He is an energetic, shy but affectionate (once he gets to know you) and smart that likes other dogs and teen kids. He is a great companion for an active family with a secure 6 ft fence, children over 12 years of age or active single person. Catahoula experience is recommended. He is an indoor dog. He likes walks, car rides, toys. and dog beds. He will require daily walks and some dog training. Will require 6 ft fence. No apartments or rentals. No cats. Helotes Humane Society is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Meet Brando- the sweetest, cutest little puppy in the world. Brando is 100% snuggles, sunshine and good times, just a little puppy looking for his forever family. We think Brando is a German Shepherd, Catahoula mix, though he is a rescue, so exact age and breed are a mystery. He’s around five months old, and still has quite a few of his puppy teeth! He loves treats, and he takes them so gently already! Brando shows tons of signs that he’ll be a good dog when he grows up. He’s not mouthy, he’s learning his leash skills quickly, and he’s great at checking in with his humans during play time. He calms down quickly when playtime is over, and then it’s straight to snuggles. He’s confident and affectionate, and will climb up on the couch with you for some love! Brando LOVES belly rubs. With other dogs, Brando is all play! He’s super friendly with other dogs and instant BFFs with anyone that will indulge him in a game of chase. Here at the rescue, we cat tested Brando. Our behavior team believes that Brando could live in a house with kitties, so long as another dog is present to teach him proper kitty-etiquete. Brando is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. We got Maya from Cortez animal rescue. She came to us from Mexico when she was 6 months old she's one year old now. She is a really sweet dog and has no problems or issues whatsoever. However our house is too small for her. She loves to run and needs a big fenced yard. She also absolutely adores other dogs so a home with other dogs would be ideal.

Snoopy is a six year old, neutered Catalonia Leopard/Golden Retriever mix. He’s brownish with orange, very handsome boy. Snoopy is up to date on his shots and ready to get adopted. He needs to meet other dogs first and then he gets al9ng with them. This is a necessity. The owner says that he’ll even snuggle with other dogs once he gets to know them otherwise he fights. I'll eat them all and beg for more! I love all the people and enjoy smelling all the things. I'm a bit of a goofball, so I hope you like to laugh! I'll have you giggling in no time Shadow is a 1-2 year old Catahoula Leopard Pit mix. He can come on strong when meeting new dogs, so we think he would be best either as an only dog, or with a Beta dog who will let him be in charge. He has stunning eyes and a sweet personality. He is eager to learn and please. He is also very food motivated. If you train him, he will excel to be an amazing dog. His kennel manners suggest he may already have excellent bathroom etiquette. He has some tricks already up his paw. He knows how to sit, give paw, down, roll over and crawl. We have no idea how he would be with cats or small animals. Daisy is a sweet loving dog she is fixed and potty trained, loves to go on walks and hikes, play fetch in the yard and loves car rides. Loves her belly rubs and pets. Loves to play with other dogs by chasing back and forth. Lately I have not had time to give her a lot of attention due to working longer hours and deserves an owner who has the time.
