Story
Meet Gremlin Gremlin is a gentle, affectionate boy who is a little more confident than his friend Diablo. While he enjoys being around other dogs, Gremlin is more of a cuddler than a player right now and would much rather curl up in your lap for a cozy snooze. He is dog friendly, kid friendly, and walks well on leash. Gremlin does not require a fenced yard as long as he receives regular walks and companionship. He is low to medium energy and settles easily, making him a great match for a calmer household. Gremlin keeps his crate mostly clean and does well with routine. He would thrive in a home looking for a sweet, easygoing companion who enjoys quiet time and close connection with his people. Adoption donation is $395 cash, $420 credit, debit or Venmo. This donation includes a microchip. ***A NOTE ON BREEDS: The dog's listed breed(s) is the best assessment made by a veterinarian, pet finder or rescue staff and is not guaranteed. Story
Meet Pepsi Pepsi is a sweet senior Chihuahua who’s ready for a slow, quiet life with someone who understands and appreciates her golden years. She would do best with older kids who can respect her age and gentle nature. Pepsi is low energy and happiest when she’s curled up next to her person—whether that’s on the couch or tucked into bed. She seems dog friendly, but really just wants to be your little buddy. One of her favorite comforts is her beloved Lamb Chop toy, which she often uses as a pillow for naps (it’s as cute as it sounds). Pepsi is currently recovering from a past of severe neglect and malnutrition. Due to prolonged poor nutrition, she has some muscle atrophy, but she is already on a structured recovery plan through the rescue. She receives gentle stretching exercises and is slowly increasing her daily walks to help rebuild strength. With patience, consistency, and love, she is expected to continue making progress at her own pace. She doesn’t need a fenced yard and would do well in a calm home where she can go out for more frequent potty breaks, as many seniors do. Pepsi is looking for someone with a big heart—someone who understands that older dogs, especially those who’ve had a rough start, have so much love left to give. If you’re searching for a loyal, snuggly companion to share quiet moments with and support through her golden-years healing journey, Pepsi may be your perfect match. Adoption donation is $395 cash, $420 credit, debit or Venmo. Meet Minnie! Minnie is a sweet 7-year-old, 6-pound Chihuahua with a heart full of love. She’s attentive, affectionate, loves to give kisses, and is playful—especially with little stuffies that squeak! Minnie enjoys her daily walks and has just the right amount of energy to keep life fun without being overwhelming—she’s definitely not a couch potato. Because of her small size, Minnie would do best in a home with older kids who understand how gentle to be. She would thrive in a family that can give her love, attention, and plenty of daily strolls to explore the world. If you’re looking for a loving little companion who will happily follow you around on adventures, Minnie might be the perfect match! Adoption donation is $395 cash, $420 credit, debit or Venmo. ✨Meet Joey!✨ Joey came to us after being surrendered by his previous family due to them moving and no longer being able to care for him. Joey is a 2 year old Chihuahua mixed breed who needs someone who can move slow with him, as he was never properly socialized in his last home. Joey is a young dog that will require a family up to the task of providing him physical and mental exercise and training that all dogs require. If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org 💕🐾 Angel’s Retreat West Chester, PA PA Kennel License 17335

Story
MIMI is a sweet and spunky 12 year old Chihuahua in need of a forever home so she can be comfortable and spoiled in her senior years.  Mimi came to our shelter after her family of 12 years was unfortunately uprooted and unable to take her with them.  Mimi is initially timid around new people and seems to like women more than men (although she loved her dad who handed her over to us and he loved her). Given time she will gain trust and become much more outgoing.  Mimi gets very attached to “her person” and wants to be held and loved, her favorite place to be is on her persons lap.  Mimi is also independent and will snuggle on her bed and not complain if she can’t be held.  Mimi is still active and loves to explore the backyard with her foster brother and sister (both large dogs).  She gets along well with dogs and cats and had a dog companion in her former home.  Mimi also loves walks and gets very excited when she sees her leash.  Mimi is housebroken and will run to the door and let you know when she needs to go out.  At her foster home, Mimi likes to have her bed in her crate for a “safe place” away from the other dogs.  Mimi has been seen by an ophthalmologist for cataracts. The lens in her right eye has a mature cataract and a luxated lens but is not painful. Her left eye has a cataract also. Mimi is very good about getting her eye drops (2 different drops to keep her comfortable and to keep her condition from progressing - cost approx $20 per month). She will need to be on these eyedrop for life and will need an annual visit with the eye doctor. Mimi's bloodwork at intake looked good and her heart is strong and healthy. Mimi has been spayed (Jan 2026) and cane through surgery with flying colors. She is doing well on a Farmer's Dog type of diet - her coat looks so much better than when she arrived and she has even regrown hair on her ears. Adoption fee $250. If you are  the family Mimi is looking for, please fill out an adoption application at www.companimals.org. Excellent vet references are a must. References and home visit required for all of our pups. January 16, 2026, 10:58 am
