When we rescued 2-4 year-old Jones, he was emaciated from being a stray without much food to sustain him. HeâÂÂs now about 50-55 pounds and may gain even more. Jones, a Catahoula mix, wears a coat with typical Catahoula markings . He has a sweet personality; heâÂÂs dog friendly and calm. He loves to go for walks and is always glad to see you come his way. Although his first years may have been tough, thereâÂÂs only sweetness in his eyes now. What a fine fella he is! He is cat-friendly, but he can be a bit much for them since he always wants to play—so he’d do best in a cat-free home or one with a very tolerant, confident cat. This guy is active, athletic, and always ready for an adventure. Walks, outings, and staying busy are his jam, so he’ll need an active family who can keep up with his enthusiasm for life. Atlas does have some separation anxiety, but it is very manageable and continues to improve with routine and structure.
