Jax is a year and a half and is a sweet purebred cat. He is a champagne mink Tonkinese in color. He is very cuddly, playful, and loving with the loudest purr. He loves to lay on your lap and cuddle up in your arms to sleep. He was purchased at a certified breeder and is, microchipped and up to date on all shots. Jax adjusts very well to new environments - but he prefers to be the only cat in the household. He needs lots of love and attention. He is litter box trained, great with kids/people and has no issues with health or acting our behavior. Re homing him has been a very difficult thing to even consider. He and our existing cat have not been able to coexist together. Our biggest concern is making sure he goes to a very loving, safe home who will take care really good care of him.We will be giving his favorite toys, treats and (cleaned) cat bed away with jax

I was found outside and brought to HAWS where I have been named Spencer and estimated to be 8 years old.  I am one of the longest resident cats at HAWS because I am shy … but approachable.  I do like the staff and cat cuddler volunteers who are trying to build my confidence to interact with new people.  When you meet me at my front door, talk quietly, move slowly and extend a hand for me to sniff.  I’m still learning to accept friendly pets.  I know I will be a great cat once I’m back in a loving home of my own.  I just need a patient person who will commit to a “basecamp” to help me successfully transition from HAWS to your home.  If you have a big heart and open to the unknown that is me, I hope you will come to meet me … and maybe fall in love!

Hi, I'm Mel (short for Melanie), and I was surrendered with brothers and sisters because our person could no longer care for us. We are not bonded so we can be adopted separately. One sibling has already been adopted so we're all hoping to be next! We all live together in the Small Colony Room at HAWS. I have found a cubby on the wall to be my favorite place to watch visitors. Hi, I was found outside and brought to HAWS where I have been named Mithridates and estimated to be 2 years old.  I’m a friendly but shy guy as I’m adjusting to my new life at HAWS.  I currently live in the Large Colony room with other cats.  One of my favorite hiding spots in the room is “the donut” where I sometimes have a friend with me (lately it’s been Liam mostly).  So if you come to meet me, I won’t be the kitty greeting you at the door rather look for me there or in a cubby box high on the wall.  Talk to me quietly, extend your hand for me to sniff and let me give you my head rub and that’s my sign it’s OK to pet me.  Please be patient, I think I’m worth it.

Hi, I’m Gauge and I was surrendered because my person could no longer care for me.  I am a sweet boy because I was loved deeply for 8 years.  At HAWS, I’ve become a favorite of the cat cuddlers so you may ask “why am I still here?”  My charming personality comes with some special needs, so I am looking for an understanding person willing to feed me special food and give me needed vet care when necessary.  The HAWS staff will tell you more.  I don’t need shots but maybe I need someone who has had prior experience with a diabetic cat?  I’m a great guy but understand I’m asking for a special person to commit to love me with my health challenge and for my ”happily ever after.”  If you think you’re the one, please come meet me today.
