He is an energetic, shy but affectionate (once he gets to know you) and smart that likes other dogs and teen kids. He is a great companion for an active family with a secure 6 ft fence, children over 12 years of age or active single person. Catahoula experience is recommended. He is an indoor dog. He likes walks, car rides, toys. and dog beds. He will require daily walks and some dog training. Will require 6 ft fence. No apartments or rentals. No cats. Helotes Humane Society is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0DGxNx-6rl0 Seashell is a beautiful Catahoula mix with the most stunning golden merle coat. She is young, about 7-8 months old and weighs about 35 lbs right now. She is great with other dogs and with cats. She plays like a puppy but doesn't have crazy puppy high energy. She is very sweet and will be a great family dog or companion to an individual or couple. Seashell was on the euthanasia list at a small rural shelter that gets no foot traffic so many beautiful, adoptable dogs die there. She was one of the lucky ones that made it out. She is in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. We have frequent transports to the locations below. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport and one of the locations. These are drop off/pick up locations, not rescue locations.
