Meet Lou Lou – A Beautiful Soul Ready for Love!  Lou Lou is a stunning 50-pound, 1-2 year old Catahoula mix with a beautiful smile and dancing eyes that invites you to make friends with her.  She was originally an abandoned girl who was found alone in the middle of a storm, searching for safety. In many ways, she is like a puppy—a clean slate ready for training, adventures, and a lifetime of love. Lou Lou has been spayed and is up to date on all vaccinations. Story
Hi there! I’m Ginny! I’m a sweet, energetic girl looking for my forever home. I was returned to the shelter for the second time, but it wasn’t because of anything I did wrong — sometimes things just don’t work out. I’m still the same playful, loving pup I’ve always been! I absolutely love attention and will happily snuggle up with you when I’m not busy zooming around and playing with my toys. I’m still learning my manners, but I’m food motivated, so with some patience and training, I’ll pick up new things in no time! I’m an active girl who loves running, playing fetch, and even hiking! I’d be so happy in a home where I can burn off all my energy. I could live with other dogs and kids, and possibly cats in the right situation. I’m also a strong chewer, so I’ll need some durable toys to keep me busy and happy. I’m looking for a family who has the time to help me with training and socialization so I can grow into the best girl I can be. If you give me that, I’ll reward you with lots of love, loyalty, and plenty of snuggles because I’m a total Velcro dog! If you think I’d be a good fit for your family, I can’t wait to meet you and start making happy memories together! Story
Hi there, I’m Colt, a 7-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog, and I’m on the lookout for a new family who can give me the love, attention, and care I deserve. I was surrendered by my previous family because they loved me so much, they realized they couldn’t give me the time and attention I truly needed. They wanted the best for me, and I know you’ll feel the same once we meet! I’ve got a big heart, and I’m looking for a family who’s ready for a loving, loyal companion. I can be a bit shy and nervous at first, but once I warm up, you’ll see my true playful, goofy side. I’m definitely a Velcro dog—I just want to be where my people are, always close by. I’m also great with other dogs, cats, and kids. I love people, and I’m just a big sweetheart who loves being around my family. Though I’m very affectionate, I’ve got a high prey drive, so I do best in a home that understands my instincts. I’ve got some anxiety, especially when I’m left alone, and I could use some work on my leash manners. But I’m very smart and eager to please, so with a little patience and training, I’ll be a fantastic running or hiking buddy. I’m always up for adventure and love to get outside for exercise—just be ready for a bit of goofiness along the way! I’ve been great with my vet care, and I’m generally very sweet and loving with people of all ages. However, I do have some sensitivity to sounds, so a calm, quiet home might help me feel more at ease. If you're an experienced dog owner who can provide me with the stability and routine I need, I’ll be your loyal, cuddly, and goofy best friend for life. I’ll need multiple visits to make sure we get to know each other, but I promise it will be worth it. I’m ready to find my forever home, where I can feel safe, loved, and part of the family. Story
Hi, my name is Charlotte & I'm lucky to be here. My momma was found as a stray & the lady who found her was trying to be responsible, so contacted a rescue for help in getting her spayed. But then asked if they would spay her if she was already pregnant. Long story short, the lady at the rescue said she didn't want anyone to abort the babies since my momma was close to delivering, so said she would take my momma & let her have her babies first. I was born a week later & have had a wonderful, loving home & been very happy with comfy beds, fun toys, delicious treats, lots of food & fun playmates. But now, the nice lady says it's time for each of us to get our own furever homes where we will contine to be loved & cherished. Charlotte has not been around many children but she gets along well with everyone and loves cats. She was raised in a stress free home where everyone around her is happy! Charlotte has been exposed to peepee pads. But as a puppy she will not understand the change. Puppies only know where to go because that is what they are taught. In a new environment you will have to define the acceptable spots for potty times. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please email: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com You can also visit our website Rpacirescue.org to fill out an adoption application

Story
*SPECIAL NEEDS - PLEASE READ FULL BIO* Celyn! Celyn joined us on December 30, 2023, and we were thrilled to ring in the new year with her. We hoped her stay would be short, but sadly, this sweet girl has been waiting almost 9 months for her forever home. Celyn is a unique and special pup—she’s deaf and partially blind, which sadly causes her to be overlooked time and time again. 💔 ✨ Age: 1 year old 🤫 Weight: About 45 lbs—truly the perfect size! 🐶 Breed: Catahoula Mix (or as we like to call her, a Spotted Secret Keeper) 👃 Special Abilities: SUPER Scenter! Celyn can sniff out anything—her favorite volunteers, a meal, or treats on the way. She may not hear with her ears, but she hears with her heart. ❤️ 🏃‍♀️ Dreams: Celyn wants to run track in the 2028 Paralympics! We haven’t told her yet that the Olympics are only for humans. 🤫 ⚡ Activity Level: Pretty high—she loves to run in the play yard and zoom around with her doggy friends. 🧸 Toys: BIG fan! She’s happy tossing toys to herself or playing with friends. 🍖 Treats: Treats are life! 🥾 Love hiking? So does Celyn! Her disabilities don’t slow her down—she enjoys long hikes with her active volunteer buddies. 💬 Need a secret keeper? Celyn’s your girl. She can’t hear your secrets, so she’ll never spill them! 🐱 Cats? She hasn’t been tested, but we’re happy to try if someone applies for her! 🐕 Dogs? Celyn is a social butterfly and loves her dog pals. 👧 Kids? She does amazing at events and loves meeting kids of all ages! She might get a little in your bubble while sniffing everyone out, though. 🏡 Ideal Family? Active, patient, and excited to train a special-needs dog. Even though Celyn is focused on her Olympic dreams, she will need her family to also be willing to train her as well. Deaf dogs are amazing creatures and are easily trained, often with things like hand signals and other training techniques. Obviously even more care than usual should be taken to make sure she does not accidentally get out off leash as she cannot hear you calling her back and can't hear dangers like cars coming. She may also be partially visually impaired. She does so well, it is really hard to tell! For the boring stuff: Celyn is crate trained and has been working hard on her housebreaking. She prefers going potty off-leash and would benefit from having a yard where she can roam and find some privacy for her bathroom breaks. 🚽 We all need a little alone time, right? She’s been sniffing for her forever family for far too long. This sweet girl is ready to find her home and start her journey to the 2028 Olympics in LA. 😉 Celyn's adoption fee includes her spay, age appropriate vaccinations and microchipping. She is up to date on deworming and preventatives. Interested in Celyn?
