Mickey was adopted from a shelter at 4 months old. He tolerates other pets but would thrive in a home where he can be THE GUY! He is a ‘typical’ orange cat - active, mischievous and demanding but he does suffer from anxiety with a lot of environmental change. The most fitting phrase for Mickey: when he’s good, he’s very, very good. When he’s bad he’s awful! At least when he does not get stimulation. Mickey is an outdoor (during the day with no predators) / indoor (before sunset and to cuddle up at night) cat. He lives with his sister (who he has lived with the past 2 years) but seems to be competitive for attention and resources with her. He would be so happy in a home as the only pampered pet with someone who is retired or works from home. He would not do well being left alone all day as he attaches strongly to “his person.” Again - an outdoor/indoor situation will be what makes him happy. He needs lots of reassurance, kindness, stability and love. He’s very funny and cute too😊

I was found outside and brought to HAWS where I have been named Spencer and estimated to be 8 years old. I am one of the longest resident cats at HAWS because I am shy … but approachable. I do like the staff and cat cuddler volunteers who are trying to build my confidence to interact with new people. When you meet me at my front door, talk quietly, move slowly and extend a hand for me to sniff. I’m still learning to accept friendly pets. I know I will be a great cat once I’m back in a loving home of my own. I just need a patient person who will commit to a “basecamp” to help me successfully transition from HAWS to your home. If you have a big heart and open to the unknown that is me, I hope you will come to meet me … and maybe fall in love!

Hi, I was found outside and brought to HAWS where I have been named Mithridates and estimated to be 2 years old. I’m a friendly but shy guy as I’m adjusting to my new life at HAWS. I currently live in the Large Colony room with other cats. One of my favorite hiding spots in the room is “the donut” where I sometimes have a friend with me (lately it’s been Liam mostly). So if you come to meet me, I won’t be the kitty greeting you at the door rather look for me there or in a cubby box high on the wall. Talk to me quietly, extend your hand for me to sniff and let me give you my head rub and that’s my sign it’s OK to pet me. Please be patient, I think I’m worth it.
