Story
Princess is an 8 month old sweetie! She's very calm for a puppy and needs to find a family who can love her forever. She's pad trained but will transition quickly to going out if you take the time to teach her. She plays well with her mom and her brother and sisters and should adapt to other dogs if introduced. Princess lives with four cats and does fine with them. She has had no experience with leash training but is incredibly smart so should catch on quickly - her brother was a foster with SCC and learned to walk on a leash after four or five sessions. She will need spayed and that will be included in her adoption donation of $300. She is current on her shots. If you are interested in meeting this sweet girl please fill out an adoption application on our website.May 28, 2024, 3:43 pm

Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0DGxNx-6rl0 Seashell is a beautiful Catahoula mix with the most stunning golden merle coat. She is young, about 7-8 months old and weighs about 35 lbs right now. She is great with other dogs and with cats. She plays like a puppy but doesn't have crazy puppy high energy. She is very sweet and will be a great family dog or companion to an individual or couple. Seashell was on the euthanasia list at a small rural shelter that gets no foot traffic so many beautiful, adoptable dogs die there. She was one of the lucky ones that made it out. She is in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. We have frequent transports to the locations below. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport and one of the locations. These are drop off/pick up locations, not rescue locations. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on the next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Illinois (Vandalia) - Indiana (Spiceland) - Ohio (Columbus) - Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 2, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed, heartworm tested (negative), on monthly heartworm prevention, on monthly flea and tick prevention. Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma) Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Introducing Gordo"puppy" Padilla, a beautiful 2-year-old Brindle Shepherd-Pit mix with a heart full of love. Gordo is gentle and sweet but can be a bit shy, so he’s looking for a patient and understanding family who will help him learn new things at his own pace. Gordo is new to leash training but is making great progress with crate training in his foster home. He gets along well with other dogs but would thrive best as the only pet in the household, where he can be the center of attention. Gordo has not been introduced to cats but is comfortable around older children 6+. One of Gordo’s favorite activities is playing with his ball—he’s excellent at fetch! He also loves running through the water sprinkler and would be thrilled to have a fenced yard of his own to play in. Gordo is very smart and eager to learn, making him a great candidate for daily routines and training. Gordo is still young, he will need a family committed to his training and socialization. Continued leash training, crate training, and daily exercise are essential to help him grow into a well-mannered adult dog. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who enjoys fetch and water play, Gordo Padilla is the perfect match. With patience and love, he will become a wonderful addition to your family. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioural characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.
