ABOUT OZ
This handsome little man is a 6 year old Chihuahua that loves his people! In typical Chihuahua nature, Oz can be reserved meeting new people. However, he is very quick to open up with treats and pets! Recently, Oz attended our puppy shower at Brew HaHa in Greenville, DE. There he met dozens of children and interacted well with other dogs! Oz was a little unsure about puppies trying to jump or mouth him, but enjoyed them best when they were calmly sitting beside him. Oz is very food motivated to learn and already knows basic commands. He is also house-trained and crate-trained. He is currently in a temporary foster home, here's what his foster mom had to say about him:
"Although Oz is shy at first, he will be very sweet after knowing you. He would follow you around at home. When he first arrived home, he peed once from excitement. After he settled down, he has been doing great with housetraining and is not destructive of our furniture. Oz likes to lie on his blankets and our sofa. Oz is very comfortable with sleeping in the crate overnight or when we're gone. He has a furry bunny toy and he loves it. Good with walking on leash, but may bark at bigger dogs sometimes."

If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
