Good with kids, Needs special attention,
Story
Meet this sweet and gentle girl with unique features. She has bent "cauliflower" ears. Because of this, she’s listed as special needs, but the good news is that it’s mostly cosmetic. It is unlikely to affect her overall quality of life. She’ll just need is a family who can occasionally monitor her ears and help keep them clean. She’s a shy kitty at first, but she has a wonderfully tolerant and easygoing personality. Even when she’s feeling a little unsure, she allows herself to be picked up and handled, showing just how trusting and gentle she truly is. With a little patience and a calm home, she’ll continue to blossom and gain confidence. All she’s really looking for is a caring home that will appreciate her gentle nature and give her the loving life she deserves.

Story
Meet Yuzu – Your Chatty Little Ray of Sunshine 🍊 Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Yuzu’s story started with a bit of heartbreak. We believe she was dumped by her previous owner near a local colony of stray cats. She was very scared all alone outside, but luckily she quickly found someone she could trust... her finder and foster mom. Yuzu immediately ran up and did some REAL big meows, rolling around for attention and food. After just a couple days of feeding her, she was happily scooped up and taken home for a new chance at happiness. Despite that rough start, Yuzu has the sweetest, most loving spirit you could imagine. This gentle girl adores people, and will make an amazing snuggle buddy. When she’s not cuddling, Yuzu enjoys playtime—especially with catnip toys, which bring out her mischievous side! She also never says no to her favorite wet food and will eagerly come running when it’s mealtime. Yuzu is quite the little conversationalist. If you talk to her, she’ll “talk” right back with cute little mews and chirps. She also has a phenomenal “elevator booty” and a heart-melting habit of hiding her face when she’s really excited. She’ll bury her nose in her blankie when she’s getting really good butt scratches, or she’ll press her head up against your neck when she’s happy. And of course, she’s absolutely beautiful. Yuzu has stunning bright green eyes, an adorable little smudge on her nose and cheek, and a gorgeous agouti coat (also known as a ticked tabby) with rich dark red undertones that make her outer beauty match her unique and perfect personality. — Yuzu is a petite girl and vets have had varying estimates on her age from ~2 years to 5 years old. Regardless of where she falls in that range, she is happy, healthy, playful, and cute as a button! She is also spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV! She has been living with other cats in her foster home and has tolerated them well so far. We think she would love a kitty friend in her forever home, especially since she’s still very young and playful. Yuzu has never met a dog, but with slow and careful introductions with a cat-savvy dog, she could get along with a pup sibling. Could Yuzu be the little ray of sunshine your home is missing? 💛 ---

Yuzu is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES:

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts!

Story
Meet Chanel No. 5 🖤✨ Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Just like her namesake, Chanel No. 5 is timeless, elegant, and impossible to forget. This stunning all-black beauty has a sleek, glossy coat that shines like satin and a personality that will absolutely steal your heart. Chanel’s story started on the streets, where she was originally trapped to be spayed and returned as part of a TNR program. But the moment rescuers met her, it was clear this girl had other plans. She was far too friendly and chatty to go back outside! Instead, she asked—very politely and very persistently—for a cozy indoor life… and we’re so glad she did. Since coming inside, Chanel has blossomed into even more of a lovebug. She adores people and has a magical ability to charm anyone into giving her pets (and probably a few extra treats too). She’s talkative, affectionate, and always happy to keep you company. When she’s not busy winning hearts, Chanel enjoys batting at wand toys and string toys like a tiny panther in training. And after playtime? You’ll likely find her relaxing in her favorite hammock, living the luxurious life she was clearly meant for. Her name fits her perfectly: this former street kitty now expects—and deserves—the very best. A soft place to nap, plenty of affection, and a forever family to adore her. If you’re looking for a cat with beauty, personality, and just the right touch of glamour, Chanel No. 5 is ready to make your home her runway. 🐾 --- Chanel is approximately 2.5 years old, spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and in perfect health! She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy, all she needs now is her forever home. She has been living with other cats in her foster home and has tolerated them well so far. We think she would appreciate having a kitty friend to play with, but she would also do just fine as an only cat. Chanel has never met a dog, but with slow and careful introductions with a cat-savvy dog, she could get along with a pup sibling. ---

Story
Nina is a very sweet girl who arrived to us as a stray. A kind person had been feeding her since last year and wanted her to have a chance at a better life. Nina has been friendly and engaging since arriving but we can tell that she is still working on her confidence. We are hoping to find her an indoor only home, but she would have the longterm potential to be indoor/outdoor if she so chooses. We know she will make someone an excellent companion.

Story
Sweet Gracie has been through a lot lately. Her owner recently passed away and she has spent a lot of time alone since then. Since arriving at the shelter she has been very docile and shy. We're determined to shower her with love and affection and give her all the patience she needs for her to start to feel safe and confident again. We are looking for a home that can do that for her as well, we know she'll be worth it.

Story
If you’re looking for a cat who brings the heat and the heart, meet Flareon. She’s a stunning yellow tabby with a coat as bright as her personality and enough energy to power a small city. The Stats • Energy Level: High Always ready for a "boss battle" with a feather wand. • Special Ability: Flash Fire. She can go from a deep nap to a high speed parkour session in 0.5 seconds if she hears a toy crinkle. • Signature Move: Lava Leap. Her vertical jump is legendary no toy is safe when she’s in the zone. Flareon isn't just a cat; she’s an experience. Whether she’s practicing her pounce or investigating a new box, she does everything with 100\% intensity. She needs someone who has a steady supply of toys and a lap ready for when she finally decides to "power down" for a nap.
