Not good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
6 month old feral kitten was found during the -30F weather we had a few weeks ago. We caught her and brought her inside to keep from freezing, and have been caring for her since. This cat has quickly warmed up to people, and is a good lap cat. We originally took her in to a TNR program for spay and rabies shot. Later, we were able to get her to our vet for a full check-up. In good physical health - just minor frost-bite to the tip of the one ear. However, she did test positive for Feline Leukemia virus. As such, she needs to be an indoor only cat. She has been kept isolated from our other cats by means of a large wire cage, and she took straight to the litter box in it. Since she has her adult teeth in, our vet placed her age at least 6 months, but no more than a year. I would say it's on the younger side. This is a really sweet little animal, and I'm sad to say that we can't provide a home for her, but we will continue to foster until we can find her permanent home.

Story
We got Gracie from a shelter 10 years ago and at that time they thought she was 8. I do not think she was 8 because today she does not act like an OLD cat. She talks and is friendly. We had a dog (30 pound Shitzapoo named Jack) and the two of them were best friends. Jack and Gracie would lick and groom each other. Jack died last year at 17. We love Gracie but our daughter is in need of a home and needs to move in. She is violently allergic to cats and dogs. So we need a place for Gracie for her final few years. She is a great cat. Her only challenge is her eyesight is not fantastic but she navigates our home just fine. Please help. Our daughter needs to move in in a couple weeks. Thanks much!

Story
Hi, I'm Derek and I was transferred from another shelter to make room for a cat there. How lucky was I because the vet at HAWS saw I needed help with my eyelids. I had my eyebrows shaved before surgery so I am not at my "finest looking" stage in life, but my fur is starting to grow back and my eyes are getting less cloudy. I have a clean bill of health and I'm ready for a home again. I'm not bragging, but I am a favorite of the cat cuddler volunteers who have been loving me for the last 4+ weeks. Maybe it's my luxurious, soft coat you have got to pet or my sweet personality?! When you come to meet me, I'm the first guy on the right when you enter the cat adoption room. I'd like to think you could stop looking but I won't mind if you say HI to the other cats and come back. I think I'm a lucky guy because I was chosen to be transferred to HAWS from a crowded shelter and received the surgery I needed to make me comfortable. Now it's your turn to be lucky by choosing me to be your companion! Please come meet me today.

Story
Hi, I’m Glacier! I’m a 4-year-old kitty who is calm, sweet, and easygoing. I’ve lived with kids before and did really well, and I also get along nicely with other cats. I love gentle pets, cozy spots to relax, and being part of a loving home. I’m looking for a family who can give me a safe, comfortable environment where I can share my affection and companionship. If you’re looking for a friendly, adaptable cat who enjoys both human company and feline friends, I’d love to meet you and become part of your family!

Story
While Mouse has been in our care, she spent time in a foster home. Below are some notes from her foster paw-rent: "She is super lovable, but needs some time to warm up to new people. She loves to be brushed and petted. She has been staying in my room as her safe space, but has ventured out into the living room and kitchen more and more. She is very good. Mouse enjoys jumping up on the chair for pets. She has also been around our Maltese male dog, Sonny. They do well with each other, Mouse likes to be chatty and meow towards Sonny."
