with both a senior cat and one his own age. He is used to having his nails trimmed. He loves having his face scratched, but he's not one who needs or wants cuddles regularly. When he does want your attention, he reclines or sits on his hind legs while waving his mittened paws at you. His fur is especially soft, and, yes, he's an excellent mouser. He has a thick, floppy raccoon tail and a wide-eyed expression.

Story
Meet Persia! This beautiful two-year-old calico is equal parts sweet and stunning. Persia came to us as a stray, so her story before the shelter is a mystery — but it hasn't taken long for her true personality to shine through. She loves attention and is quick to lean into a good petting session once she feels comfortable. As with many cats who've spent time on their own, Persia will need a little patience as she finds her footing in a new home. She's not the type to walk in and immediately own the place, but given a gentle introduction and some time to settle in, we believe she has the potential to get along with cats, dogs, and even children. The key with Persia is simply slowing down and letting her set the pace — and trust us, the payoff is absolutely worth it. Persia is the kind of cat who will blossom into a devoted companion for the right family. If you have a little extra love and patience to offer, she is ready to soak it all up and give it right back. Ready to let Persia write her next chapter with you? Come say hello!

Story
Jaxon and Teddy Bear are a feline pair who came to CVHS when their owner went into a nursing home. Being older gentlemen, they seek a calmer home to live out their golden years. Relatives who knew these felines were unable to take them in as these cats do not want to live with dogs. Both boys can be bashful, and move about their colony room quickly and stealthily. They are only familiar being indoors-only, and have not been exposed to other felines, canines or children. Based on their personalities we have seen here; they would appreciate a home free of dogs and children. We believe with proper introduction, they could live with another senior feline like themselves, and we do feel they would enjoy going into a home together.
