She was adopted from an elderly woman who was entering nursing home. We guess her to be between 8 and 10 years old. She then became a companion to my mother who died 2 years ago. Now I'm planning to move to a new house and I have two other dogs and a cat to care for. My other pets require more specialized care and TT is the more unproblematic one and I feel would have a better chance of being placed in a home. She's quite, sweet, and rather keeps to herself. She DOES NOT like being picked up but doesn't mind head rubs. She can get possessive over her food so be wary.

MEET CINNAMON! This tiny dog has a HUGE zest for life! Cinnamon is a 10ish year old Chihuahua who joined the rescue under sad circumstances (read on below for full story, which includes descriptions of animal abuse). It took her quite some time to recover medically and emotionally. But now that she's finally healed from her ordeal, she's ready to land the perfect forever home! Cinnamon joined us after being dropped off at a local emergency vet. It was reported that Cinnamon had been hit by a car but her injuries were more consistent with blunt force trauma. When she arrived at the hospital, it was discovered that she had a fractured skull and concussion. The nausea caused her to vomit which led to aspirated pneumonia. She spent the next week fighting for her life to recover from the pneumonia. During her x-rays, it was discovered that she had several fractured ribs which were older than the recent skull fracture and an already healed dislocated hip. It's obvious that Cinnamon was not treated kindly over some time though we'll never truly know what happened. Because she required such intensive treatment, Cinnamon does require a sedative for future vet visits to help keep her stress-levels down. She does well with Gabapentin. Despite the suspected abuse, Cinnamon is an absolute LOVE with people outside of a veterinary setting. She takes a few minutes (and maybe a treat) to warm up to new people but once you're in, you're her new best friend! She's spunky, playful, and affectionate. She loves to snuggle on the couch and will follow you around from room to room so you don't get lonely. She doesn't really believe in personal space. Cinnamon does have some leash reactivity while passing other dogs and some new people. She'll bark and lunge in but her foster family has been working on building her confidence on walks and working on a "watch me" command to help redirect her attention. The great news is that she is very food motivated and is always up to try something new so continuing her training should be a breeze! Cinnamon started in a foster home with other dogs and initially interacted well with them, but once she healed and her true personality began to shine, she let us know she does not like sharing her space with other pets. She will guard spaces and items from them. She's now in a pet-free foster home and thriving! Needless to say, she has a very Chihuahua-like personality: big feelings in a tiny body! Because of her history and tiny stature, we think she'd do best in a home without young kids. Cinnamon is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love! She's spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She recently received a dental cleaning and is otherwise in great health! Interested in adopting her? Tres is the third puppy born out of six to my rescue who I bought back from Puerto Rico not knowing that she was pregnant. She was born on April 25 of this year. All her sibling of 3 females and 2 males have been placed by me with loving families who are are happy with their puppy. I would like to be kept up to date on the development of the puppy with videos or pictures because I am willing to re-home the puppy if warranted. She is active and barks at strangers and is fearful of traffic. She is being potty trained and will let me know when she has to go out most of the time. She likes to cuddle. She has been known to have a delicate stomach. She has been prescribed a probiotic for that condition but has recovered very well.

Little Sadie was with a someone that loved her very much but when that person got older and ill she found that she could no longer take care of little Sadie. She asked us if we could help find a loving family for Sadie. She is fully vetted, up to date on all shots, neutered and ready to go. Wouldn't you like to have this pretty little girl in your family? She loves to play and also likes to cuddle a lot. She also gets along very well with cats. She is very well mannered and loves to sleep in bed with you at night.
