Story
Maryann needs a hero. Growing up in rescue is not living her "best life". She has not had it easy. She was adopted as a puppy, but when her dad got a new girlfriend, he decided that he couldn't be bothered with his dogs and so after a year, Maryann ended up back at the rescue. Now, she is hopeful that someone will see her sweet nature and beautiful colors and make her their newest family member.

Story
Age: 4 Years Good with dogs? Yes Good with cats? Unknown Good with kids? Yes (may knock smaller kids down on accident) Weight: 76lbs Adoption Fee: $320.00 Any other info: Meet Peter! Peter and his stunning ice blue eyes are sure to make you stop and stare. This absolutely jaw-dropping Catahoula Leopard Dog mix has the most striking bright blue eyes and a heart that is every bit as beautiful as his adorable face. Sadly, Peter found himself at the shelter after his owner passed away. He lost the person he loved, and now hes hoping for another chance at having a family to call his own. We're told Peter is house trained, crate trained, kid friendly, and dog friendly. We're unsure how he feels about cats, but we are learning more about him every day while he is with us. And honestly? Peter has been one of the sweetest guys here with us!!! He has quickly stolen the hearts of everyone he meets, and it's so easy to see why. He's got that gentle, special something that makes you just want to be near him. He is a very tall guy with big velvet soft ears. He's very smart and already knows some commands like sit and give paw. He loves his tasty treats and is clearly extremely photogenic...and we think he knows it. Peter is 4 years old, neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and kept on prevention here with us. Peter has already lost someone he loved. We would really love to see him find a family who will make sure he never has to wonder where he belongs again. He is handsome. He is sweet. He is ready. He just needs his second chance. Apply today to meet Peter in person and see just how special he truly is! https://form.jotform.com/201977724595065 Once your application is processed and approved, our adoptions team will reach out to schedule an in person meet and greet with the Peter. ------------------------------------------------ Our adoption fees includes the pets spay or neuter surgery, microchip, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm + flea + tick disease testing, fecal check, and any medical care needed while staying with us. All adoption fees can be found on our website. The first step to our adoption process is to please fill out and adoptions application which can be found on our website www.serenityanimalhospital.net, under the "Adopt From Us" Tab. You can also complete an application in person at Serenity Animal Hospital. Any questions regarding our adoptable dogs can be emailed to our adoptions team at adoptions@serenityanimalhospital.net. Completing an application either online or in person is always the first step to our adoption process. Please allow us a few days to contact you about your application as we do get many in on a daily basis. We will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you for considering adoption!

Story
Meet Honey!Honey is a 6 month old, Spayed Female, Catahoula Leopard Dog/Boxer mix! This gorgeous little girl was transferred to us from Macomb County Animal Control. She's pretty much the sweetest and softest girl ever. She's relatively low key for a puppy and should be very easy to train as she seems eager to learn! She does well with other dogs and while she hasn't been tested around cats, she's young and should be able to do well with them after some training.Visit our website to fill out the adoption application: https://bit.ly/HSofMacombadoptionapplicationAfter your application is approved, a meet and greet will be set up for an animal in foster care. All Humane Society of Macomb animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested and microchipped.Thank you for showing an interest in our pets. We can never guarantee the breeds of the animals. We do not DNA test. Please feel free to call us with any questions.

Story
Porkpie A18663463 lb. neutered male, approx 3 years old -He started off a little timid and wanted to stay close to me, even climbing into my lap for comfort. Once he got comfortable, he started giving some sweet kisses!-Inside, it took him a little while to relax, but once he did, his goofy side came out. He slowly approaches, climbs into your lap, and then simply flops over for pets. He loves attention, although it seems like this may be a newer experience for him. He can be a little socially awkward, but he’s already figuring things out and making progress.-He wasn’t quite sure what to think about toys, but he does enjoy snacks! He’s picking up “sit” and takes treats very gently. He’s a good boy who just needs some patience, encouragement, and more life experiences to help him come out of his shell.-And he is an excellent walking partner! He moves right along at your pace without pulling.-This sweet guy may need a little time to find his confidence, but once he does, there’s a goofy, affectionate boy waiting to shine.Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit

Story
Leonard is a 56-pound leopard Catahoula, born around 07/01/21 and covered from nose to tail in the prettiest white and gray spots, and his personality is just as nice as his coat. He’s very sweet and smart! He’s friendly, likes other dogs, is good on and off the leash, knows basic commands and knows how to sit and high five. He’s just a genuinely pleasant dog to have around! Leonard is ready to go home with his new family. If you’d like to meet or adopt him, please apply for him today! Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!
