Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix 5 months old Female 22 pounds Kids · Yes Dogs · Yes Cats · Yes Hola, mi nombre es Raquel, viajé aquí desde Mexico. For those of you who aren’t bilingual like me that’s “Hello! My name is Raquel, I traveled here all the way from Mexico.” As you can see, me and a few of my friends have been given a wonderful opportunity here in the PNW! I miss the beaches and beautiful scenery of my homeland, but I am excited to start a new life here! I hope that someone will give me the opportunity to become the great family pet I know I can be. I am a bit of a babe still and eager to continue with all my training. Give me lots of love, guidance, and positive reinforcement and I will do my best to learn fast and give it all I got! I am sweet but very sensitive, so I prefer only the most respectful ninos (that means children) in my new family. I do get along great with other perros (dogs), and los gatos (cats). I am just a baby still, so I have plenty of learning to do, but I already have a great start on crate training. If you give me patience and commitment, I will not let you down! Largas perros de la familia vivir la vida nueva! 5 months old-22lbs. My adoption fee is $500 and includes spay, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
Beautiful Bessy! This 1 year old, 49 lb catahoula leopard mix is stunning with her beautiful merle coat and spirited disposition! Bessy is very active, super energetic and very playful. She can jump very high and is a good climber. She will need a lot of space and regular exercise. Her ideal family would be one that enjoys long hikes or going on long walks or runs. She will also need a yard to run and play in since she is considered high energy! She walks beautifully on a leash and needs little to no correction and barely pulls. She would be the perfect companion for someone athletic and outdoorsy! She gets along well with most dogs but does not mix well with dominant males. She would do well as an only dog or placed in a home with a friendly, energetic, submissive female or male. She is very independent and super competitive as she likes to play fetch and loves stuffed animals and chew toys. She can be possessive over her things and needs help learning to share. Bessy is extremely food motivated so training should be easy with this girl. She is potty trained but not crate trained She is very protective and extremely loyal. She is mostly a quiet dog but will bark at other dogs when outside guarding her territory. Even though this girl has lots of energy and can be intense, she is also very affectionate and sweet! She loves to be near her favorite person at all times and will follow you around wherever you go. She is people friendly and would do best in a home with children 5 and older as she likes to jump due to excitement and her energy level. Her new family/owner will need to have patience and willing to work with her on this behavior. One of her favorite things to do is go to the dog park. Bessy has a high prey drive and would do best in a house with NO CATS. She will try and chase squirrels and small critters on her walks is she spots them! Her foster mom reports that she doesn’t shed and has a very low maintenance coat? Are you ready for a girl like Miss Bessy to come into your home? Don’t miss out on this amazing pup! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby, you also receive many other additional perks such as a 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.), a free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus incredibly low pricing for future sessions, 50% off of your first BarkBox order, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our FB Adopter group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Story
This sweet pup was found in Pescadero BCS, Mexico in early 2021 wandering the beach. Luckily a tourist found her and brought her to a local vet that reached out to us to help her because Honey had tested positive for heartworm. After treating her and housing her for almost 2 years with a dedicated foster Honey is healthy and heartworm free! She is about 3 years old and should weigh about 45lbs, she is currently a little over weight due to so much rest time during treatment. Honey prefers male dogs but is tolerant of non dominant female dogs. She loves to play with her husky brother and chew on squeaky toys. Honey is house and crate trained and ready to learn some more skills with her new family. Honey can be shy in public but does walk on leash well. Her foster says even though Honey is almost as big as her she still loves to jump in her lap and get pets or be comforted when she is scared at the vets office. Honey cannot wait to join your home and family. She is kid approved and would love to curl up in bed with you every night keeping your feet warm. Honey is currently ready to go to the PNW if we can find her a foster or ideally her perfect forever home. She is currently located at our shelter in La Paz, Mexico but can be moved to the PNW within 10 - 15 days once adopted. Honey’s adoption fee for Oregon, Washington, or California is $450USD.This helps us cover most of her vet and care costs incurred in Mexico, and the transport fee to bring our pups over 1,500 miles to the PNW. All our dogs come spay or neutered, with all theirs shots for the year, and have had multiple blood tests done prior to entering the USA from Mexico.
