**Fostered in Battleground, WA and ready for meet and greets!** Say hello to your new adventure buddy, Ruffles! This handsome fella is 11 months old and weighs only about 36 lbs, a perfect medium size! With his gorgeous merle spots, beautiful brown eyes, and floppy ears, he's sure to melt your heart. His goofy, fun-loving nature will keep you entertained, and his snuggles will always lift your spirits Ruffles is an active guy, with plenty of young-pup energy. He would love a home where he can go on regular hikes, walks, playtime, and some enrichment activities for those less-active days. He's smart as can be and learns so quickly. He's already mastered "sit," "refocus," and "leave it," and is making great progress on his recall skills. He enjoys playing fetch but is still learning how to bring the item back. When he's not playing, he's happy to snuggle up with you for a nice nap. He's an affectionate and sweet boy who truly loves his people and wants to be with them. A DNA test done by his sister's adopters say that he is about 30% Catahoula, 30% Supermutt, 10% Husky, and some other great breeds as well. Ruffles is a talkative boy who will literally have a conversation with you (how cool is that?!). Due his talkative nature, he won't be a good fit for an apartment. He would rather have a big yard to run around and play in anyway. Ruffles is great around kids and enjoys the company of other dogs too. He currently lives with two Dachshunds but sometimes he plays a bit too rough for them. He would do better with a similar-sized playmate. He was great with cats earlier in his life, but would need to be cat tested again. We do think he would do well, as he likes to watch wildlife without chasing after it (such a good boy!). Some of his favorite things are his chew toys, snuffle mat, bullysticks, and hunting for treats in the yard (scatter feeding). He loves plushy toys too, but needs close supervision with those. He walks well on the leash and rides great in the car, although he does need a little coaxing to get in at first. He will love going all the new places with you! Ruffles is potty trained and crate trained, but he will cry and howl when left home alone, so he will do best with someone who works from home, or is home often. A Furbo really helps him with this when you do need to step out for a while. He's so food motivated! Since Ruffles is still young, he will need continued training to become his best self, plus it will really help you bond! You know why there are so many references to Brandi in songs…because Brandi’s are always sweet. Think about it, have you ever met a bad Brandi? Not me, and this one won’t be the one to change that. She is affectionate, top-teir couch potato, and such easy-going company. Estimated to be around 5 years old and possibly a Catahoula/Pittie mix, she is 65 lbs of lover girl. The snuggles are guaranteed but breed and birthday are not, because of course, she is a rescue. A girl has to maintain a little mystery, right? But, to say she just wants to find a soft-spot and stay there is an understatement. That is all she is looking for and those soulful eyes of hers will tell you she is right where she wants to be. Having been the one that got to see her sleeping away on a couch and had to get her up, Ill tell you, it is hard to want to disturb her once she settles in- she is angelic and it is as relaxing to watch as I imagine it is for her to experience. She lives with other dogs in her foster home and her foster praises her respectful, no-drama, quiet confidence with other dogs. In the yard or on walks, she keeps that same approach- no overexcitement or concern, a little like a mama-supervisor type. Here’s the thing though, her foster can see how over-the-moon happy she is when she gets to enjoy the only-dog life. Seeing her get comfortable in a home, it is easy to know that everything about her deeply appreciates the comfy, coziness of home life and would love to soak it all up without having to be on mama-supervisor duty. She gets attached to the people and things she loves, don’t we all, and we would love to see her get the chance to rest her shoulders and enjoy. To say it simply, she’ll do best as an only dog in the home—not because she doesn’t get along with dogs, she's not trying to start trouble, she just wants to feel safe and secure and at peace when she is home. Same girl- same! As for people? Brandi is pure love. She’s cuddly, snuggly, and soaks up affection like a sponge while also being easygoing, low-maintenance energy. Give her a couch, a calm environment, and someone to love, and she’s perfectly content. Total companion dog energy. A home with a yard would be great, she loves a little sun-session or a nap in the grass but she doesn’t need, and could be an apartment girlie. The key will be regular walks and moments along your walk where she gets to roll in the grass or stop and soak up the sun and smells. Otherwise, she is low-energy, quiet in her crate and well-behaved on leash. She will also pass on cats, every cat she has met has disturbed her peace with their running and wild jumps. Brandi would thrive in a single-dog home, a low-key household with a family that values peace and routine, where she can nap, cuddle, and be the best part of your day, everyday. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. Meet Tiger! This 4 month old cutie weighs about 41 pounds. We think he might be a Catahoula / Labrador Retriever mix, but as a proud rescue, their breed blend is a mystery – making them 100% unique and 100% loveable!
