Story
COURTESY POST - We are looking for rehome or placement support for our 1.5yo dog, Bernie (Catahoula Leopard Dog-mix). He's 60lbs, healthy, neutered & fully vaccinated, crate/potty trained and professionally trained with a strong obedience foundation. Bernie is a great companion with a great balance of energy and ability to settle - he is exceptionally loving and loyal, but unfortunately struggles with high over-arousal when guests enter the home (jumping, vocalization, mouthiness). He has never bitten or injured anyone, but needs structured introductions and an experienced home that can manage his stress in these situations. With a newborn arriving in July, we can no longer safely manage his needs long-term. Our trainer believes he would thrive in the right environment with experienced owners, and we are trying to avoid a shelter setting due to stress risk.  He loves playing tug, napping in the sun, and going for car rides. He is off-leash trained, has great recall, and is social and friendly outside of the home.  We can provide full training history, financial support for initial expenses, and transport. We are open to foster, rescue intake, or assisted rehoming. For more info, see his rehome profile here: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/47863549-yardley-pennsylvania-catahoula-leopard-dog-mix  Please text Katie, 203-414-8952 if interested in learning more. ##2735762##

Story
Meet Star! Star is a 4-year-old Catahoula/Hound mix with a heart every bit as big as her personality. This girl has been through more than most dogs ever should - she was shot, and the bullet went through her jaw and ear. She underwent jaw surgery, and as a result, her tongue now hangs out permanently. But Star doesn’t let her past define her. She is pure resilience wrapped in sweetness. Star is incredibly affectionate and so happy-natured. She loves to run, explore, and play, but she also knows how to wind down and melt into you for snuggles - the perfect balance of fun and companionship. She enjoys car rides and would make a wonderful adventure buddy for someone who wants a loyal co-pilot by their side. She’s very smart, already knows “sit,” and uses the doggie door like a total pro. Star is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find the family who will love her for the amazing, one-of-a-kind girl she is. If you’re looking for a dog with a beautiful soul and an even more beautiful spirit, Star is your girl.

Story
Meet Iris Lou A stunning Catahoula Leopard Dog with a heart as beautiful as her spots Iris Lou is the kind of dog who gently tiptoes into your life… and then curls right up into your heart. This sweet girl is affectionate, gentle, and an absolute cuddle-bug once she feels safe. She can be a little shy at first, but give her a moment and she’ll show you her loyal, loving soul. Iris is dog-friendly and truly prefers having canine companions around. She feels most confident when she has dog friends nearby and thrives in a home where she isn’t the only four-legged heartbeat. She’s also a bit protective of her people, the good kind that watches over you with quiet devotion. One of her most endearing quirks? Her goofy, crooked smile. Iris curls one side of her lip up and shows her teeth, which might look intimidating at first glance, but it’s actually her way of saying “I trust you.” It’s a submissive, affectionate gesture and one of the many things that makes her uniquely Iris. She’s fully committed to outdoor pottying and will not use potty pads. Outside is the only acceptable bathroom in her world. She also loves carrying her stuffies outdoors… though fair warning, they rarely survive the adventure. &#239&#184&#143 Iris Lou’s story is one of quiet resilience. She was dumped on the same county road where another rescue dog, Lily, was found. For weeks, Iris hid in the brush, surviving with the help of kind people who left her food and water. Slowly, patiently, Corey earned her trust, and once she decided she was safe, she never looked back. She walked into her foster home and made herself part of the family almost instantly. Unlike many dogs with her past, Iris has no desire to wander off. When she chooses you, she chooses you. Iris Lou is looking for a loving home where she can feel secure, have doggy friends, enjoy cuddles, and flash that sweet, silly smile every day. If you’re ready for a loyal companion with a gentle heart and a survivor’s spirit, Iris Lou may be your girl. Adopt Iris Lou and give this beautiful soul the forever she’s been waiting for.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 14, 2026, 2:11 pm

Story
adoption donation : $599 weight 38lbs Age 6 months       Charlie is a sweet and friendly girl who loves everyone she meets. She was found abandoned at a truckstop in a rural part of Mississippi and luckily rescued by Wags. At the rescue, she is having a blast running and playing with all the dogs, she just loves other pups! In the house, she is mellow and chill and loves to follow her Foster Mom around.  Charlie has been spayed and vaccinated and is ready to travel to the northeast as soon as the weekend of August 9th. Charlie is housebroken at Wags but like any rescue pup will likely need some training as she adjusts to a new home. She has beautiful and appeared to be a Catahola Leopard dog, very common in Mississippi and known to be very smart and loving dogs. Charlie is just the best, she will  make a wonderful  member of the family.    Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter. Most of our dogs are in Mississippi and come up by Transport, dogs are listed along the Transport route or in an area where we may have volunteers who can help transport the dogs. We do have some of our dogs in foster homes in the northeast, we always need foster homes!
