Story
In 2019, we purchased Buddy from an Amish breeder in Pennsylvania. He has been a loving, great dog for our family for the past seven years. He has had no health issues but experiences a lot of anxiety living in the middle of Washington DC. He is very protective of his family and perceives other animals and visitors as a threat initially. He warms up quickly to new people, however, and is a snuggly, sweet, family dog. He lives with three kids and he is friends with all of their friends right now. Unfortunately, due to some major life changes we need to find a new home for Buddy. He is on anti-anxiety medication which he takes happily in cheese once a day. If in a quieter location, he may not need the medication. Buddy is playful and loving and content to chase squirrels all day and take long naps. he does require grooming every couple of months but does not shed at all.

Story
Meet Godfrey. Some dogs chase tennis balls. Some dogs chase squirrels. Godfreys favorite thing to chase is you. This 12-year-old Cavapoo is equal parts playful sidekick and professional cuddle bug. If you sit down, hell find you. If you walk away, he'll follow. If you're standing still long enough, theres a good chance he'll gently nuzzle into you and casually drop his entire body weight against your leg just to make sure you know he loves you. Godfrey is the kind of dog who brings joy wherever he goes. He's goofy, affectionate, fully potty trained, and always ready for a game. His foster says he loves pulling toys from his toy bin and delivering them directly to your feet before pawing at you to make sure you understand that playtime is now mandatory. When he's not playing, he's looking for treats, snuggles, or a cozy spot in bed next to his favorite human. While Godfrey loves other dogs in the home, he can be reactive when passing unfamiliar dogs on leash. Because of this, he would do best in a quieter neighborhood, a home with a fenced yard, or with an adopter willing to continue helping him build confidence around dogs he doesn't know. He's a very good boy on leash otherwise and responds well to patient guidance. Godfrey also struggles a bit when left alone. After years of loving companionship, its understandable that he prefers having his people nearby. He's looking for a family that is home much of the time and committed to helping him work through his separation anxiety with patience and consistency. At 12 years old, Godfrey does have some age-related arthritis in his back legs and receives Cytopoint injections for allergies, but neither condition stops him from enjoying life. He still has plenty of energy for play sessions, walks, and all the snuggles he can get. Godfrey is one of those dogs who makes a house feel full. Full of toys scattered across the floor. Full of laughter. Full of companionship. Full of love. He's looking for a family who will embrace all of it. We just welcomed 12 years 15 lb neutered male cavapoo Godfrey. Story
Maple is a sweet, loving, and incredibly smart puppy who has brought so much joy into my life. She loves being around people, learns quickly, and has the kind of personality that makes everyone fall in love with her. She is curious, playful, affectionate, and still very much a baby who is figuring out the world around her. As difficult as this decision has been, I want to make sure Maple has the best life possible. She deserves someone who has the time, energy, and flexibility to give her the attention, training, and consistency that every young puppy needs.I'm looking for a home with someone who understands the commitment that comes with raising a puppy and is excited to help her continue learning and growing. Ideally, her new owner would have a flexible schedule or spend a lot of time at home, since she thrives with companionship and guidance throughout the day. Maple is truly a wonderful little dog with so much love to give, and my goal is simply to find the person/family who fits.

Story
Meet Jax, a 12-year-old, 40 lb sweetheart with a heart full of love. He's incredibly affectionate and forms deep bonds with his people. Jax is house-trained, knows basic commands, and is brilliantly food motivated—eager to learn new tricks for treats! He's a well-behaved companion who thrives on routine. However, Jax struggles with high anxiety in loud, unfamiliar environments and around people he doesn’t know. He becomes overwhelmed easily and, when overstressed, may snap if touched unexpectedly. For this reason, his ideal home is a calm, quiet, adult-only household with no young children. He needs a patient family who will read his body language and give him space when he needs it. Jax could peacefully coexist with a gentle, calm dog his size or smaller. In the right low-stress environment, this intelligent, food-loving senior boy will be your most loyal and loving friend, ready to spend his golden years showering you with affection.

Story
Meet Cassie.  This pretty, flowy-coated pup was picked up as a stray roaming rural SC. She was fostered initially in a busy household with a mom, dad, 10-year-old boy, two dogs, and two cats, and she acclimated well. She is currently in a local foster home with two dogs, and loves being part of a pack, both human and canine.  Cassie has proven to be a sweet, affectionate, and playful pup. While she can be shy when meeting new people or experiencing new environments, once she feels safe, her loving personality shines through. She adores being close to her people, follows her foster family around the house, and is happiest snuggled up nearby with a toy-pile all her own. Cassie is very dog-friendly and integrated easily with the other dogs. She has also met neighbor dogs and visiting dogs and done well with everyone. She would thrive in a home with another playful, confident dog buddy to help continue building her confidence. She loves running and playing in the yard, wrestling with dog friends, and hanging out with her pack. Her foster mom says she settles much more comfortably when another dog is nearby, even happily relaxing quietly in her crate alongside a canine companion.  She is an active young dog who playful when it’s time for fun, but also content to cuddle and relax inside. Cassie is progressing with house training, and her foster mom is slowly introducing the crate using short periods of time paired with tasty treats to help make it a positive experience. It’s still a work in progress, as Cassie is likely to bark, but she's not to the point where she can be fully trusted loose and unattended for long periods. Thankfully, her foster mom works from home, so a home with a flexible schedule or someone around more often would likely be the best fit for her. She is also improving nicely with leash walking and becoming more confident over time. Loud noises like trucks, lawn equipment, and heavy traffic can still make her nervous, so she’ll need a patient adopter who understands she’s still learning that the world is safe. Cassie has done well around the cats in her foster home, though she is cautious and respectful around them. She adores the son in her foster home, but loud children outside the home can make her nervous. She just needs a little time and reassurance. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly sweet, loyal, and affectionate. Like many young pups, Cassie loves toys and chews and may occasionally “borrow” socks, shoes, or remotes if left unattended. She needs an adopter who understands she's still young and not fully trustworthy and will give her the structure she needs.  Cassie is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds with her people and dog friends. With patience, structure, and love, she is going to make an incredibly devoted companion.  One important note: Cassie can be a bit of a Houdini in a new environment and may look for gaps in fences if given the opportunity, so a secure fenced yard with no escape points is a must.
