Maryann and Jenny showed up at a good Samaritan's house. The good Samaritan brought them to our facility, and we took them in. Well, how could we resist. They were so frightened and scared but are doing much better now. They are up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped and ready to be adopted. Who could resist those faces. They are adorable and they need a good loving home full of happiness, playfulness and lots of love. We don't know if they are siblings or not but that they came in together. The foster that has them now says they are coming out of their shell and are very playful and full of life. They love chasing each other and playing tag. They are very curious and so affectionate. They will be great for any family to have one of them for a family member. She is in TN but the cost of transport to your area is included in her fee. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road, Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Star was rescued in Louisiana. A lady that found her called me and said that she could not find a rescue group in Louisiana to take her. She had a gunshot wound through her jaw and ear. She was in pain. She brought her to me in Mississippi, and I got her the medical treatment that she needed. She had jaw surgery, and now her tongue permanently hangs out. We think this makes her uniquely special!! I know that her tongue hanging out may be a deterrent for a permanent home, but Star is such a sweet baby. She cannot help it that somebody shot her. She is a Catahoula hound, and her tail is docked. Star is a very sweet and loves to ride in the car. She loves dogs, and she loves children. She loves to roll over for a belly rub, and she knows the sit command. She is extremely smart. She loves to load up and ride in the car, and I believe that she was somebody’s baby at one time! Star has been in foster care and boarding for a while, and she wants a forever home! Also, if you live out of state, we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We alternate between the Northeast and the Midwest every other weekend. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee.

Grizzly is a year and half old Catahoula mix looking for a family of his own. What we found out about his past life is that he did grow up with another dog in the home and was sharing his space/people at one point. Grizzly can be dog selective so as always, a meet and greet is necessary before he joins any new homes with canine siblings. Being a year and half old - he still has lots and lots of puppy energy to shed off and would do well in an active family who can keep him busy. One of Grizzly`s struggles is learning that a leash isn`t a toy to grab on to - this fella would benefit from some manners and training!Outside of his high energy he`s a loving pup that will be sure to become your shadow once you earn his trust.Stop in and meet Grizzly soon!

Duke is a goofy cuddle bug with endless energy and a quick mind. He loves to run and play and has plenty of love to give. Duke would thrive in a home with an active family, jogging, running, hiking, swimming, he’s down for anything. Duke is an especially smart boy and with the right motivation (a handful of yummy treats) he is focused and responsive to training. We think he would thrive in an agility class. With some consistency and dedication, Duke could be a real king among dogs. Duke would be most comfortable in a home in an adult only family that can handle his zesty perception of life. He is a very fun, loving, and quirky boy, but should have a confident and experienced handler. He has made some canine playmates at MAS, but some dogs he would rather just co-exist and not interact with.
