Story
Meet Brando- the sweetest, cutest little puppy in the world. Brando is 100% snuggles, sunshine and good times, just a little puppy looking for his forever family. We think Brando is a German Shepherd, Catahoula mix, though he is a rescue, so exact age and breed are a mystery. He’s around five months old, and still has quite a few of his puppy teeth! He weighs in just under thirty pounds right now, but he’s still growing! Watch Brando here: https://youtu.be/cQb2ondiOqY Brando is your typical puppy, all about naps, snuggles, playtime and food! He loves treats, and he takes them so gently already! Brando shows tons of signs that he’ll be a good dog when he grows up. He’s not mouthy, he’s learning his leash skills quickly, and he’s great at checking in with his humans during play time. He calms down quickly when playtime is over, and then it’s straight to snuggles. He’s confident and affectionate, and will climb up on the couch with you for some love! Brando LOVES belly rubs. With other dogs, Brando is all play! He’s super friendly with other dogs and instant BFFs with anyone that will indulge him in a game of chase. Here at the rescue, we cat tested Brando. Brando was playful, but not reactive toward our house cat Tom. See his full cat test in his YouTube video. Our behavior team believes that Brando could live in a house with kitties, so long as another dog is present to teach him proper kitty-etiquete. Brando is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. We are willing to test him with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen- just let us know. With any specific questions, please reach out to his adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. Story
How often do you see a dog that is this striking? Well don’t just stare, let me introduce you! Her name is Isa and she can come across as a bit shy but Ill tell you, it is only because she is truly holding her best material for her biggest fans. Her best material is the sweetest kisses, goofy zoomies, and a silly playfulness that looks so good on her. We can’t say for sure of course but everything about her leads us to believe she is a Catahoula Leopard dog. Estimated to be 2 years old and weighing 48 lbs, she is a full-grown mid-size dog, which from experience I will say is prime snuggle size. If you know about the breed already you can skip ahead but if not, one of my favorite facts is that Catahoulas are the state dog of Louisiana so if you are a die hard LSU fan, this girl will wear your purple and gold with true pride. Beyond that they are independent and smart and loyal through and through. Isa’s perfect home is adaptable and we could see her thriving in a house with a yard to enjoy or an apartment. She does prefer the quiet life, you might even say she identifies as a country girl with no interest in big city life. Its noisy. As for other pets, Isa doesn’t mind one way or another. An independent male dog would make a great counter-part but she is perfectly content being an only dog. As for cats, we suspect her interest in them would lead to a fun game of chase (for her, not the cat of course) so a home without feline-friends would be best for her. Kids are welcome with understanding the her bit of shyness isn’t from lack of love, she is a bit like a new kid at school, help her learn her way around and be supportive, before you know it you’ll have a new best friend who is ready to show you all her cool spins and zoomies. Isa was introduced to several new dogs and did great, she was very tolerant and patient with a variety of dogs from calm to the high energy wild ones. Her shy approach isn’t as present with dogs but she does take a more aloof approach at first so a dog that is understanding or equally easy-going and aloof would be best for her. Isa is a cutie girl who is sure to bring you and everyone around you plenty of laughs and love. A girl like her won’t be available for long so if you are even slightly interested, fill out an application or send an email to kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
This is Little Foot and Ill start by saying, he is one step from perfect, that one step to perfection is simple- people of his very own. Little Foot has a calm presence, is incredibly tolerant and good-natured. From people to dogs and even the cats- Little Foot offers a warm welcome to all. Easy on leash, a playful companion, eager to learn, attentive and great company! Take a look at him in action in his Get To Know Little Foot video. https://youtu.be/iR_ipOQooBs Anytime someone has spent time with him the comments include how gentle, calm, affectionate and so unbothered he is, no matter the circumstances. We haven’t seen a person or dog who he doesn’t get along with. His presence is disarming even to the dogs that are otherwise a bit grumpy. It likely has a lot to do with the fact that he has great dog manners, no need to be pushy. Given that Little Foot is closer to a puppy than his size might let you believe, est. to be 1 year old, he would both love and thrive in a home with a dog-friend. A little bit of playful companionship will undoubtedly make him happy. I can see the fun romps in the grass followed by naps in the shade. An ideal playmate for Little Foot can look like a wide-range of dogs from big to small, as long as they enjoy some level of play. Little Foot has the long legs and stride that I imagine will make games of chase very entertaining for them both. Personality wise, Little Foot can be described as a gentleman. Once he makes a connection he will always be so happy to see you. Strangers get a warm, welcoming greeting but his true people get that turned up and with a little sparkle on top. If you love a dog that can roll with the rhythm of a busy home where the front door is always open- this is your boy! He will welcome any and everyone with warmth and be by your side while you whip up dinner for the crew. I cannot say it enough, he is impressive! Little Foot is also cat-tolerant! Honestly he is cat-friendly in the sense that he would love to be friends with the cat but respects the fact that the feelings don’t seem mutual. If you have ever wanted to raise a kitten in the company of a dog for a max cute companion situation- Little Foot would like to be formally considered for the role. An ideal home for Little Foot is hard to quantify because he is so incredibly easy-going and versatile. He would be a fantastic addition to almost any home- individual or family. If you have kids and y’all like to walk to the park he would love that! If you have a dog or dogs that need an easy-going and friendly dog that knows when to stop and go, Little Foot would be great for you! A yard to stretch those long legs would be best but with a commitment to regular exercise and continued socializing, he would be a wonderful apartment boy, weighing 47 lbs he seems tall but his weight is not imposing. He is quiet in his crate and calm outside of it. If you are a first time dog owner and want a dog that is mindful, friendly, affectionate, while making it look and feel like you have always been each others- Little Foot is the one! Are you an outdoorsy couple wanting to live the dog-parent life with a fur-explorer who loves hikes and enjoying all the goodness out there- Little Foot is ready! Basically, he is a dream boat who is ready to begin life with his very-own forever family! If any part of you thinks Little Foot is the one, apply now! Don’t let him get away! If you have any questions about Little Foot or are ready to move forward by applying, here is all the info you need. Meet Sassy, a gentle 11-year-old who’s looking for a loving home where she can snuggle up while you watch TV or read a good book. Despite her name, Sassy is all about the love and is looking for endless couch cuddles where she can lay on you and get all the pets. Sassy thrives in a quiet setting and would do best in a home with older children or no children. She has been with children 6 and up and really just ignores them. Sassy is dog friendly and has lived with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. Her sweet demeanor extends to cats, goats and chickens, making her a perfect fit for a farm or a peaceful country home. Story
We got Maya from Cortez animal rescue. She came to us from Mexico when she was 6 months old she's one year old now. She is a really sweet dog and has no problems or issues whatsoever. However our house is too small for her. She loves to run and needs a big fenced yard. She also absolutely adores other dogs so a home with other dogs would be ideal.
