Please contact Darlene at 302-312-5129 (fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. July 11, 2026, 10:56 am

Story
Meet Chum — 13 pounds of attitude, drama, and… eventually… affection. Are you a patient adult woman with a soft spot for spicy little men? Perfect. Chum is a 4-year-old chihuahua whose hobbies include: strutting proudly on his walkies, judging everyone within a 10-foot radius, and filing formal complaints about any man who dares make eye contact. Chum considers personal space a right, not a privilege. He’ll need someone who lets him settle in at his own pace, preferably while providing him with the fluffiest, most luxurious bed known to mankind (he will absolutely claim it as his throne). Story
I adopted Booboo some years ago from a shelter in Pennsylvania. He was a rescue dog and for the most part was good for me and my kids. It took a while for him to get used to them. I’m not sure what happened to booboo before us. He is a very good dog most likely will need to be adopted by adults or older. People is very energetic and loves to be outside, but he’s not good with children especially small children. He’s very aggressive and Monstah bite. I’ve tried really hard to get him to stop doing this, but it just can’t and me and my fiancé are now wanting to share our place and we have a young child. That’s only three years old and Booboo has already tried to bite her a lot and I’ve had to keep him in the cage while she’s here and it’s just unfair to him, especially when we do get the place together he will only be in the cage more and more. I hope he just gets a good home and he’s loved for the remaining years that he has.

Story
I adopted Popkorn from a dog rescue shelter in West Chester in Oct 2024. He is currently 6 years old. He is cuddly and energetic. He's brought so much love and fun to my life for the past 2 years. Unfortunately, I will need to relocate in Oct this year, and due to the nature of my job, I won't be able to spend as much time with him as it used to be. It is a very hard decision for me. I'm hoping to find someone who can spend time with him and take good care of him.

Story
CHURRO is a 3 month old Chihuahua mix (with Corgi maybe?). she is super cute on short legs and born with a nub tail. Very friendly and well socialized. Churro has had her first puppy shots and deworming. Adoption $400 which includes her spay at OUR vet partner when she is old enough (6-9 months) or, if you prefer to use your vet, we will refund $100 with proof of spay. As with all of our young pups, we do ask that you enroll her in a positive-reinforcement basic obedience/puppy class to continue with her socialization. Apply for Churro at www.companimals.org. July 10, 2026, 8:02 pm
